Adopting digital technologies is believed to enhance the service innovation practices and operational excellence of MSMEs and has a positive impact on competitive advantage and at least supported for survival in the market. The adoption of digital technologies seems accessible for MSMEs of Myanmar, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it made no choice to adopt it at least for business survival. The research has been done on the pharmaceutical retailers, B2B clients of Tharmadaw.com, on adopting digital technologies and to give recommendations as to further strategic solutions for pharmaceutical retailers across the country. The adopting behaviors, challenges, problems, current and expected solutions, gaps on the road to further adoption of advanced digital technologies were revealed. The research finding is to support implementing further solutions for the clients by knowing their behaviors and perception on adopting digital technologies to enhance their service innovation practices in order to gain better competitive advantage.

This chapter is a continuation of the preceding chapter, where the author discussed the obstacles encountered by established companies when wishing to transform their business models and provides suggestions for improvement of their corporate governance to better navigate the digital transformation. In this chapter, the author provides practical rules of the road for how established companies can monetize their data including some pitfalls for established companies and discusses a number of ethical dilemmas that companies have encountered in practice when implementing new digital technologies and services.

Pelayanan publik merupakan elemen yang sangat penting dalam penyelenggaraan pemerintahan. Inovasi yang dibuat oleh Pemkot Surabaya bersama Dishub Kota Surabaya berkaitan dengan sistem parkir online yang disebut Park and Ride TIJ. Inovasi pelayanan ini diciptakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan peningkatan kepemilikan kendaraan di Kota Surabaya yang membuat kebutuhan parkir meningkat, tetapi tidak diikuti dengan penambahan lahan parkir. Parkir di badan jalan mengakibatkan pergerakan lalu lintas terhambat sehingga terjadi kemacetan terutama di pusat keramaian tengah kota seperti Jalan Wonokromo, Jalan Darmo, dan Jalan Setail. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan Inovasi Pelayanan Publik Park and Ride TIJ Oleh Dishub Kota Surabaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Fokus penelitian dengan teori milik Yogi Suwarno (2008:19) yaitu aspek-aspek penting yang menunjukkan suatu organisasi telah melakukan inovasi meliputi Pengetahuan Baru, Cara Baru, Objek Baru, Teknologi Baru, dan Penemuan Baru. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan ditarik kesimpulan berdasarkan data yang menjawab rumusan masalah. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah semua fasilitas yang ada di Park and Ride TIJ sudah sangat bagus dan memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Hanya saja kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk menggunakan fasilitas yang sudah disediakan oleh pemerintah. Setelah didirikan Park and ride pun masih ditemukan masalah yakni banyak masyarakat masih melakukan parkir liar terutama pengunjung Kebun Binatang Surabaya, serta sopir angkot yang “ngetem” di pinggir jalan sehingga menimbulkan kemacetan. Kemudian terkait dengan penerapan e-payment, karena banyak masyarakat masih menggunakan uang tunai untuk pembayaran parkir di Park nad Ride TIJ. Kata Kunci: Pelayanan Publik, Inovasi Pelayanan, Park and Ride   Public service is a very important element in government administration. The innovation made by the Surabaya City Government and the Surabaya City Transportation Agency is related to an online parking system called the TIJ Park and Ride. This service innovation was created to solve the problem of increasing vehicle ownership in the city of Surabaya which makes parking needs increase, but not followed by additional parking lots. Parking on the road causes traffic movement to be hampered, resulting in congestion, especially in the downtown area such as Jalan Wonokromo, Jalan Darmo, and Jalan Setail. The purpose of this study was to describe the TIJ Park and Ride Public Service Innovation by the Surabaya City Transportation Agency. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The focus of research with Yogi Suwarno's (2008: 19) theory is important aspects that show an organization has made innovations including New Knowledge, New Methods, New Objects, New Technologies, and New Inventions. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation and conclusions drawn based on data that answered the problem formulation. The result of this research is that all existing facilities at the TIJ Park and Ride are very good and meet the needs of the community. It's just a lack of public awareness to use the facilities provided by the government. After the establishment of Park and Ride, problems were still found, namely that many people were still parking illegal, especially visitors to the Surabaya Zoo, as well as public transportation drivers who "stuck" on the side of the road, causing congestion. Then related to the application of e-payments, because many people still use cash for parking payments at TIJ Park nad Ride. Keywords: Public Service, Service Innovation, Park and Ride

