The research conducts the numerical analysis of the fatigue performance of precracked concrete beams strengthened with prestressed CFRP, establishing the static analysis model (SM) and fatigue analysis model (FM) respectively, examining the change of the static loading and fatigue performance before and after CFRP strengthens precracked concrete beams in the different prestressed situations, and analyzing the relevant fatigue performance parameters through comparing FEM analysis with experimental results. The research results demonstrate that the method of strengthening concrete beams with prestressed CFRP can improve the static loading and fatigue performance; the increased rate of fatigue performance of precracked concrete beams is parallel to the CFRP prestress; the fatigue life of precracked concrete beams increases with the raising of the CFRP prestress; FEM analysis is in close agreement with experiment results; the fatigue properties of precracked concrete beams strengthened with prestressed CFRP can be analyzed effectively by the finite element method.

Finite element analysis model of reinforced concrete beam with CFRP by ANSYS were built in this paper. Through finite element method analysis of comparing the concrete beam with and without CFRP , some conclusions are given in the paper; the Fatigue Mechanism was studied , and obtained the raise the level of fatigue life of reinforced concrete beam with CFRP .The result shows CFRP can increase greatly its fatigue life and improve effectually the ductility of the structure.

We propose a model to give us a method to investigate the characteristic three-dimensional directivity in an arbitrarily configured flexible electret-based loudspeaker. In recent years, novel electret loudspeakers have attracted much interest due to their being lightweight, paper thin, and possessing excellent mid- to high-frequency responses. Increasing or decreasing the directivity of an electret loudspeaker makes it excellent for adoption to many applications, especially for directing sound to a particular area or specific audio location. Herein, we detail a novel electret loudspeaker that possesses various directivities and is based on various structures of spacers instead of having to use multichannel amplifiers and a complicated digital control system. In order to study the directivity of an electret loudspeaker based on an array structure which can be adopted for various applications, the horizontal and vertical polar directivity characteristics as a function of frequency were simulated by a finite-element analysis model. To validate the finite-element analysis model, the beam pattern of the electret loudspeaker was measured in an anechoic room. Both the simulated and experimental results are detailed in this article to validate the various assertions related to the directivity of electret cell-based smart speakers.

A general method for integrating genetic algorithms within a commercially available finite element (FE) package to solve a range of structural inverse problems is presented. The described method exploits a user-programmable interface to control the genetic algorithm from within the FE package. This general approach is presented with specific reference to three illustrative system identification problems. In two of these the aim is to deduce the damaged state of composite structures from a known physical response to a given static loading. In the third the manufactured lay-up of a composite component is designed using the proposed methodology.

This paper studies the force and deformation of the connecting channel in Ningbo rail transit construction, which firstly used the mechanical shield method. Steel-concrete composite structural segments are used in the T-joint of connecting channel. The cutting part of the segments are replaced by the concrete and fiberglass instead of reinforced concrete. Basing on a variety of three-dimensional design software and ABAQUS finite element analysis software, a refined finite element analysis model of the special segments is established. By considering the influence of curved joint bolts, the force analysis of the special segments under the structural state before and after construction is performed. According to the analysis and comparison of the deformation of the segments with and without the bolts, it is concluded that the steel-concrete segments can withstand the pressure of the soil before and after the construction. Suggestions for the safety of the design and construction of the segments are put forward.

Based on the structure and working principle of our giant magnetostrictive actuator (GMA), the properties of the driving magnetic field were researched. A 3-D nonlinear magnetic field model of the GMA was established with the finite element analysis method, and the magnetic field distribution of the GMA was obtained with the software ANSYS. Then the 3-D model helped us to find the effects about the distribution of magnetic field of the GMA from the structure. The 3-D magnetic field finite element analysis model can give us a new tool of GMA design and analysis.

A lecture on the method to compute the the stress of V-tooth coupling under the actual operating conditions. the finite element analysis model of V-tooth coupling under the preload, axial load and torsion was established by used of the software ABAQUS,and the distribution of the bending stress at the root was obtained. The analytical method to compute the bending stress of V-tooth disk is deduced based on the basic principle of material mechanics, and the relative error within 10% compared with the results of finite element analysis.The paper work provide the reference for the precision design of V-tooth coupling.

Debonding of concrete occurs when the interface principal stress reaches the ultimate tensile strength. We propose the use of carbon fiber plate attached to the beam bottom, which makes finite element analysis of the mechanical properties of debonding concrete beams more reasonable. In addition, formulas of this theory are given and applied in the finite element analysis. Finally, it is shown by a number of experimental results.

A reinforced concrete folded plate space structure of span 28 m and clear height 9·4 m was constructed as a games hall. The structure was analysed using the finite element method. At the design stage, model tests were carried out to check the accuracy of the method of analysis. To assess the behaviour of the actual structure subject to its self-weight, strains and deflections were monitored during construction both before and after removal of formwork. The tests confirmed that results given by the finite element analysis are of sufficient accuracy for the purpose of design, irrespective of the assumptions involved.

In the airport pavement design, the critical load position has the guiding significance for the airport pavement slab design. The finite element analysis model of rigid airport pavement is built, and 2-slab model and 9-slab model are analyzed. The corresponding load positions are obtained when the maximum stress and the maximum vertical displacement happen

In this study, the creep deformation in the threaded joint are discussed using a finite element method, and evaluated the influence of the dimensions of bolt and clamped parts. The stress and creep strain distributions are calculated using the Finite Element Analysis. The occurrence and the propagation of the creep deformation and influence of the creep deformation on the axial bolt force were discussed. It was found that the creep deformation occurred at the bearing surfaces and the engagement screw thread mainly at the elevated temperature. The creep deformation was a cause of the reduction in axial bolt force.
