The experimental studies on self-compacting and tiny expanding concrete filled in steel tube are introduced, which including the measurement of low ability of mixtures, the proportioning of the concrete filled in steel tube. The self-compacting and tiny expanding steel tube concrete has been applied in a large span bridge structure. The state of construction shows that the concrete have a good pump ability, a small loss of slump, a high strength early strength and a better self-compacting property.

Purpose This study aims to introduce the concept of dissociative threat, which is the fear of being associated with an undesirable (dissociative) group as a result of demonstrating ability in a domain that is stereotypically linked to that group. Consumers experiencing dissociative threats use inability signaling as a self-presentational strategy in which they present themselves as lacking ability in the dissociative domain. Design/methodology/approach Five experimental studies were conducted to test whether consumers experience threat in dissociative domains and to examine factors that influence this threat. Findings Results showed that dissociative threat adversely affects consumers’ performance at tasks that require using products linked to dissociative groups. Threatened participants reported intentions to perform poorly and train for a longer time in preparation for such tasks, thus signaling low ability in dissociative domains. Additionally, when participants who were experiencing dissociative threats received confirmation that they lacked ability in that domain, their performance at these tasks improved. Research limitations/implications This study expands the knowledge on strategies, including inability signaling, that consumers use to avoid being linked to dissociative groups. Practical implications The findings suggest to marketers that stereotypes that link their products to certain consumer segments can threaten other consumers. Factors that shape and alleviate this threat are identified, which may help companies who are marketing such products. Originality/value This study extends the current understanding of stereotype threat and proposes a new self-presentational strategy, that has not been documented yet in the literature (i.e. inability signaling), that consumers use to deal with the dissociative threat.

This article discusses the pros and cons of applying professional income tax. Professional income tax is not mandatory, but an alternative way to pay 2 taxes on self-employment or part-time work. The introduction of this tax can mediate an increase in revenues to the state budget, which is of particular importance for the country in post-crisis conditions.

The influence of the burnishing force, tool radius, processing speed and feed on the distribution of circumferential and axial residual strses, microhardness and the depth of strain hardening in the surface layer when pr ssing of "30ХГСН2А-ВД" steel with synthetic diamond "ACB-1" is considered. Empirical dependencies determining these parameters are given. Keywords diamond burnishing, strain hardening depth, circumferential residual stresses, axial residual stresses, microhardness. This chapter provides an informal rationalist model of state formation as an exchange between a central authority and a population. In the model, the central authority protects the population against external threats and the population disarms and pays taxes. The model specifies the conditions under which the exchange is self-enforcing, meaning that the parties prefer the exchange to alternative courses of action. These conditions—costly but winnable interstate war—are historically rare, and the cost of such wars can rise beyond the population’s willingness to sacrifice. At this point, the population prefers to avoid war rather than fight it and may prefer an alternative institution to the state if that institution can prevent war and reduce the level of extraction. Thus the modern centralized state is self-undermining rather than self-enforcing. A final section addresses alternative explanations for state formation.

In order to improve the erosion effect of jet under submergence condition, experimental studies of erosion generated from the self-excited pulsed jet was carried out by using developed self-excited oscillation nozzle. The erosion volume and depth of pulsed jet were measured and taking mortar block as an erosion part. The results were that the standoff has significant influence on erosion effect. The erosion volume firstly decreases with increases in cavity length and then increases to a peak value. Erosion volume of pulsed jet is significantly higher than that of continuous jet, the erosion depth of two jet has slight difference.
