Service marketing focuses on service encounter stimuli, such as the servicescape, employee interactions, the core service, and other customers. The studies that have focused on other customers’ role as a social component of the service environment have led to the development of a comprehensive measure of other customer perception. Thus, based on the social impact theory, attraction theory and the theory of uniqueness, the study analysed the effect of Other Customer Perception (OCP), Need for Uniqueness (NFU and their interaction on service experience and revisit intention by employing a scenario-based quasi-experimental research design with a sample of 127 job holder postgraduate management students using convenient sampling technique. The study employed MANOVA GLM model and concludes that while the impact of consumers’ perceptions of other customers’ similarity does influence service experience of the customers, demonstrating that not only the restaurant itself, but also the entities in the surrounding network such as other customers have an impact on service experience and their revisit intention. Therefore, other customer effect, which works as a basis for service experience and revisit intention, should not be neglected when designing the surroundings in restaurant settings.

Abstract Mark Greenberg argues that legal obligations are those moral obligations created by the actions of legal institutions in the legally proper way (Moral Impact Theory of Law, MITL). Here I defend three main claims. First, I argue that, although very often misunderstood, Joseph Raz is also a defender of MITL. Secondly, I argue that while both Greenberg and Raz are committed to MITL, they disagree about the conditions under which a moral obligation can be said to be created in the legally proper way. Finally, I argue that Raz’s variant of MITL is better than Greenberg’s. It rests on a more plausible account of authority and it avoids one of the crucial defects threatening Greenberg’s view, namely, its overinclusiveness.

This research discusses the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on the female workers economy in Serang City. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected various areas of people's life, including the economy. On the other hand, female workers are among those affected by Covid-19. The theory used in this study is the Cohen economic impact theory which includes the impact on income, the impact on economic activity, and the impact on expenditure. The research method used is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. This research's informants are the Labor Office of Serang Banten, the Giant Labor Community, and formal female workers. The results showed that the Covid-19 pandemic in Serang City influenced some female workers' economic aspects, such as income, economic activities, and expenditure. This influence is especially for women workers affected, such as female workers at home, who are laid off until their work contract is terminated.

This article describes the impact of postponement of Umrah and Hajj towards Indonesia during Covid-19 pandemic. The bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia have been going on for a long time. Hajj and Umrah visits are one way to establish bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. During pandemic, Saudi Arabia make a foreign policy to postponement Umrah and Hajj, this policy make Indonesian Muslim unable to pilgrimage Umrah and Hajj. This postponement will impact Indonesia in many sectors. The research method used in this study is a descriptive study and library research aims to understand the reasons for a state to make a foreign policy and understand the impact of these policies towards Indonesia. Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) concept, Foreign Policy theory, and Foreign Policy Impact Theory are used to analyze the impact of postponement Hajj and Umrah. The findings confirm that the actors that felt the impact were the government, Hajj and Umrah travel agents, and also the Hajj and Umrah pilgrims from Indonesia.

AbstractIn this analysis, we consider the effects of non-quiescent initial conditions driven by pre-impact air–water interactions on the classical Wagner model of impact theory. We consider the problem of a rigid, solid impactor moving vertically towards a liquid pool. Prior to impact, viscous forces in the air act to deform the liquid free surface, inducing a flow in the pool. These interactions are then incorporated as initial conditions in the post-impact analysis. We derive expressions for the size of the effective contact set, the leading-order pressure and force on the impactor, and the speed and thickness of the jet at its base. In all cases, we show that the effect of the pre-impact behaviour is to cushion the impactor, reducing the size of the effective contact set and, hence, the force on the impactor. Small- and large-time asymptotic solutions are derived for general power-law impactors, and we show that the effects of the air die away as the impact progresses, so that we approach the classical Wagner solution.

This study focused on the impact load produced by a projectile and its potential application in the Taylor impact test. Taylor impact tests were designed and carried out for projectiles with four types of nose shapes, and the impact deformation characteristics and variation of the impact load as a function of the nose shape and impact velocity were studied. The overall high g loading experienced by the projectile body during the impact was discussed, and based on classical Taylor impact theory, impact analysis models for the various nose-shape projectiles were established and the causes of the different impact load pulse shapes were analyzed. This study reveals that the nose shape has a significant effect on the impact load waveform and pulse duration characteristics, while the impact velocity primarily affects the peak value of the impact load. Thus, the loading of specific impact environments could be regulated by the projectile nose shape design and impact velocity control, and the impact load could be simulated. Research results support the assumption that the Taylor impact test can be applied to high g loading test.

The COVID-19 pandemic led to surprising and unexpected experiences for Saudi university students. Precautionary and preventive measures taken to contain this pandemic impacted the social and educational aspects of these students’ lives. All Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) students were invited to participate in an online survey on 30 impacts, both positive and negative, of the COVID-19 pandemic on their lives. Social impact theory (SIT) was applied to illustrate these impacts. The survey yielded 1,360 responses. The results showed high to moderate levels of agreement regarding students’ perceptions of the positive and negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their lives, with social aspects impacted more than educational ones; and no statistically significant gender differences. Weak correlations were found between the social aspects and the educational aspects of students’ lives in relation to the impact of the pandemic, although all aspects were correlated positively. The SIT framework provided insights into how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted students’ lives.
