The aim of this research was to assess the quality of life in patients with stage III ovarian cancer during the treatment period, depending on the applied therapeutic approaches. A comparative analysis of the results of treatment of 350 patients with adenocarcinoma of the ovaries of III-IV stage, which have undergone suboptimal or non-optimal cytomelective surgery, was conducted. To assess the quality of life and to examine the relationship between changes in physical health and quality of life, patients in both groups were asked to complete the questionnaires EORTC QLQ-C30 and SF-36. According to the questionnaire of the EORTC QLQ-C30, the indicators of physical activity, the ability to do everyday affairs, were higher in the second group of patients who received differentiated treatment. The indicator of "social functioning" was also higher in the II group of patients. When evaluating the patients' liver on the scale of the questionnaire SF-36, it was found that the positive effect of differentiated therapy is maintained for 3 years. Life quality is an important criterion for evaluating the results of antitumor therapy, and when it is continuously monitored in patients with ovarian cancer the safety of treatment for patients could be improved, including at an advanced stage

The article addresses comparative qualitative content analysis as a part of the grounded theory research to explore the relationship between English language proficiency of economically active adults and their quality of life. Using comparative qualitative content analysis of the policy documents in respect of lifelong learning as main data collection method, the authors of the article aim to identify the relationship between the 21st century skills and indicators of life quality by comparing the sources that define the 21st century skills and analysing them in the context of the “8+1” dimensions of life quality offered by the European Union. The following research questions have been proposed: how 21st century skills are defined in the policy documents and how they relate to the quality of human life. The analysis of European Parliament, Council of the European Union, Word Economic Forum and Eurostat policies, models, strategies and their implementation in respect of lifelong learning reveals existing gaps and points at the urgent need in profiling the development of human skills to enhance human well-being and life quality in Europe. Besides, developing new skills and improving existing ones can be a tool for improving the quality of life in the future, whereas the dimensions of life quality can serve as a prerequisite for skills development.

<p><strong>BACKGROUND:</strong> Periodontal diseases, such as periodontitis, are considered the main cause of tooth loss in the elderly. The present study is aimed to determine the relationship between periodontal condition and quality of life. Quality of life consists of a range of people’s objective needs related to the self-perception of well-being.</p><p><strong>METHODS:</strong> This study was done from January 2014 to June 2015 in a healthcare clinic in Zahedan, southeast Iran. Using the random sampling method, the researchers enrolled 700 individuals over 35 years of age. The participants initially completed a demographic questionnaire consisting of data, such as age, sex, educational level, and smoking habit. Then, the periodontal chart was completed. Moreover, patients, based on the number of their natural teeth, were divided into two groups (≥10 teeth in both maxillary and mandible arches and &lt;10 teeth in at least one arch). The body mass index (BMI) was also measured. To assess the participants’ general health, the WHO’s quality of life questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF) was used.</p><p><strong>RESULTS: </strong>Of the 700 enrolled individuals, 53.3% were womenand 47.7% were men. Moreover, most of the participants (63.71%) had BMI of less than 25 and 68% did not smoke. We found that as the people’s periodontal status deteriorated, their quality of life also declined and the total mean score in all four health domains decreased (P&lt;0.001)<strong>.</strong>Moreover, people with more than 10 teeth in both arches scored higher with respect to life quality than those with less than 10 teeth in at least one arch (P&lt;0.001).</p><p><strong>CONCLUSION: </strong>This studyindicates a decrease in the general quality of life in patients with periodontal disease. The authors suggest performing studies with larger sample sizes andcohort studies for more reliable results.</p>

Type of the study is quantitative by using Cross-Sectional Study approach. There are 71 elderly as sample. Data analysis are Univariate, Bivariate and Multivariate. The results showed that there was a relationship between adaptation (p-value=0,001), partnership (p-value= 0,000), affection (p value=0,040), resolve (p value=0,001) and the quality of life of the elderly. Meanwhile, the growth variable (p value=0,052) has nothing to do with the quality of life of the elderly. The partnership variable has a significant relationship with the quality of life of the elderly (ρ-value<0,05) with a sig. of 0,000 on the quality of life of the elderly. Asthma is a heterogeneous disease and chronic inflammation of the respiratory tract that has an impact on the decreased quality of life. The design of this research is non-experimental cross-sectional. The variables of this study are illness perception, control of asthma, lung function values, and life quality of asthma patients. The relationship of asthma control, illness perception, lung function value, and life quality of asthma patients can be seen with structural equation modeling using Smart-PLS software. The results are only control of asthma affects life quality, where the coefficient value is 0.511, which is positive and significant (p = 0,000). Lung function value and asthma quality indicate that lung function has a positive relationship direction seen from the coefficient value of 0.306 but not significant (p = 0.061). The correlation between illness perception and life quality of asthma was negative, where the coefficient value was - 0.142 and not significantly different (p = 0.332). This means that the direction of the relationship is reversed; it means the quality of life of asthmatic patients, which affects illness perception by 14.2%. The conclusion is that the life quality of asthmatic patients is influenced by the control of asthma and lung function. But it’s different from illness perception, where there is a negative relationship between illness perception and life quality of asthma patients. Which means illness perception affects the life quality of asthma patients.

In this study, the relationship between the quality of life levels of children aged 9-11 and their perception of family functions and some demographic characteristics was investigated. The sample of the study included six primary schools and six secondary schools in the central districts of a metropolitan city located in the west of Turkey in the 2017-2018 academic year. Participants were 783 children, 396 girls and 387 boys. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data collected by using the General Quality of Life Scale for Children and Family Relationship Scale for Children. The results of the analysis showed that supportive and discouraging family relationships scores significantly predicted the quality of life of the children and explained 35.80% of change in their quality of life. In addition, the predictive power of supporting family relationships (28.70%) was significantly higher than that of the discouraging family relationships (-7.10%) in explaining children’s quality of life. Gender, age and number of siblings were not significantly correlated with life quality of children.
