The resignation of an Indian Administrative Services Officer named Rani Nagar and its non-acceptance by the state government of Haryana had revived the debate around sexual harassment in India. The reason given by the officer was sexual harassment by a senior and non-action of authorities leading to her feeling threatened for her safety. It highlights the fact that position of women in India is not corresponding to their professional achievements. The mindset of society remains attached to the notion of inferior status of women in general, regardless of their professional status. This paper seeks to delve more into the issue of sexual harassment per se and find the actual root cause that serves as a driving force behind such acts of perpetrator. It is done by using cases, theories and examples of contemporary times.

The novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has resulted in an overall increase in new cases of depression and burnout and exacerbation of existing mental health problems, with particular emotional and physical harm to healthcare workers. For this reason, the aim of this study is to assess occupational exhaustion and to determine its risk factors within this population during the period of COVID- 19. This is about a cross-sectional study that was conducted from March to June 2020. The target population was health professionals working in the various departments of COVID-19, in public hospitals in Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region of Morocco. To evaluate the burnout, we chose the French version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). The average age of the participants was 42.8±7.4. The gender ratio was balanced at 1.1. Regarding professional status, 61% of the participants are nurses and 39% are doctors. The average professional seniority was 20±8.9 years. As shown in the figure below, the MBI revealed that: 80% (n=72) suffered from burnout, of which 49% (n=44) had a low level, 17% (n=15) had a moderate level and 14% (n=13) had a severe burnout. Unmarried status (Odds Ratio= 9.61; 95% IC= [0.19-2.13]; P-value=0.001); The protective measures unavailable to health professionals (Odds Ratio= 7.13; 95%IC=[2.32-21.89];P-value=0.001); dissatisfaction with the efforts made by the Ministry of Health to fight Covid-19 (Odds Ratio= 9.1; IC95%=[2.82-29.37]; P-value=0.001) are the most important risk factors. In light of these results, interventions to support the mental well-being of health care professionals during and after the COVID-19 period should be implemented immediate.

Relevance is the basic value of any training project, in the cutting-cross of knowledge, attitudes, and competencies to be transmitted through the pedagogical process. Trends in science and the new directions of global health research requires personnel with vision, maturity, and skills for strategic planning. We are looking at a deepening gap between the professional status quo and the aspirations of society. This chapter aims to reflect on the role of the university focusing on the pillars that support it, in the context of training health professionals, and the central role of communication in the exercise of the profession and in health promotion. The approach is based on a theoretical review and the case study of Cabo Verde, as a SIDS. The role played by these professionals would have a direct impact on the definition of public health policies. These would be based on knowledge; the interface of innovation in health, management, and social organization; and on dialogue to improve systems from the perspectives of One Health and Global Health.

Introduction. The relevance of the research consists in expanding theoretical developments in the field of economic sociology, particularly, in prognosticating changes in the social and legal aspects of the professional status of trustees in bankruptcy in the context of the State Duma's consideration of the draft law No. 1172553-7 “On Amendments to the Federal Law ‘On Insolvency (Bankruptcy)’ and to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation”. Based on the results of the conducted research, the article identifies potential changes in the socio-professional status of a trustee in bankruptcy in the event the new law is adopted and enacted. Materials and Methods. The information base of the study included a secondary analysis of the array of statistical data on the results of insolvency proceedings in 2016-2020 in the Russian Federation (including the regional context), as well as a secondary analysis of the latest domestic legal framework governing the activities of the institution of bankruptcy. Results. The factors in the liquidation orientation of the institution of insolvency in the Russian Federation, as well as the trends in the increase in duration of insolvency proceedings with a minimum number of satisfied creditor claims have been identified; counterarguments have been presented regarding the alleged low efficiency of trustees in bankruptcy; arguments concerning the annual increase in the workload of trustees in bankruptcy have been statistically supported. A critical analysis of the draft law has been performed; the risks of decline in wages of trustees in bankruptcy in the event of adoption of the proposed changes in the structure of fixed and percentage-based remuneration have been identified. Legal gaps in the proposed point-rating system for the approval of trustees in bankruptcy have been identified. Discussion and Conclusion. The performed analysis made it possible to reveal the main trends in the results of insolvency proceedings, as well as to identify a number of critical shortcomings of the draft law No. 1172553-7 under consideration (change in the structure of remuneration for trustees in bankruptcy, as well as introduction of a rating system for evaluating their activities). The results of the study may be useful to scientists specializing in economics and law, as well as to experts in the field of insolvency.

