Modularized prefabricated steel structures have become the preferred design in the industrialization of steel structures due to their advantages of fast construction speed, high degree of industrialization, low labour intensity, and more. Prefabricated steel structures have some engineering applications, but all are low-rise structures with few applications in the field of high-rise buildings. Using finite element analysis with line and solid elements, full-scale experiments were conducted to study the single-span frame, which is the core load-bearing part of a modularized prefabricated high-rise steel frame structure with inclined braces. The mechanical mechanisms, computation methods, and design formulas of truss girders were obtained by comparing the finite element and model experiments and building a theoretical and experimental basis for the compilation of design codes. The mechanical characteristics under design load, the deformation and stress state, the elastic-plastic law of development, and the yield failure mode and mechanism under horizontal ultimate load were also obtained. Based on theoretical analysis, finite element analysis, and experiments, the design method of this frame was summarized and incorporated into the design code.

With the continuous development of urban construction projects in HebeiProvince, the rise and development of high-rise buildings and undergroundengineering, the design and research of foundation pit support structure has become more and more important. The design of the foundation pit support structure directly affects the settlement and position changes of the building itself and the surrounding stratum. In this paper, the characteristics of foundation pit support are analyzed, and the related theories of finite element analysis method are introduced. Combined with the actual situation of Hebei Province, the finite element analysis method is used to simulate the construction method of foundation pile anchor support structure system. The design was analyzed and studied.

Wave spring is a key component of multi-disc wet clutch and the response speed and running quality of multi-disc wet clutch is affected by its characteristics. This paper analyses the theoretical calculation of load-deformation relationship of wave spring. The load-deformation relationship of wave spring is obtained by ANSYS10.0 software according to its structural characteristics and actual boundary condition and compared with the calculated results based on different methods and the measured value, and then study the effect of the wave number on the load-deformation relationship of wave spring. The results show that the calculated value of finite element analysis (FEM) is closer to the measured value and the FEM has more advantages on simulation of the working performance of wave spring.

The present paper introduces some improvements in the finite element analysis of soil–steel structures. It applies two-noded spring-type interface elements and accounts for the compaction effects during construction simulation. The analyses are performed in increments using a hyperbolic stress–strain relationship for the nonlinear behaviour of the soil and take into account the shear or tension failure in the soil elements. Also, a combination of constant and compatible linear strain elements for soil is used to increase the accuracy of the analysis around the conduit while keeping the storage requirement and computation time for the numerical solution manageable. The analytical results show satisfactory agreement with those obtained experimentally. They also show that the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) provisions overestimate the thrust due to live load and underestimate the thrust due to dead load. A better comparison is found with the Ontario Highway Bridge Design Code (OHBDC).

Strain clamp is an important connection device in guy tower. If the quality of the compression splicing position is unsatisfied, strain clamp tends to be damaged which may lead to the final collapse of a guy tower as well as huge economic lost. In this paper, stress distribution on the compressible tube and guy cable is analyzed by FEM, and a large equivalent stress of guy cable is applied to the compression splicing position. During this process, a finite element model of strain clamp is established for guy cables at compression splicing position, problems of elastic-plastic and contracting are studied and the whole compressing process of compressible position is simulated. The guy cable cracks easily at the position of compressible tube’s port, the inner part of the compressible tube has a larger equivalent stress than outside.

It is very important for connection of between beam and column, connection safety and reliability is premise to guarantee the normal work of the whole structure. Node often bears complex stress which includes compression, bending and shear, so the study of the mechanical properties and ascertained behavior of mechanical, failure mechanism of between beam and column is very important. This paper use finite element analysis software to analyze the node of between SRC column and RC beam which exist in high-rise buildings but relatively few researches at present. Analyzed cracking load-displacement relation and studied on relation of concrete shear strain-section steel wing shear strain and crack load of joint core with different axial compression ratio, According to data of finite element analysis, this paper bring forward formula of crack resistance capacity of SRC column-RC beam joint core, At last compare theory value calculated with formula with test data, there being less error, it indicate the formula is reliable.
