With the increasing popularization of the application of steel structure in the construction field of China, quality problem has become a major challenge of steel structure. Therefore, how to better control the quality of steel structure has been a very important issue in China now. In this paper, combined with the characteristics of steel structure engineering technology, how to better control the quality of steel structure installation projects is discussed and analyzed in depth.

Abstrak. Dunia industri yang semakin berkembang akan mengakibatkan banyaknya persaingan. Perus-ahaan yang dapat bersaing adalah perusahaan yang dapat menjaga  kualitas produknya dengan baik sehingga dapat memenuhi kepuasan konsumen. Maka dari itu diperlukan pengendalian kualitas. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada penurunan cacat pada produk batu bata merah di CV. Ghatan Fatahillah dengan metode Six Sigma-DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, dan Control). Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan DPMO sebesar 36.212 dengan nilai sigma 3,29. Jenis cacat yang paling sering terjadi pada batu bata merah yaitu pecah/patah yaitu sebesar 4.327 atau 59,81% dari total keseluruhan produk yang cacat.  Hasil dari tahap analyze dengan fishbone diagram, ditetapkan penyebab dari pecah/cacat, yaitu: pekerja kurang paham standar kualitas, tidak adanya pemeriksaan produk, pekerja kurang paham prosedur kerja, kinerja mesin tidak stabil, pekerja kurang teliti,  jumlah penggilingan tidak menentu, dan komposisi batu bata tidak menentu. Maka perlu dilakukan usulan perbaikan agar dapat mengurangi jumlah produk yang cacat pada batu bata merah. Kata kunci: DMAIC, DPMO, Pengendalian Kualitas, Six Sigma Abstract. The growing industrial world will result in a lot of competition. Companies that can compete are companies that can maintain the quality of their products well so that they can meet customer satisfaction. Therefore, quality control is needed. This research is focused on reducing defects in red brick products at CV. Ghatan Fatahillah with the Six Sigma-DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). From the research results obtained DPMO of 36,212 with a sigma value of 3.29. The type of defect that most often occurs in red bricks is broken / broken, which is 4,327 or 59.81% of the total defective products. The results of the Analyze stage with the fishbone diagram showed that the causes of breakage / defects were determined, namely: workers do not understand quality standards, lack of product inspection, workers do not understand work procedures, unstable machine performance, workers are not careful, the number of mills is erratic, and composition erratic bricks. So it is necessary to make improvement proposals in order to reduce the number of defective products in red bricks. Keywords: DMAIC, DPMO, Quality Control, Six Sigma

PT</em><em>.X</em><em> is one of the companies that produce</em><em> </em><em>telon</em><em> oil</em><em>.</em><em> To maintain</em><em> the quality of telon oil from PT.X</em><em> product</em><em>, required overall quality control that is starting from the quality control of raw materials, quality control process to the quality control of the final product. The purpose of this research is to know the application of Statistical Quality Control (SQC) in controlling the quality of telon oil in PT X. </em><em>F</em><em>inal product</em><em> quality</em><em> become one of the measurement of success of a process, so it needs a good quality control. SQC method used in this research is Pareto Diagram and Cause and Effect Diagram. Pareto diagram is a bar graph </em><em>that </em><em>show the problem based on the order of the number of occurrences of the most number of problems until the least happened. A causal diagram is often called a fishbone diagram, a tool for identifying potential causes of an effect or problem. The result of applying the method indicates that 80% defect is caused by unsuitable volume and on the incompatibility of Expired Date (ED) code. The damage is caused by several factors namely the method, labor, and machine while the most potential factor is the volume conformity to reduce the number of defect products.</em></p>

Based on the building steel structure engineering, this paper discussed the construction technology and technical measures of steel structure under negative temperature in northeast China in winter, such as the installing construction, the welding construction, the paint coating construction and so on.

<p>This paper discusses a conducted research in the food industry with a variety of snack products such as bread, cream wafers, cookies, wafer sticks, chocolate, and dry cake. The company should always improve the quality of processes and products according to customer demands. Six Sigma method is expected to improve the quality of process and product in the company. Six Sigma is a quality system approach to be used in the industrialization function engaged in the manufacturing and services sectors. Generally, six sigma strategy utilizes DMAIC approach (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control). This research focused on product wafers abon, because it contributed a large number of defects. Moreover, this paper discusses two main processes:1. oven and cooling sheet process, 2. creaming and pressing process. The improvement is focused in the creaming and pressing process, because it presents 65% of defects. Based on the obtained data processing, COPQ for 1 month is Rp. 65,473,200, - and there are 3 priority CTQ’s in the issues, Pasta Tidak Rata (53.68%), Crashed Edge (16.29%), and Crack (16.12%). Results of capability process are 91.51% and sigma level of wafer abon product is 3.647628 sigma. An analysis has been done by brainstorming to find the cause of the defect and then arranged in a fishbone diagram and five why’s diagram. Proposed improvements including to create specification given standards for setup oven and creaming machine.</p><p>Keyword: Quality Control, Six Sigma, DMAIC</p>

