Research of Paddle Wave-Maker Control System Based on Jonswap Spectrum

According to large energy consumption, overload and re-reflection problemr, the control algorithm of wave-maker has been improved based on Jonswap spectrum. The control algorithm is comprised of the offline calculation of the control waveform and the real-time governing of the wave paddle. Offline algorithm is implemented on a personal computer, whereas paddle control is realized on a programmable automation controller. The experiments results show that the speed is continuous and stable, change rate of load has been optimized obviously and achieves the purpose of energy saving.

In this paper, the real-time EtherCAT technology is introduced in detail, which including operating principle, communication protocol and the superiority performance of EtherCAT i.e. synchronicity, simultaneousness and high speed. To show how to design a slave system that considering the characteristics of application, the method of developing systems based no EtherCAT technology are proposed. Finally, a data acquisition system based on EtherCAT technology is designed. Application of EtherCAT technology can improve the real-time characteristics of data communication in wind power system.

CAN bus was used as the data transferring channels in the two–level controllers, and the real-time,dexterity,expansibility and security for the Gluing control system based on CAN bus can be improved obviously.The system structure, principle and software design were introduced.The experiment shows that it is a reliable control system and it can meet the requirements of automatic gluing tasks.

Introduction. The article deals with the conditions for growing greenhouse plants. Supplementary lighting supports the process of plant photosynthesis and the microclimate in the greenhouse. The authors suggest the ways to reduce energy consumption in greenhouses by controlling the microclimate and process of supplementary lighting in greenhouses. Materials and Methods. Special lighting and temperature are required for growing greenhouse plants. A method of efficient plant growing is light and temperature control. The development of a control algorithm requires the mathematical models that relate the process of photosynthesis to the microclimate parameters. There are given the mathematical models based on the experimental data. Results. The control system and algorithm to control plant-growing conditions have been developed to maintain the greenhouse microclimate. LED lamps are used to control the lighting process. The authors present the developed block diagram of the control system, which contains four channels responsible for the main energy-intensive microclimate factors. The description of the algorithm of the greenhouse light-temperature control is given. Discussion and Conclusion. In conclusion, the need to maintain the greenhouse microclimate and supplementary lighting with the different radiation spectrum for the efficient cultivation of greenhouse plants is shown. The developed structure and control algorithm for the supplementary plant lighting process and greenhouse illumination through using LED lamps help reduce energy consumption.

This article investigates an adaptive mount system based on magnetorheological elastomer in reducing the vibration of an equipment on the isolation table. Incorporating MR elastomers, whose elastic modulus or stiffness can be adjusted depending on the applied magnetic field, the proposed mount system strives to alleviate the limitations of existing passive-type mount systems. The primary goal of this study is to evaluate the vibration reduction performance of the proposed MR elastomer mount using the hybrid simulation technique. For real-time hybrid simulations, the MR elastomer mount and the control system are used as an experimental part, which is installed on the shaking table, and an equipment on the table is used as a numerical part. A suitable control algorithm is designed for the real-time hybrid simulations to avoid the responses of the equipment’s natural frequency by tracking the frequencies of the responses. After performing a series of real-time hybrid simulation on the adaptive mount system and the passive-type mount system under sinusoidal excitations, this study compares the effectiveness of the adaptive mount system over its passive counterpart. The results show that the proposed adaptive elastomer mount system outperforms the passive-type mount system in reducing the responses of the equipment for the excitations considered in this study.

Peak electricity demands from huge number of households in a mega-city would cause contention, leading to potential blackout. This paper proposes bi-directional collaboration via a Smart Energy Monitor System (SEMS) between consumers and energy suppliers, exchanging real-time energy usage data with smart meters over the Internet and mobile devices for well-informed decisions and even predictions. The authors further propose the use of an Alert Management System (AMS) to monitor and aggregate critical energy consumption events for this purpose.

In this paper, a smart LED lawn lamp control system is proposed. The system consisting of LED lawn lamps, PWM control circuits and ZigBee module is used to control the light dimming and energy management. Thus, the goals of environmental protection and energy-saving features can be achieved. In addition, the automatic warning mechanism in the street light is included in the system for the sake of traffic safety. The control center will receive the message immediately only if some sudden events. At this moment, the system will notice the maintenance man or related organization. However, the system has several advantages such as real-time monitoring, energy saving, easy maintenance and management, etc.
