This chapter shows how retailers – without any previous experience or education – utilize a new mobile advertising channel. The chapter focuses on permission-based mobile advertising and the specific features that should be considered when designing and targeting mobile advertising. The empirical part of the chapter analyzes data from a field trial where Finnish retailers were able to use mobile advertising. The empirical data is obtained through the use of content analysis. Data analysis explores whether the retailers positioned the m-adverts to target either individuals or groups and whether the content of the m-adverts reflected and utilized the medium’s specific features. The results of this analysis suggest that both retailers and advertising agencies have to learn how to use m-advertising as a new media. Conclusions of the chapter suggest ways to fully utilize the potential of mobile advertising.

Background: Training specialist manpower requires social justice in higher education and inequality leads to the emergence of hierarchies of power and types of dominant or dominated groups. Aim: The aim of the present study was to explain the perceptions and experiences of the heads of nursing departments of Iranian nursing schools regarding medical dominance in nursing education. Methods: The present study was a conventional content analysis. Data collection was carried out using purposeful sampling and in-depth semi-structured interviews with 24 participants. The data analysis process was performed according to Graneheim and Lundman’s qualitative content analysis (2004).  Findings: Data analysis led to the emergence of the theme of "Medical dominance in nursing education" and the three main categories of “physician-centered university education", "weakened educational status", and "belittling nursing education in medical system”. Conclusion: The findings of the present study indicated that physicians enjoy special and superior position in the structure of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran. Physicians manage the entire system including medical education due to their greater power in managing the system at all micro and macro levels. Thus, other disciplines including nursing education, which are closely related to medicine, are highly ignored.

Given the scant literature on the use of celebrity endorsements in advertisements targeting Middle East markets such as Saudi Arabia, this study is aimed at contributing knowledge through investigating the extent to which advertising agencies use this strategy to attract Saudi consumers. A qualitative content analysis of advertisements appearing in traditional print and visual media and on YouTube is conducted. Interestingly, the results show that none of the advertisements in traditional printed media utilize endorsements from Saudi celebrities. While a few Saudi celebrity endorsers appear in television and YouTube commercials, none is portrayed as an expert in the products advertised. In contrast, many embedded endorsements appear in YouTube shows targeting Saudi youths, and the celebrities in these shows are often YouTubers themselves. All three types of endorsements (explicit, implicit, and co-present) are used by these YouTubers, and they are all one-sided endorsements.
