Marketing is an activity where business actors offer their products to consumers either directly or indirectly to be able to receive these products with all their ideas and ideas so that these products can be of interest to customers. The study was conducted to determine the Marketing Strategy of Natural Soap (Hand Made Industry) in Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) Tambora, Dompu Exotic Regency. The research method is carried out with a qualitative approach, namely a case study approach using a semi-structured interview technique for MSME owners and participants in the object with a research duration of 4 months from July to November 2021. The results of the study state that marketing is an important element that must be considered in order to match expectations, namely getting expected customer loyalty. Various types of MSMEs with various kinds of products produced and offered are almost the same because MSME products are easy to make with materials that are not so expensive so that a marketing strategy is needed to be able to increase the competitiveness of the products produced by MSMEs. In an effort to develop a marketing strategy, it is very necessary to have complete information related to the market.

When SMEs are part of global value chain, the flows of information in cross-border buyer-supplier relationships which emerge from inward-outward internationalisation connections should be addressed. This study therefore investigates the learning processes of internationalising small and medium enterprises that engage in inward and outward internationalisation. Hence, this study adopts a qualitative case study approach based on ten cases of the internationalising SMEs in Malaysia. Semi-structured interviews with the Managing Directors of the selected SMEs were conducted over a two-year period. Additionally, participant observations were conducted by attending the meetings related to import-export activities and documentations were gathered for data triangulation Findings of this study highlights that the relationship with key foreign suppliers empowered case firms to connect inward to outward internationalisation through collaborative knowledge sharing. The distribution of knowledge through tacit-tacit and tacit-explicit knowledge sharing underpinned by formal planning was a prerequisite for inward-outward internationalisation connections to be established.

Today's world competition has increased the pressure on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to adopt lean implementations. The purpose of this study is to make a small contribution by exploring the Lean Implementation Barrier (LIB) in SMEs through three case studies of SMEs in the city of Bandung. A case study approach is used and followed by the Interpretative Structural Model (ISM) in order to see the inter-LIB relationship. The results of this study indicate that lack of management commitment and leadership, lack of employee involvement and lack of resources are the main obstacles to lean implementation in SMEs in Indonesia. Moreover, poor communication among various levels within the company and inadequate dissemination of knowledge about the benefits of lean also create barriers to lean implementation. The implication of this research is to strengthen and expand information related to research on the application of lean in SMEs, especially the results of the identified barriers that can assist SMEs in implementing lean or future research in developing and identifying barriers to implementing lean in SMEs.

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as a business sector that supports the country's economy are required to have adequate internal controls to support the achievement of company goals. This research was conducted with a case study approach on culinary business. In general, the companies in this study have implemented adequate internal control components. In terms of achieving company goals, namely financial reporting, the MSMEs studied have made financial reports independently because they consider the cost factor when using expensive consultants and also most of the MSME actors already have accounting skills. However, for tax reports in general, make and reported with the help of consultants due to lack of tax regulations that often change. Regarding the achievement of operating objectives regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, the MSMEs studied are still focused on production activities because production activities are the main activity to provide satisfaction to consumers by utilizing Standard Operating Procedures. Compliance with the applicable rules and laws of the 13 companies studied is varied because it depends on the presence of regulators and whether or not there are strict sanctions and involvement of related parties and bargaining power of stakeholders.
