There existed an underground air-raid shelter group under the foundation of the proposed site, whose stability analysis and evaluation was the key problem on the safe use of the proposed site. Based on the engineering geological characteristics of the proposed site, the stability of the underground air-raid shelter under the present situation was evaluated and analyzed by the Pullman's Theory (unloading arch theory), meanwhile, the variety rule of the stress and strain of the underground air-raid shelter under the future situation was studied by the using of numerical simulation of Flac3d. Combined with the actual investigation, the results of analysis and study show that: the underground air-raid shelter is not stable under the present and future situation of the site, therefore, the relative measures must be taken.

In this paper a prey-predator-scavenger food web model is proposed and studied. It is assumed that the model considered the effect of harvesting and all the species are infected by some toxicants released by some other species. The stability analysis of all possible equilibrium points is discussed. The persistence conditions of the system are established. The occurrence of local bifurcation around the equilibrium points is investigated. Numerical simulation is used and the obtained solution curves are drawn to illustrate the results of the model. Finally, the nonexistence of periodic dynamics is discussed analytically as well as numerically.

Slope stability analysis requires detect and control the stress and strain timely. Familiar with the slope‘s stress and strain changes in excavation process has important guiding significance for the actual construction. In this paper, choose a slope in Guangxi freeway renovation and expansion process as the research object. Use FLAC3D to analysis the stress and displacement simulation results of this slope excavation step by step. Summarize the excavation regular pattern.

In this paper, a new lattice model is proposed with the consideration of the multiple optimal current differences for two-lane traffic system. The linear stability condition and the mKdV equation are obtained with the considered multiple optimal current differences effect by making use of linear stability analysis and nonlinear analysis, respectively. Numerical simulation shows that the multiple optimal current differences effect can efficiently improve the stability of two-lane traffic flow. Furthermore, the three front sites considered, is the optimal state of two-lane freeway.

A new lattice model is proposed by taking into account the interruption probability with passing for two-lane freeway. The effect of interruption probability with passing is investigated about the linear stability condition and the mKdV equation through linear stability analysis and nonlinear analysis, respectively. Furthermore, numerical simulation is carried out to study traffic phenomena resulted from the interruption probability with passing in two-lane system. The results show that the interruption probability with passing can improve the stability of traffic flow for low reaction coefficient while the interruption probability with passing can destroy the stability of traffic flow for high reaction coefficient on two-lane highway.

Self-excited vibrations significantly reduce the milling productivity, deteriorate the quality of machined surface and tool life. One of the ways to avoid these vibrations is to modify the cutting parameters based on the stability analysis results. A method of numerical simulation of self-excited vibrations in the time domain can be used for this purpose. A comparison of numerical simulation results with those from experiments conducted using a milling machine is presented. The results confirm the correctness of applied modeling.

The stability and dynamics of an axisymmetric lifted flame are studied by means of direct numerical simulation (DNS) and linear stability analysis of the reacting low-Mach-number equations. For light fuels (such as non-premixed methane/air flames), the non-reacting premixing zone upstream of the lifted flame base contains a pocket of absolute instability supporting self-sustaining oscillations, causing flame flicker even in the absence of gravity. The liftoff heights of the unsteady flames are lower than their steady counterparts (obtained by the method of selective frequency damping (SFD)), owing to premixed flame propagation during a portion of each cycle. From local stability analysis, the lifted flame is found to have a significant stabilizing influence at and just upstream of the flame base, which can truncate the pocket of absolute instability. For sufficiently low liftoff heights, the truncated pocket of absolute instability can no longer support self-sustaining oscillations, and the flow is rendered globally stable.

Diabetes mellitus (Dm) is a disease associated with impaired immune function so it is more susceptible to get infections including Tuberculosis (Tb). Tb disease can also worsen blood sugar levels which can cause Dm disease. This study aims to analyze and determine the stability of the equilibrium point of the spread of Tb disease in patients with Dm with consideration nine compartments, which are susceptible Tb without Dm, susceptible Tb without Dm complication, susceptible Tb with Dm complication, expose Tb without Dm, expose Tb with Dm, infected Tb without Dm, infected Tb with Dm, recovered Tb without Dm, and recovered Tb with Dm with treatment factors. The result obtained from the analysis of the model is two equilibrium points, which are the non endemic and endemic equilibrium points. The endemic equilibrium point does not exist if , endemic will appear if . Analytical and numerical simulation show that the spread of disease can be reduced and stopped if treatment is given to the infected compartment.

The unstable failure of slope is frequent and the prevention is high difficult in the process of engineering construction. To provide reference for the prevention and control of slope landslide disaster, this paper take an engineer slope as the study background and make the strength stability analysis and evaluation of this slope. Through simulating different conditions by using the current comparatively mature limit equilibrium theory, analyzed and evaluated the stability of the slope under the conditions of precipitation, drainage and reinforced and master stability condition of this slope in the corresponding condition. The slope stability evaluation analysis results under different conditions showed that the landslide is more easily to take place under the conditions of natural state, heavy rainfall and earthquake. Slope stability improved in the drainage condition. At the same time, this paper combined the evaluation results of the analysis, putting forward prevention measures and suggestions for slope.
