With new century we have new revolution which is Industry 4.0. That industry is helping companies to create smarter products together with services in such way that companies will reduce costs and they will increase efficiency. In that operation, human factor is crucial for the application. One of the benefits of the Industry 4.0 is the Smart factory that makes a solution. That is leading to the automated procedures. Also, it is leading to the uncomplicated setup including simple installation and sometimes very high rate of scalability. All of this features will help companies in the manufacturing process and further optimization their own processes. In the end, it will boost up their efficiency from the aspect of manufacturing. With digitalization of major industries, almost 5 million workplaces can be lost by 2020. In the same time, it will stop really fast the market demand for product which are produced using outdated technologies. Because of that, such production would be shut down because of higher costs and inefficiency in the first place.

PurposeThe paper aims to explore the various dimensions of human factor relevant for integrating data-driven supply chain quality management practices (DDSCQMPs) with organizational performance. Keeping the transition phase from “Industry 4.0” to “Industry 5.0” in mind, the paper reinforces the role of the human factor and critically discusses the issues and challenges in the present organizational setup.Design/methodology/approachFollowing the grounded theory approach, the study arranged in-depth interviews and focus group sessions with industry experts from various service-oriented firms in India. Dimensions of human factor identified from there were grouped together through a morphological analysis (MA), and interlinkages between them were explored through a cross-consistency matrix.FindingsThis research work identified 20 critical dimensions of human factor and have grouped them under five important categories, namely, cohesive force, motivating force, regulating force, supporting force and functional force that drive quality performance in the supply chain domain.Originality/valueIn line with the requirements of the present “Industry 4.0” and the forthcoming “Industry 5.0”, where the need to collaborate human factor with smart system gets priority, the paper made a novel attempt in presenting the critical human factors and categorizing them under important driving forces. The research also contributed in linking DDSCQMPs with organizational performance. The proposed framework can guide the future researchers in expanding the theoretical constructs through initiating further cross-cultural studies across industries.

Purpose of the study: The objective of this study is to identify the benefits and challenges of smart industry concept to the human factor, based on the concept of Industry 4.0.Methodology/approach: A systematic literature review was elaborated, based on structured protocols for the selection of a bibliographic portfolio of articles. A bibliometric analysis of the data and content analysis was performed.Originality/relevance: The article discusses human work, focusing on theoretical and practical contributions of international literature. The focus scenario is smart industry, a concept in constant improvement, which currently has acquired influences from Industry 4.0.Main results: The discussions lead us to ponder on human factor in smart industries in the categories physical and mental health at work, human performance and professional career in general. The conclusions points to the need to ensure adequate working conditions in cognitive and psychic aspects, among others.Theoretical and methodological contributions: We present major literature articles, smart industry definitions, main technologies, and grouping benefits and challenges to the human factor.

The purpose of this paper is to provide a bibliometric perspective of Knowledge Management (KM) literature in libraries for the past 21 years (1998-2019), based on Web of Science core collection bibliographical database. The objectives of the paper are to examine a bibliometric profile of publications in the field of KM in libraries and analyze the emerging research trends in KM research in libraries and information centers through Keyword co-occurrence.  This study used bibliometric and citation analysis methods to explore the profile and research trends in knowledge management research in libraries. A total of 83 sources were retrieved via Web of Science’s core collection database using the terms “Knowledge Management, Libraries, Information centers, librarians, information professionals”. Data was analyzed through Web of Science’s Clarivate Analytics, then exported to Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer for production of images and graphs. Findings revealed that the most research outputs were produced in year 2018 mostly in article forms and the University of South Africa led in contribution to knowledge management research in libraries.  Findings also determined top 10 prolific authors and publishing sources; most research were produced by United States, followed by South Africa.  As most KM research is carried out on perceptions, predictions and benefits of KM in libraries and information centers not on KM practice in libraries and its impact on the quality of library services. This has implication on KM practice in libraries and information centers. Practicing librarians are unable to apply KM emulating success stories and best practices of libraries and information centers.  Bibliometric studies on KM are too general, and to the best knowledge of the researcher, none of them so far gives a clear view of research trends of KM in libraries. Hence, this might be the first study to fill this gap, which only analyzed a sample of documents which are more relevant to the scope of the study.

In the current global dynamic and competitive business environment of Industry 4.0, small and medium-sized enterprises face a major challenge of expanding their market activities and adapt to new conditions in order to survive in times of economic or pandemic crisis. The implementation of comprehensive quality management in business environment within EU organizations is a response to this challenge for global competition (Abdul, Sumantoro, & Maria, 2019). Current problem is the fact that the implementation and monitoring of quality management as a process of business management in the majority of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is not sufficiently used, underestimated, or even considered to be obsolete (Rigby, Bilodeau, 2018). In an enterprise with good financial health and healthy corporate culture, all transactions and processes are carried out properly and the relationships among all stakeholders (employees, suppliers, and customers) are successful. For other companies, it is necessary to take steps to ensure quality and follow them (Fernandes et al., 2017) in order to move towards the concept of Industry 4.0. According to published professional literature, each research worker has developed their own framework for mapping value production operations based on specific needs and interests in the fields under review. However, the relationship between the quality processes and value stream maps has not been adequately addressed in professional literature, especially in the case of small and medium-sized enterprises. Therefore, for achieving the objective of the contribution, the following research questions have been formulated: To which extent quality participates in generating value added within production process? In which production operations does the quality factor contributes most to generating value added? PurposeThe purpose of this article is to explore the new concept of TQM 4.0 as a way of adapting quality management (QM) in Industry 4.0 (I4.0), guiding industries to this new phase, which has generated adaptations in numerous areas, one of which is QM and human resources.Design/methodology/approachA systematic review of the literature was carried out. Methodi Ordinatio was applied to build the portfolio of articles with scientific relevance, which is the source of data collections and content analysis. To help out in the analysis, NVivo 12 and VOSviewer software programs were used.FindingsThe results demonstrate that when adapting the QM to the technologies of I4.0, the result is an ecosystem that supports the integration between technology, quality and people in the industrial scenario.Research limitations/implicationsThis article presents a systematic review of the literature, but without delving into specific issues such as the different industrial sectors and the culture of countries in which industries may be inserted, for example, which characterizes a limitation of this research.Practical implicationsThis study provides an ecosystem model that can guide future research, regarding the concept of TQM 4.0, in addition to pointing out some ways of combining technologies, quality and people in the industrial context.Originality/valueThis is one of the first articles to employ a systematic review of the literature using Methodi Ordinatio to build a bibliographic panorama on the intertwining of the themes total QM (TQM) and I4.0, focusing on the emerging concept of TQM 4.0.

Modern trends in the human resource management system in order to improve the efficiency of the company and increase the productivity of personnel contain different tools and techniques. The study of the quality management system of enterprises revealed the relationship between the concept and strategy of the company’s development and personnel policy and identified the theses that contribute to positive changes in the field of employee management. The article analyzes the internal determination of the appropriate methodology, taking into account the characteristics of employees and the human factor.
