With the development of economy and society, urban construction rose to a new level in China. High-rise and super high-rise building increase rapidly. In the high-rise and super high-rise buildings (H≥150 m), the structural system usually adopts the conventional reinforced concrete, including frame tube structure, tube in tube structure, steel frame with reinforced concrete core tube hybrid structure and tube in tube steel - concrete mixed structure. These traditional structural systems often lead to the problems of fat beam fat column and high expenditure, which is not economic and unfriendly to the environment. This paper not only presents a new type of concrete core wall and prefabricated space steel grid cassette tube in tube structure system, but also discusses the superiority of the new type structure through the innovation and practice of a super high (266 m) five-star hotel and office building integrated engineering construction.

In this research, a reduced scale model of the composite high-rise building with steel reinforced concrete column, steel beam and reinforced concrete core tube was designed and tested by using the shake table test technology. The acceleration and displacement of the model were measured during the tests. The cracking pattern and failure mechanism were illustrated. Above the shake table test, the finite element analysis of the test mode was carried out. The main effort of the numerical analysis was focused on the selection of the nonlinear models. Based on the experiment results and the strategy of considering nonlinear property of the beam-column joint and the short beam of the concrete core wall were proposed. It is proved that the proposed strategy is effective and economical for seismic behavior assessment of such composite high-rise building structure system.

Diagrid tube structure system has advantages on constructing high-rise buildings due to its great stiffness, however, its seismic performance analysis are limited. 10 CFST diagrid tube-concrete core tube structures are analyzed by Mode-Pushover method using Perform-3D program. The plasticity developing process and components yield order are summarized. The force distribution between diagrid and core tubes is researched and the force redistribution reason is explained from the change of diagrid tube forces. The structure lateral stiffness degradation is discussed based on the developing process of diagrid and core tubes lateral stiffness. The influences of main lateral stiffness related factors on the structure plasticity developing process, force distribution and stiffness change of the tubes are discussed at last.

Kingkey building in Shenzhen is a kind of tube in tube structure which consists of outer tube and reinforced concrete core tube. The outer tube is composed of CFST columns. The article introduces the design idea and theory of the whole mould-lifting system during the work progress and analyses the security and global stability of steel platform and support columns in the system during the different construction stages, which is combined with the structure of the core tube and the construction characteristics.

There is a high-rise building whose main structure is framework - core tube. In order to meet the requirements for architectural features, the distance between the outer frame and the exterior wall of core tube is relatively small, therefore the floor structure program adopts a thick plate and wide flat beam floor system, and part floors of the upper structure adopt a thick plate and dark beam system. As wide flat beams (dark beams) have a small height and cannot form effective support for the floor, special analysis has been made on floors from the security point of view without considering the role of wide flat beams (dark beams). The floor system of this high-rise building has been analyzed and discussed with regard to bearing capacity, deformation, comfort and other aspects.
