Modeling and Simulating Industrial Manipulator Based on ADAMS

Firstly, the industrial manipulators 3D model is built by using 3D software. Secondly, the 3D model is imported to the dynamic simulation software ADAMS, and the corresponding constraints and motions are added to the model according to the actual design requirements. Finally, the movement simulation is implemented and the displacement, velocity and acceleration curves of each direction for the end position and mid-position are given. The simulation results show the correctness and feasibility of the industrial manipulators 3D model. Therefore, this can provide a certain referencing value for designing industrial manipulator.

Based on UG and Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical System (ADAMS), the 3D model of differential was constructed and the real-time dynamic simulation of differential was achieved. The effects of gear backlash between half axle gears and planetary gears on the vibration of differential are studied. To increase the credibility of simulation results , the contact forces between half axle gears and planetary gears were calculated based on the Hertz elasticity impact theory.

Performance test rig of the electric nail gun consists of five partsand the key one of which is the loading mechanism. By analyzing its working principle, virtual prototype model of the loading mechanism was established using simulation software ADAMS. Through simulation of the prototype model, the design requirements of the loading mechanism were given. Then, using the method of parametric analysis, dynamic characteristics of loading mechanism was obtained. Eventually, the relationship between the preload force of loading spring and the implanted force of the sample nail was presented.

A mechanical arm of hot extruding and upsetting machine 3D model was established by using SolidWorks and imported into ADAMS. The mechanical arm was simulated in ADAMS and the simulation results showed that the model of mechanical arm could meet all the design requirements well, and the kinematics simulation results could offer the references to design the mechanical arm of hot extruding and upsetting machine.

In this paper, a novel stair-climbing wheelchair is proposed. This new architecture represents an improvement over previous designs, in particular with regards to stability and safety during stair-climbing operations. The proposed mechanical architecture is hybrid: two locomotion units based on a “rotating leg” system are coupled with an idle track. This structure satisfies many design requirements: small dimensions, reduced weight, and a stable and regular climbing trajectory. In particular, the focus of this study is the design of an actuation system, the choice of suitable control logics, and the dynamic analysis of the proposed solution. The behavior of the wheelchair was tested through multibody simulation. The simulation results show that the proposed device can climb a staircase in a stable and safe manner. Certain smart dynamic features of the wheelchair were also proven. In particular, the efficacy of the cooperative actuation system and the effectiveness of the proposed control logic were analyzed. In conclusion, the simulation results demonstrate the appropriate operation of the proposed device, which will be used to design a working prototype of the stair-climbing wheelchair.

Soekarno-Hatta Intl Airport had become busier every and each year passed. Based on Airnav’s data in 2016, there was about 1.200 aircraft movement, included take-off and landing, happened in Soekarno-Hatta Intl Airport in one day. These numerous movements made Soekarno-Hatta Intl Airport became the 12th busiest airport in the world based on Airport Council International (ACI). The long queue of the aircraft at the taxiway is deniable and became one of the problems that needs to be resolved. This research would make aircrafts movement simulation in Soekarno-Hatta Intl Airport’s taxiway(s) using Rockwell Arena Simulation software. The simulation results would be total taxiing time of an aircraft, which intersection(s) that traffic happened, and the total of aircraft(s) that doing taxi in and taxi out. This simulation would help to determine and evaluate the factors that initiated the queue in the taxiway and modify taxiing route to reduce the traffic. The results of this research can be applied by the airport as a reference for scheduling aircraft’s departing or arriving, develop airport airside facility, and to improve taxiing route so the duration of aircraft’s taxiing time can be reduced

A novel piano action mechanism is presented, which is based on a multi-lobed lifting cam. The cam replaces several bodies in the standard action mechanism and allows the upright piano to achieve fast repetition of a single note, which is a quality more commonly attributed to grand piano actions. The use of simulation software to aid in tuning of the design is described, and the final simulation results are presented. These results indicate the ability of the new mechanism to achieve good performance over a range of playing intensities and to play repeated notes in rapid succession.

With the rapid development of modern electromagnetics, a lot of electromagnetic field numerical methods are maturing. 3D electromagnetic simulation software HFSS has two solutions including incentive solving and eigenmode solving. When solving the calculation of the structure of eigenmodes or resonant type can use eigenmode solver. Using matlab generate HFSS scripting language-based program to set eigenmode solution is a very convenient and very innovative approach. The program on a circular cavity modeling and eigenmode solution set simulation results meet the design requirements.

To manufacture three-dimensional textile composite preform using method of unilateral suture technique, a unilateral suture manipulator system has been designed. In order to inspect whether it can meet the design requirements , this article establish the kinematic model of the major institutions by using vector method,and use simulation software to analysis the kinematics of thread-leading, thread-hooking and thead-taking-up mechanism. Accordingly, law of motion graphs of the mechanism can be reflected, and the simulation results demonstrate the design of unilateral suture manipulator which are reasonable and efficient.

To improve the design efficiency of medical robot arm, a virtual simulation system was built by making full use of the virtual simulation technology. First , a 3D model of the robot arm with five-freedom was built in Solidworks; and then, the model was imported into the dynamic simulation software RecurDyn for kinematics and dynamic simulation; at last, through the interface modular part of Matlab/Simulink and RecurDyn, medical robot arm control system was established by using Simulink module and coordinated simulation of five-freedom was successfully implemented .The simulation results indicate that the coordinated simulation system of the robot arm has preferable dynamic response characteristics and nicer locus-tracking ability.
