For magnesium alloy wheels have the advantages of light weight, remarkable energy saving effect, this article establishes a new technology of magnesium alloy wheels forging, and forging process is simulated through the use of FEM software. Investigate the effect of several key factors on the forming force. The results show that forming force increases with the die and material temperature reduces. and with the increase of Friction Coefficient, FEM analysis results provide guidance for the actual production.The energy consumption test shows that compared with aluminum alloy energy saving rate of road and laboratory bench test of magnesium alloy wheels respectively is 11 percent and 15.4 percent. Energy saving effect is remarkable.

In recent years, with the rapid increase of tunnel percentage in Midwestern highway construction, the tunnel operation cost rise quickly. In the cost, energy consumption of tunnel ventilation and illumination occupies a great proportion. In order to realize energy-saving and emission-reduction, there have been some new ventilation technology, for instance, the improved ventilation device, the improved ventilation method, and some new ventilation control technology. However after some new technology was applied, the phenomenon of energy-saving but not money-saving appeared. For the scientific and objective evaluation of highway tunnel ventilation technology energy-saving effect, construct evaluation index system from the three dimensions of technology usability, economy, and application effect, and then evaluate the energy-saving effect based on matter-element model. The result of assessment will give decision support for the later selection of highway tunnel ventilation technology proposal.

Government attaches great importance to energy saving issue has caused. Library as densely populated public places, its energy consumption is 5 to 15 times the average residential. Many factors involved in libraries energy saving, such as air-conditioning systems, lighting systems and other electrical systems. The library has great potential for energy saving. This paper studies how to apply the smart lights technology in the library energy-saving. Based on the analysis of existing library monitoring system, we propose a possible smart lights method which will be used in the library energy-saving. Effective methods and strategies of smart light energy-saving were researched. Smart LED lights and wisdom lamp holders, hardware and software are designed and implemented which was used in the library energy-saving. The smart LED lights were used in library study room lighting reconstruction. Practice shows that the energy-saving of new lighting system effective. Theoretically for the new technology could bring more than 30% of the energy-saving effect.

This article examines how technology transfer has operated in university-company projects undertaken in small to medium sized enterprises via the UK Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme. It adopts a qualitative case study approach, focusing on three companies drawn from an initial review of fourteen technology transfer projects. This provides the foundation for the development of a model of 12 key factors that underpinned successful outcomes in these projects. The fourteen projects are reviewed in terms of their impact on either process change, service improvement or product development, drawing upon the post-project assessments of the funding body and the developed model. Findings suggest that using new technology to innovate internal processes and services is likely to prove more successful than projects focusing on new product development. The model provides an analytical framework that will be of interest and value to academics and business practitioners looking to develop university-industry partnerships involving technology change and innovation.

A new technology, duplex ion nitrocarburizing and sulphurizing technology (DINS), for friction reduction and anti-scuffing applications of diesel engine cylinder was studied. Duplex ion nitrocarburized-sulphurized layer was prepared on the surface of CrMoCu alloy cast iron by using the DINS process. The morphology, phase structure and tribological behaviors under sulphur contained additive lubrication were investigated. Results show that the sulphide surface layer of the duplex layer is mainly composed of close-packed hexagonal structured FeS phase and cubic structured FeS2 phase. The nitrocarburized sub-surface layer of the duplex layer is mainly composed of Fe2C and Fe3N phases. The harder nitrocarburized layer can provide effective support to the softer sulphide layer and avoid its lamellar tear. The synergistic effect between the duplex layer and the sulphur contained additive lubricant, resulted in 10% and 33.3% reduction in coefficient of friction and wear volume, respectively, compared with those of the sulphurized surface, and 25% and 50.1% reduction, respectively, compared with those of the plain surface. Bench test of diesel engine further demonstrated that the DINS process can provide the treated cylinder with superior properties in anti-scuffing and friction reduction, so that it can be used to prolong the service life of the cylinder.

Spin-forming of part with internal tooth is a new technology of the near-net forming in gear manufacturing field. And the main purpose of the parts spin-forming is to shape teeth on the internal surface of blank. In order to improve the forming quality of internal tooth, the effect of roller on tooth height of spline was investigated by processing experiments and finite element simulation. The result indicates that, for full-radius roller, a large nose radius has also witnessed a discernible growth in spinning force and tooth height; considering the uniformity of tooth height distribution of spun part and decrease in forming force, the bio-conical roller is more suitable for this forming process

In this article, we mixed hollow glass beads with nano-TiO2 and iron oxide red in a certain proportion to prepare a low-brightness, high-reflective, safe, and durable cooling coating throughout the experiments. The coating is suitable for energy-saving in tropical areas. To discuss the energy saving effects of the coating on an exterior envelope in tropical areas, a comparative analysis for two scenario models of a two-story residential building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was conducted. The results indicated that the heat reflective insulation coating could reduce the exterior envelope surface temperature effectively, and the maximum temperature change was about 6–8 °C. Through calculations, it was found that the annual energy saving rate was 12.9%, which showed that the energy saving effect of the heat insulation coating was obvious in Kuala Lumpur. The brightness of the coating was less than 50%, and its comfort and safety met the requirements.

Abstract This paper analyzes the energy saving effect and optimal operation of the integrated park type energy system. The park type integrated energy system includes photovoltaic power generation system, ground source heat pump system, solar air conditioning system, regenerative electric boiler system and solar hot water system and so on. The energy saving benefit calculation model of each subsystem is established, and according to the operation history data of each subsystem, the calculation results of each subsystem are analyzed. It shows that: The energy saving income of photovoltaic power generation system is 734,200 yuan/year. The main revenue comes from the second and third quarters, during which it should pay attention to the maintenance of photovoltaic modules to ensure the maximum energy saving benefit. The energy saving income of ground source heat pump system in summer is 155,900 yuan/year, and the energy saving effect is not significant. It can cooperate with traditional units for cooling in summer. The heating in winter in the park is provided by ground source heat pump system, regenerative electric boiler system and solar energy air conditioning system. Its energy saving benefit is 3.995 million yuan/year which is the main source of energy saving income in the park, with remarkable energy saving effect.