The vocabulary and phraseology are considered from the standpoint of embodying the idea of identity in them. The relevance of the study is due to the need to assess the dynamics of the vocabulary of the language. It is shown that the idea of identity is verbalized in the nominations of a person according to belonging to a certain social community, which has professional status, generational, class and other characteristics. It is noticed that new phraseological units appear in the language in open groups. The novelty of the research lies in the identification of new phraseological groups, which can be partially or completely subject to lexicography. It is noted that online communication has greatly increased attention to the words group, community and the idea of a publicly represented identity. It is shown that the analytical attitude of modern media has led to an orientation towards reflection and the construction of expert assessments in the form of bright, memorable idioms, the creative class, sofa fighters, etc. The intensification of the processes of the language game is shown by the example of expressions with the word collars, releasing a color code (white, gold, platinum collars, etc.). The Internet is said to have provided opportunities to show multiplying identities. The “fourth wave of words” (after the gangster, professional, glamorous) is proposed to be considered the youth, which is formed in Internet communication and expresses the desire of this age category (youth) to know themselves, their values, belonging, purpose and place in the world.

The need for agricultural extension services in Nigeria to attain a higher ethical and professional status of registering and certifying its service providers like other disciplines for effective service delivery has led this study to examine the factors influencing extension professionalisation in Nigeria. 356 extension agents from both public and private extension organisations were selected through a two-stage sampling procedure. A structured questionnaire was used to elicit information on the knowledge, attitude and perceptions on the effects of the components of professionalisation (i.e. accreditation, registration, and certification) on service delivery. The Cronbach alpha reliability values for the constructs used in the different sections of the instrument were knowledge (0.78), attitude (0.94), accreditation (0.92), registration (0.89) and certification (0.96). Data was analysed using IBM AMOS version 24 to conduct a confirmatory factor analysis to determine the interrelationships that exist between the extension agent’s knowledge, attitude, and the components of professionalisation. The findings revealed a significant and strong positive correlation between the constructs of the extension agent’s knowledge, attitude and the professionalisation components of accreditation, registration, and certification. These findings have implications for educating and training extension agents on professionalisation and its components to ensure its institutionalisation in the agricultural extension sector for the provision of a more ethical, competent, accountable, and efficient rural and advisory service delivery.

The purpose of this article is to examine the applicability of the Beliefs about Pain Control Questionnaire (BPCQ) among cancer patients and develop norms that allow differentiation of patients with diagnosed cancer in terms of beliefs about pain control. Normalization aims to establish the value of test results in the study population. The study involved 1187 patients diagnosed with cancer in outpatient care Maria Sklodowska-Curie Cancer Center and Institute of Oncology, in Warsaw. The applied tool was the Beliefs about Pain Control Questionnaire developed by S. Skevington. The results are most strongly differentiated in each dimension of pain control by education, income, and professional status. Sten norms were developed to determine the level of beliefs about pain control in low, average, and high categories. The BPCQ assessment applies to cancer patients, and the assessment of the location of pain control in patients will allow for the identification of patients whose standard therapy should be supplemented with psychotherapeutic support.

