With the changes of domestic environmental policy, the curriculum provision of environmental engineering should be continuous improved. This paper analyzes the current teaching situation of environmental engineering and brings up rationalization proposals. According to the found problems of theory course, experimental course and practical training, it is very necessary to adjust the training program and curriculum system of environmental engineering. The specific measures are adding some new courses to teaching system, and changing the assessment methods. There are different characteristics among theory course, experimental course and different courses, so the teaching methods and assessment methods are different, too.

Environmental monitoring is one special and basal course of environmental engineering. This course has the characteristic of theory and practice, and there are some problems in teaching practice. The paper optimizes the course in three fields, such as teaching content of theory, teaching content of experiments and teaching methods. The object of course reforms is that students can grasp and understand the course contents well, at the same time they can improve the ability of innovation and solving problems.

Environmental engineering education has rapidly expanded in recent years and new teaching methods are needed. Many professionals and educators believe that a MS degree in environmental engineering should be the minimum in order to practice the profession, along with practical training. This paper describes an innovative program being offered at the University of Cincinnati that combines an integrated BS in civil engineering and an MS in environmental engineering with extensive practical co-operative education (co-op) experience, all within a five-year period. The program includes distance learning opportunities during the co-op periods. The result is a well-trained graduate who will receive higher pay and more challenging career opportunities, and who will have developed professionalism and maturity beyond that from traditional engineering programs.

This article states that the clear formulation of teaching methods is a key factor in improving the quality of lessons. It is emphasized that the combination of non-traditional and practical training with educational materials, along with mass education technologies, will serve to improve the quality of education. The effective result obtained by changing the methods of connecting the coils of electric motors is shown by examples and by the solution of the examples.

Teaching method acts as a fundamental catalyst of engineering the students learning at all levels. The present research explores the effect of lecture and word wall approaches on elementary level students in their academics with respect to their conceptual comprehension. The purpose of the study was pre-testing and post-testing experimental research that is equivalent group, while in the sample of study 50 students from class 5 were divided into two categories: 25 students in control and experimental classes. The data was collected through pretest and posttest in the form of written tests from students on weekly basis, which was analyzed via ANCOVA using SPSS. The results show that a modern teaching method, i.e. the word-wall, and a high conceptual understanding, enhances the performance of students in the experimental group. It also recommended that the students retain academic principles using modern assessment methods, adopt new teaching strategies and provide cognitive training.

In order to maintain the competitiveness of traditional industries on the market and encourage industrial circles to plan environmental improvement and pollution precautions from the interior of their organizations, ISO14000 has been enacted to protect the environment. Hence, the course “ISO14000 and Environmental Material” has been the primary course in various kinds of higher educational institutions. It is necessary to give the course in bilingual language to the undergraduates, especially those who study in Environmental Engineering. This paper first analyzes the characteristics and probes the problems of this course. Then it proposes a developing plan for the course from the following aspects:course aims, related courses, teaching methods, communicational abilities and motivational measures.

The primary task of higher medical education in Ukraine today is to provide health care facilities, competitive — able, staff with fundamental knowledge. The competent component of the applicant for higher education, first of all, involves the introduction of updated approaches to the educational process. When studying the component “Pediatric Surgical Dentistry ” one of the most difficult to perceive, but very important is the topic of “Congenital malformations”. Experience shows that difficulties arise in mastering practical material. With this in mind, the aim of our work was to optimize the teaching of the component “Pediatric Surgical Dentistry” aimed at forming a competency component in higher education. When teaching the topic, first of all, you should focus on the relevance of the problem. In addition, in order to master the material in the process of practical training, we use interactive teaching methods: brainstorming, case method, presentations, role-playing and business games. To systematize the theoretical knowledge of students obtained in a practical lesson on this topic, lecture material is taught, the content of which is scientifically sound and supplemented by a multimedia presentation. To ensure a balance between theoretical and practical parts of higher education training on the basis of the department created and operates a regional diagnostic and counseling center for children with congenital and acquired disabilities, whose experience and experience is an additional source of methodological support of the educational process. Our data and teaching methods aimed at obtaining the necessary knowledge and practical skills of applicants to study the part “Congenital malformations” indicate the prospects for their implementation, as it further creates the basic prerequisites for further research to optimize the learning process to form competencies in accordance with educational-professional program.
