Composed wall with site laying reinforcing rib is composed of reinforced concrete rib, girtstrip and filling brickwork. This kind of wall is energy-saving, environmental-friendly and of good earthquake resistant performance. It is suitable to village building structure. In this paper, the load carrying capability and failure mode of this kind of composed wall under the effect of vertical load, the maximum bearing capacity of the wall and its influencing factors are mainly introduced.

Through the experiments of four concrete composite slabs under static loading to compare their flexural properties (deflection, bearing capacity, failure mode), this paper discusses the influence of composite slabs flexural behavior on different length of additional bars and sectional effective height. The results showed that they will improve the bearing capacity effectively by reasonably increasing the sectional effective height and controlling the length of additional bars.

In order to validate the seismic performance of reinforced concrete grid-mesh frame wall , four grid frame walls in half size is made with different height-width ratios and different grid forms in the paper. Two of them are filling with cast-in-place plaster as filling material. According to the experimental results of these four walls subjected to horizontal reciprocating loads, we know that the grid-mesh frame wall's breaking form are in stages and multiple modes, and the main influencing factors are height-width ratio and grid form, what's more, with cast-in-place plaster as fill material, could not only improve the level of the wall bearing capacity and stiffness, but also improve the ductility and seismic energy dissipation capacity.

Through repair and reinforcement of breaking reinforced concrete beams by epoxy resin and carbon cloth, and its experiment, the crack and deformation and bearing capacity as well as ductility of such beams are obtained. Experimental results show that the ultimate bearing capacity of beams after reinforcement increased by 210%, the structure ductility fell by 170%, structural failure form is similar to failure in normal cross section.

Site-built reinforcing rib composite wall is a kind of composite wall composed of reinforced concrete rib columns, rib beams and filling masonry. This paper mainly introduces the failure process and failure mechanism of this kind of composite wall under low cyclic loading. The wall has a good seismic performance and can be suitable for rural building structure.

The Russian standards for earthquake resistant constructions suppose the development of plastic strains in reinforced concrete constructions under seismic effects. Their presence influences significantly on the stress-strain state, bearing capacity and mechanism of destruction of reinforced concrete constructions under alternation loads of high intensity. The methodology and main results of experimental tests connected with the evaluation of plastic deformations influence on the behavior of reinforced concrete bending elements when changing the force sign is represented. The information about the bearing capacity reduction when changing the force sign with the increase of plastic strains in the first semi cycle of loading is given. The coefficients of plasticity for reinforcement deformations limit values are obtained, corresponding to the beginning of compressed zone concrete destruction when changing the force sign and the plots of normal sections deformations distribution of experimental specimens under direct and reverse loading have been built.

The paper researched on the strain, the deformation and the failure mode of hollow latticed steel columns through two experimental conditions. They were respectively about the vertical load and the horizontal load. The results showed that for the hollow latticed steel columns with upper columns, because of the stiffness of upper columns was obviously higher than the lower ones’, the upper columns were destroyed earliest under the vertical load. In addition, the columns had good horizontal bearing and deformation capacity, and the gravity second-order effects were not obvious for the columns.

Three reinforcement materials with steel plate, epoxies resin sheet, and glass fiber sheet adhering to failed reinforced concrete beams (RC beams) were used to improve the bearing capacity of Reinforced Concrete beams in the paper. The test results shows all the three materials were proved satisfied with bearing capacity increasing request. Strengthening effects with steel plate and epoxies resin sheet were more obvious.

“strong beam and weak column”is the main failure states of reinforced concrete frame structure in the earthquake.This paper is the experimental study of the influence on the virtual cross-section bearing capacity on extremity of frame beam in reinforced concrete,which is affected by some element,such as slab reinforcement,the rigidity of orthogonal beam and so on.Exploring the mechanism of slab and frame work together to determine the width of effective flange,which provides references for structural design and engineering application.
