In this paper, taking a practical project for the study, using the finite element analysis software ANSYS, static analyses under different load conditions are performed on a single beam string structure (BSS) and a one-way beam string structure with the cooperation of the supporting structure, respectively. Moreover, influence of factors on mechanical properties of the one-way BSS with the cooperation of the supporting structure is investigated. The factors include grouting, support form, corrosion. The results can provide a reference for design and construction of the same type of structure.

The finite element models of the planar K-joint are established based on the finite element analysis software ANSYS. The bracing members are under the action of axial force and moment. Different rotational deformation values of the joint with different geometric parameters are reached with calculation and analysis. Results show that the deformation value approximate linearly increased with the increasing load of the bracing member. It also shows that the influence of the bracing member diameter and wall thickness is larger on rotational deformation values and the rotational deformation of the part of the K-joint is greatly influenced by the deformation of joint region.

Based on the experimental study, this paper analyzes the stress given by series of Structured Infilling-walls reducing vibration multi-functionally in the help of the finite element analysis software, ANSYS. It is a comprehensive comparative analysis that different structures, thickness of walls, storeys, and spans are included. The conclusion is drawn that filling-wall can improve the mechanical properties of multi-functional vibration-reducing structure of infilling-wall, which provides theoretical evidence for infilling wall multi-functional vibration-reducing structure under different circumstances that the infill wall stand the proportion provides certain theoretical basis. The appropriate brittle anti-pressure pieces can be fixed according to the comparative finding which also contributes a lot to the achievement of the purpose of this project.

According to uncertainty of the design parameters for large span truss of installing wave-maker, in order to avoid the waste of materials, the truss is analyzed based on the finite element analysis software ANSYS to find out its weaknesses and various parts of the deformation. On the premise of ensuring the intensity and stiffness, the weight of the truss is reduced by adjusting its sizes and selecting different profiles, so as to achieve the optimization of the truss of installing wave-maker.

Based on the microstructure of the cross-section of the beetle's elytra, a kind of bio-inspiredlightweight structure was designed and made by the carbon fiber material. The compressive andshear mechanical properties of the lightweight structures were studied with finite element method. In addition, quasi-static compression experiments of the structure samples were carried out. Theexperimental results and the finite element analysis results were compared and analyzed, whichproved the effectiveness of the finite element analysis.

This paper presents the design, fabrication and characterization of single beam for latching electrothermal microswitch. This microswitch consists of two cantilever beams using bimorph electrothermal actuator with mechanical latching for performing low power bistable relay applications. A stable state can be acquired without continuous power which is only needed to switch between two stable states of the microactuator. The single beam is discussed mainly to judge the possibility of realizing the designed function. First, reasonable shape of the resistance is designed using finite element analysis software ANSYS. Then, mechanical performance was characterized by WYKO NT1100 optical profiling system, the tip deflection of single beam can meet the designed demand.

By setting contact sets, achieved overall analysis results of the mechanical properties with omni-direction side-loading forklift truck lifting system based on COSMOSWorks. And made an experimental measurements to omni-direction side-loading forklift truck lifting system by electrometric methods. There was a good relevance between experimental data and calculation values, and the deviation was basically within the 10 percent allowed. Finally, in this way it verified the correctness and reliability of the finite element analysis by experimental measurements. Ensured the omni-direction side-loading forklift truck lifting system could be safe and efficient to work. And also it laid a foundation for subsequent structural optimization.

In this paper, a new form-finding analysis methodology for a class 2 tensegrity robot is proposed. The methodology consists of two steps: first, the analysis of the possible geometric configurations of the robot is carried out through the results of the kinematic position analysis; and, second, from the static analysis, the equilibrium positions of the robot are found, which represents its workspace. Both kinematics and static analysis are resolved in a closed-form using basic tools of linear algebra instead of the strategies used in literature. Four numerical experiments are presented using the finite element analysis software ANSYS©. Additionally, a comparison between the results of the form-finding analysis methodology proposed and the ANSYS© results is presented.
