The Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) is becoming one of the most important equipment of the modern ship, especially for the combat vessel. In the one hand, Many types of data of the combat vessel can be recorded in time and be saved for a long time, which could be benefit for replaying some status or scenes of the vessel on some occasion. On the other hand, For the reason of the complex sources and instability of the data in VDR, It is difficult to separate the VDR voice signal completely, then it is inconvenient for the data retrieval. In this paper, a new method named Local-wave method has been used to resolve the problem in theory, which usually focus on the local feature of the signal. According to the simulation, this method separated the VDR voice signal more effective, and it will be useful to the data retrieve of VDR voice signal.

Abstract The art of bodypainting that is fairly unknown to a wider public turns the body into a canvas - it is a frequently used phrase in the field of bodypainting that illustrates the challenge it faces: it uses a three-dimensional surface and has to cope with its irregularities, but also with the model’s abilities and characteristics. This paper looks at individuals who are turned into art by bodypainting. Although body painting can be very challenging for them - they have to expose their bodies and to stand still for a long time while getting transformed - models report that they enjoy both the process and the result, even if they are not confident about their own bodies. Among the reasons there are physical aspects like the sensual enjoyment, but also the feeling of being part of something artistic. This is enhanced and preserved through double staging - becoming a threedimentional work of art and then being staged for photography or film clips. This process gives the model the chance to experience their own body in a detached way. On the one hand, bodypainting closely relates to the body and on the other hand, it can help to over-come the body.

AbstractAl-dād is a unique sound in Arabic. It is believed that this sound is what makes Arabic a distinguished language. However, its description has confused the linguists for long time. Some modern linguists believe that al-dād described by the ancient linguists is not used in the present time. On the other hand, Arabic speakers may not know that the sound they use for the classical pronunciation of al-dād is not the one described by the ancient Arab linguists. This study records the existence of a sound that has the features of al-dād as described by the ancient Arab linguists. It is used among some speakers in Southwest Saudi Arabia.

We investigate the transfer of bipartite (measured by cocurrence) and multipartite (measured by global discord) quantum correlations though spin chains under phase decoherence. The influence of phase decoherence and anisotropy parameter upon quantum correlations transfer is investigated. On the one hand, in the case of no phase decoherence, there is no steady state quantum correlations between spins. On the other hand, if the phase decoherence is larger than zero, the bipartite quantum correlations can be transferred through a Heisenberg XXX chain for a long time and there is steady state bipartite entanglement. For a Heisenberg XX chain, bipartite entanglement between two spins is destroyed completely after a long time. Multipartite quantum correlations of all spins are more robust than bipartite quantum correlations. Thus, one can store multipartite quantum correlations in spin chains for a long time under phase decoherence.

Abstract For quite a long time it has been part of the opinio communis within Hebrew Bible scholarship that compassion and empathy with persona miserae is in its very meaning invented by Ancient Israel. This view has been challenged by a comparative study of Frank C. Fensham. The present article shows on the one hand that care for the poor, widows and orphans is in fact not innovative. On the other hand, a closer analysis is able to show that the biblical and Jewish care for the strangers, slaves and animals is indeed unique.

This article, as a main contribution, shows a new agile way to manage and monitor R&I projects, by monitoring product development. In addition, a new way of calculating the rigor of this type of projects is presented using the “3D rigor method”, based on obtaining the rigor measures of the product, process and reputation of the project researchers. Thanks to this new method, it is possible to know the rigor of an R&I project at any time during its development, which enables its monitoring and management to adapt it to the interests and needs of each situation. On the one hand, this method is presented as a tool of great utility for new researchers, since it will allow them to guide the development of their R&I project in an agile way, adjusted to the speed of the current times, while maintaining minimum levels of rigor and scientific quality. On the other hand, the method is highly recommended for all those organizations that promote and support the development of new R&I projects, enabling them to mentor and guide the projects towards the achievement of specific objectives and viable projects.

AbstractThere are a lot of papers dealing with applications of the so-called cyclic refinement of the discrete Jensen’s inequality. A significant generalization of the cyclic refinement, based on combinatorial considerations, has recently been discovered by the author. In the present paper we give the integral versions of these results. On the one hand, a new method to refine the integral Jensen’s inequality is developed. On the other hand, the result contains some recent refinements of the integral Jensen’s inequality as elementary cases. Finally some applications to the Fejér inequality (especially the Hermite–Hadamard inequality), quasi-arithmetic means, and f-divergences are presented.

This paper is written in INTERLINGUA2, a form of modern Latin without declensions whose use in science was initiated by G. Peano, preceded by Descartes and Leibniz. I am following here the IALA conventions for INTERLINGUA of 1952. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first text in logic or philosophy ever written in INTERLINGUA. The paper offers an introduction to some philosophical and logical questions concerned with the problem of the contradictory in logic, traditionally seen as some form of irrationality, as well as a comparison between some distinct positions, their logical approaches and reciprocal criticisms. A brief account of the history of the subject is also sketched. In particular, some recent results about the logics of formal inconsistency (LFIs), the society semantics and its general form, the possible-translations semantics, are emphasized here not only as a new method for combining logics, but also as an impeccable foundation to what is taken to be as the irrational. These syntactical and semantical tools have the double intention of, on the one hand, to systematize and to precisely define an ample class of logic systems, and on the other hand to offer alternative semantic interpretations to certain less studied non-classical logics, while making possible to combine simple logics so as to obtain other logics with a richer structure. We try to assess here the interest, the degree of success and the capability the LFIs and of the possible-translations semantics (as well as its associate, the society semantics) as conceptual contrivances to overcome the irrational.

Rubber is a cultivated plant and became the lifeline of many peoples since a long time ago, without exception farmers in Tabir Ilir which became one of the rubber centers in Jambi Province with 15.787 hektares and 8.050 family. To get the result, rubber farmers in Tabir Ilir applies the rubber management mechanism independently and handed it over to others. The application of these two mechanisms is done by the rubber farmers based on their rational choice perspective. Rubber farmers with enough resources will choose how to manage independently, whereas for those who do not have sufficient resources, will choose to hand over their rubber management to others. The management mechanism chosen by these rubber farmers has an impact on the income inequality they earns. On the one hand, there are those who earns more than the management of rubber they do, while on the other hand there are those who get little results.

The process of intensive ageing of the population of Vojvodina, present for a long time, and specially the problems and changes in contemporary family in Vojvodina, require and need a well designed comprehensive program - based on the needs of the old persons - to solve the basic social-protection problems of the population of old persons, specially the struggle for a quality life at old age. On the one hand, such an attitude implies equal significance of prevention - so that old persons do not find themselves in a situation needing social support - as well as protection when they do get in such a situation; on the other hand, it implies ensuring a full confirmation of the concept of the active old age. At the same time, such an approach requires the development of all forms of social protection and an active participation and cooperation of all subjects in the society.

For a long time, historical educational research has seen a decline in its representation in university teaching and academic posts. Concurrently, its thematic and methodological variation has expanded impressively in the last two decades. This volume, dedicated to Edith Glaser, aims to enrich the legitimacy discourse on the importance and necessity of educational historical expertise from two perspectives. On the one hand, it presents exemplary fields of research in the history of education, on the other hand, contributions show the relevance of historical educational research for other (sub-)disciplines.