The article discusses government policy in the field of digital transformation of the country. The concept of public policy and digitalization is considered. It is noted that a properly constructed legal and state policy is the key to achieving success in the intended goal in the development of the country. An attempt is made to highlight the positive aspects of both competent public policy and the development of the state at the rate of using innovative technologies. The author tried to highlight the positive impact of the transition to digital technologies on the quality of human life and government activities in the future. Several examples of the implementation of automated information systems are given.

In Egypt, it is believed that speed humps are the cheapest and best solutions to reduce vehicles speed and thus reduce the number of potential accidents. Due to the lack of specifications in Egypt that govern the installation of speed humps, they were spread randomly and with different dimensions without adequate studies. Consequently, this practice can cause adverse effects on the road users and the surrounding environment. For this purpose, a questionnaire was designed to discuss the different effects of using speed humps in Kafr El-Sheikh city as a typical model in the Egyptian cities. To verify that the questionnaire is appropriate for the intended task, it was evaluated by 30 respondents aged 18 years and over. After the trial process, the required corrections were made to the proposed form of the questionnaire. Then, final questionnaires were distributed and 1000 responses were collected from all road users, whether they were pedestrians, drivers, owners of vehicles or vehicle repairmen by using face-to-face interviews. The responses were analysed using SPSS program. The results reflected that the installation of speed humps contributed greatly to reduce vehicles speed, the flow of traffic and accidents rate. On the other hand, the results proved that humps also contribute significantly to the environmental pollution, damage to the pavement and vehicles especially when they are poorly designed and located. The majority of respondents attributed the random spread of the speed humps to the weakness of the authorities in law enforcement and the prevention of the installation of new humps without authorization. Finally, with the widespread use of speed humps and with the exception of the positive impact on traffic safety, it also has negative impacts on both the economy and the environment. Finally, the use of speed humps can cause many harmful effects to the neighbourhood, if there no strict control on its installation process. Unless specifications and some standards should be strictly followed, other means of traffic calming measures should be considered.

Subject. Development and development of digital technologies of public administration in the subjects of the Russian Federation. Topic. Digital transformation of public administration in the framework of the implementation of national projects in the subjects of the Russian Federation. Goals. The present research investigates the contribution of environmental innovation to firms’ competitive advantage through the case of medium and large-sized firms operating in Greece. Due to the growing trend of environmental innovation in Greece and a consequent increase in the research interest, this paper fills the existing gap in the relevant literature as there is not enough evidence concerning Greek firms’ environmental innovation practices. To meet the research goal, a questionnaire was distributed to 892 medium and large-sized firms operating in Greece; 225 questionnaires were finally responded. The data is based on firms’ self-assessment concerning environmental innovation and competitive advantage and are analyzed using both descriptive and inductive statistics, including principal components analysis and multiple linear regression. The research results show that the examined firms implement environmental innovation practices at a moderate level. The most common practices of environmental innovation are the implementation of ISO 14001 management systems and the toxic substances usage reduction. The percentage of ISO 14001 implementation is increased compared to the previous years. Furthermore, the regression analysis revealed that the components concerning environmental process innovation and environmental product innovation have a positive impact on the examined firms’ competitive capability. The relationship between open innovation and environmental innovation and the contribution of open innovation dynamics are discussed as well.

A article is devoted to study of the roads pavement condition influence with improved surface on the road traffic safety. The topicality of the issue is confirmed traffic police statistics and a significant list of scientific papers dealing with issues of water and heat balance of soil mass. The article deals with the road, located in the city and suburban areas. The work shows the temperature and humidity influence on the process of soil freezing and on the road surface integrity directly. Mathematical models of temperature distribution processes and filtration fluid movement in the ground are presented. In article offered option to improve the technical and operational characteristics of roads. It will have a positive impact on the traffic safety and smoothness.
