This article aims to examine the contribution of Vargo and Lusch (V&L) to service-dominant logic (S-D logic) thinking from the first time it appeared until now. No previous study has specifically analyzed all contributions of V&L since the phenomenon appearance of their article about this perspective in 2004. We identified a total of 146 titles of scientific publications by V&L with other authors on the S-D logic perspective over a period of 17 years (2004–2020). Each publication was analyzed through content analysis in several key aspects. This study found that the types of publications were dominated by journal articles and book chapters. There are 95 names of authors who have collaborated with V&L, mostly from the Americas and Europe. Based on the organization of origin of the researcher, 64 organizations have collaborated with V&L. All V&L publications are spread across 44 scientific journals, which include marketing and non-marketing journals or those from other social sciences. As a novelty, this study succeeds in explaining the evolution of S-D logic research over time based on V&L works through a systematic investigation. In this study, V&L’s efforts to institutionalize S-D logic can be traced.

Abstract Is it journal editors’ role to decide whether the language of the manuscripts submitted to their journals is fine? Among so many duties they have, this one seems to be all-too-often forgotten, or ignored, affecting the quality of scientific publications. Their indifference can also lead to unnecessary arguments between authors and reviewers, or to situations in which the authors have no idea what to do. Left alone, authors seldom win, even if they are right. This paper discusses whose role it is to keep writing quality of journal articles.

Since the first publication by Glaser and Strauss in 1967, Grounded Theory has become a highly influential research approach in the social sciences. The approach provides techniques and coding strategies for building theory inductively from the “ground up” as concepts within the data earn relevance into an evolving substantive theory. Over time, Grounded Theory has undergone development and adaptations, and the first phases of analysis have been successfully applied to other types of inductive approaches, such as basic qualitative and case studies. The methodological literature can be difficult to navigate for new researchers as well as experienced analysts using the approach for the first time. This article synthesizes the work of various seminal scholars to address the value of grounded theorizing and it builds a picture of what it means to do grounded theory.

LABURPENA 80ko hamarkadan euskara normalizatzeko martxan jarri ziren ekimenen ondorioz, euskara bere tokia hartzen joan da eremu akademikoan eta, horrekin lotuta, argitalpen zientifikoetan. Lan honen helburua euskaraz (ere) ekoizten duten aldizkari zientifikoetan euskarak zer presentzia daukan jakitea da. Azterketa corpus batera mugatu da: 2010-2019. urteen artean eaen eta nfkn argitaratu diren giza nahiz gizarte zientzietako 31 aldizkari. Aldizkari horietan euskarak izan duen presentzia neurtu da, bai artikuluetan eta bai artikulu horien abstractetan. Emaitzek erakusten dutenez, euskararen presentzia oraindik eskasa da eta ez dago euskararen aldeko apusturik inpaktu handieneko aldizkarietan. ABSTRACT As a result of the actions established for the normalization of the Basque language in the 1980s, Basque has carved a niche in the academic sphere and, thus, in scientific publications. The purpose of this paper is to find out the presence of the Basque language in the scientific journals in which it is published (also) in Basque. This study has been limited to a corpus: 31 Social Sciences and Humanities journals published in the Basque Autonomous Community and Foral Community of Navarre between 2010 and 2019. The presence of the Basque language has been measured in the papers of these journals, as well as in the abstracts of those papers. The results show that the presence of Basque is still scarce and that there is no firm commitment to Basque in high impact journals.