UD. CP is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of household appliances. One of the company's products is aluminum footwear. The problem that often arises in this product is the high defect that occurs in the aluminum footwear product which reaches 5% -6% of total production. The types of defects are hollow, torn, bump, melt, hollow, and melt and hollow. Given these problems, a study was conducted to reduce the percentage of defects in products with the Six Sigma method. Based on the analysis of the DPMO calculation and the company sigma value, the average DPMO value is 8705,201 and the sigma value of 3,8773 shows that the aluminum footwear products are included in the standard quality of the average industry in Indonesia. From these results an analysis of the root causes of disability is carried out using a fishbone diagram that has 5 factors that cause disability, namely humans, methods, materials, machinery, and the environment. After the cause of the disability is known, priority plans for improvement are made. From the results of this FMEA method the priority of the proposed improvement is to provide supervision to the operator, provide training to the operator, increase supervision of production results, Prevent maintenance of the machine, Control the machine correctly.                                                                                                   Keywords: Defect, DPMO, Six Sigma Quality Control, FMEA

Nowadays, the development of industry is increasing very rapidly. It can be known as the high competition between companies. Not only large and international scaled companies, small and medium-sized companies are also face the same challenges in the global competition. Therefore, the companies need to conduct a quality control to maintain the quality of products produced and to achiece the conformance to specifications of product that has standardized by the company policies in order to improve the customer satisfaction. PT Amanah Insanillahia is a company involved in the bottled water industry. Based on the preliminary study, it shown the quality control only conducted to check the number of defective products produced without further evaluation and analysis. Therefore, there is a need to analyze the data of defective products produced and evaluate the results. The purpose of this study is to analyze the nonconformity product of the bottled water 600 ml brand PRIM-A. The p-chart is used in this research to analyze the number of defective products. Then, the fishbone diagram is used to analyze the causes of defective products. The results show that there is no data out of the control limits and mostly the data near in the central line of the p-chart. Using the fishbone diagram, it concluded that factors of man, machines, materials, methods, and environment are the causes of nonconformity products of the bottled water 600 ml brand PRIM-A. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa pengendalian kualitas hanya dilakukan dalam batas pengecekan jumlah produk cacat yang dihasilkan tanpa dievaluasi maupun dianalisis lebih lanjut. Oleh karena itu perlu untuk menganalisis data produk cacat yang dihasilkan dan mengevaluasi hasilnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis ketidaksesuaian produk air minum kemasan botol 600 ml merek PRIM-A. Peta p digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menganalisis jumlah produk yang cacat. Kemudian diagram fishbone digunakan untuk menganalisis penyebab ketidaksesuaian produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat data yang keluar batas kontrol dan sebagian besar produk berada didekat garis tengah dari Peta kendali p. Dari diagram fishbone didapatkan bahwa faktor manusia, mesin, bahan baku, metode, dan lingkungan merupakan penyebab ketidaksesuaian produk air minum kemasan botol 600 ml merek PRIM-A. Shoe industry development in the era of globalization is currently overgrowing. Therefore, every company should be able to compete strictly with other companies that produce the same products. Quality maintenance is having to be done by the company to survive in business competition. PT. ABC is a manufacturer of sports shoes. The company has a problem with bonding shoes not achieved company standard in the year 2017. This paper is focused on the improvement of bonding shoe quality by using a method of Quality Control Circle which applying quality control tools are like check sheet, Pareto diagram, fishbone diagram, and 5W + 1 H. Based on the research results obtained percentage improvements of quality bonding test of 21.15%. Cement stripping on the midsole is the most significant number of the bonding test failure in Laboratory that is as much as 26.33% or 218 prs from the total collapse of the overall bonding shoes. Based on the background, the purpose of this research is to find out the root causes of the failure of bonding test shoes. The limitations of this research are only improving processes in the department, which makes the bonding shoe quality does not achieve the company standard. After doing the analysis using the quality control tools and making the improvement process in the whole areas that the percentage of the bonding test cement stripping on midsole could be increased to 5.18%. Analysis of the results obtained by applying the method of Quality Control Circle is the improvement of the quality of the bonding shoe. So, the trust customers against the company may be obtained that would eventually increase the number of orders to the company.