Background: Burnout plays a key role in the life and physical and mental health of individuals and may reduce the efficiency and motivation of healthcare staff. Objectives: The present study aimed to evaluate the influential factors in burnout in the healthcare staff of Kermanshah, Iran. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on the healthcare staff in Kermanshah in 2019. Data were collected using a demographic questionnaire and the Maslach burnout inventory (Cronbach's alpha: 0.78). The participants were selected via census sampling (n = 282). Data analysis was performed in SPSS version 22 using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test, and Spearman’s correlation-coefficient. Results: Significant correlations were observed between emotional fatigue, disease history (P = 0.006), and financial problems (P = 0.05), as well as between depersonalization and financial difficulties (P = 0.024) and between personal adequacy and family disease history (P = 0.015). However, no significant associations between burnout and gender, educational level, professional status, marital status and living situation were shown. Conclusions: Considering the high prevalence of burnout in the healthcare staff with a disease history in themselves and their families and the association between burnout and financial problems, special attention should be paid to the health status of healthcare status through measures such as stress management and counseling to diminish occupational stress and the impact of burnout on these employees. In addition, measures such as the implementation of leisure and educational programs and stress management workshops are recommended.

Data on the services and staffing in tertiary learning centres are necessary for providing professional support for tertiary learning advisors (TLAs). Full scale surveys of Aotearoa New Zealand centres were conducted in 2008 and 2013. In 2019, a third survey was conducted to explore whether the identified trends were continuing and whether there were any changes. This survey was sent to managers and team leaders at 26 tertiary learning institutions in Aotearoa New Zealand. Four topics were investigated: 1) the professional status of TLAs; 2) learning centre organisation; 3) the services provided by TLAs; 4) trends and changes since 2013. In 2020, when the lockdown resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic meant all centres had to cease operating face-to-face services for an extended period, some follow-up questions about the impact of Covid-19 were sent to the respondents of the 2019 survey. This report presents the five main findings of the 2019/2020 surveys, and provides comparisons with the previous surveys. First, more TLAs had postgraduate qualifications, and more TLAs were given general/professional contracts than academic contracts. Second, fewer learning centres were part of libraries or teaching and learning development units. Third, centres provided a similar range of services, with an increase in pastoral and wellbeing support. Fourth, services were more embedded, and more were delivered in online/blended modes, particularly since Covid-19. Lastly, changes in learning centres’ structures and service delivery were due to institutional financial pressure and student needs. We make some recommendations, including changing some questions in future surveys, updating the ATLAANZ professional practice document regularly, and implementing a TLA accreditation scheme in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Abstract Objective In today's world with sweeping changes, nurses are responsible for providing high-quality and cost-benefit care, which would almost be impossible unless they achieve their high professional status. To date, no precise and comprehensive definition of professionalism in nursing has been evidently proposed. In fact, many of the previously proposed definitions are either complicated or ambiguous. Moreover, there is no consensus in the literature on an exhaustive definition for “a professional nurse.” The present study aimed to illustrate the concept of professionalism in nursing and identify its defining characteristics. Methods In this study, concept analysis was conducted using Whittemore et al.'s method for the integrated review. A comprehensive search of electronic, scientific databases including Eric, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO, PsychoINFO, Embass, MagIran, IranDoc, SID, and IRANMEDEX was carried out using the keywords such as professionalism, professional behavior, nursing professionalism (NP), professional attribute, and nursing. Results In the present study, a comprehensive search of 11 electronic databases retrieved 5738 articles. Then, 2837 duplicate articles were removed by endnote (version 8). Based on a preliminary examination of the titles and abstracts as well as the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 1517 articles were excluded. In addition, 137 articles were removed for scientific reasons. Finally, 52 articles in English and Persian were selected. Content analysis of the articles revealed four major themes, namely, individual prerequisite, professional prerequisite, appropriate structure, and socio-individual factors. Conclusions Professionalism in nursing is a major, multidimensional concept according to the literature that included individual prerequisites, professional prerequisites, appropriate structures, and socio-individual factors. In fact, professionalism in nursing comprises a wide range of personal characteristics, self-regulation, professional values, striving to acquire and enhance professional expertise, professional interactions, social, professional, and legal responsibility, and creation of a sense of belonging, and professional development.
