The paper gives an introduction of the structure and working principles of the new gap-type electro-hydraulic servo valve and advances the performance law of throttle by a comparative analysis of the performance of gap-type electro-hydraulic servo valve and the traditional rectangular orifice. In the meanwhile, combined with the introduction of the coordinate of working state, this paper aims to solve such complex problems as the design parameters of hydraulic components and provide a basis for the visual design of the performance of hydraulic components and cavity control parameters of servo valve and the main valve.

High flow rate electrohydraulic servo valve is widely applied in hydraulic servo systems. Typical high flow rate servo valve is three-stage nozzle flapper pilot structure which is complicated, unreliable, and highly costly. This study proposed a new two-stage structure high flow rate and quick response electrohydraulic spiral pilot servo valve (ESPV) using a novel hydraulic full bridge spiral pilot stage (FBSPS) as hydraulic amplifier. Its structure is simpler than traditional servo valve which could increase reliability. A design parameters optimization method for servo valve is proposed. It is using an optimization objective function which can balance dynamic performance, static performance, and pilot state efficiency for different design objectives. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) method was applied to get the best key design parameters of ESPV. A research prototype was developed based on the optimized parameters for fast response. The experimental results indicated that the frequency bandwidth (−3 dB amplitude attenuation and −90 deg phase lag) of the ESPV is up to 150 Hz at 20% of full range. This frequency response performance is competitive with existing servo valves, and the simpler structure can improve reliability and reduce cost. Thus, it may have great potential in hydraulic servo system with high reliability requirement, such as aircraft hydraulic servo control system.

Because of the difference between oil and water in physical and chemical properties, research on the design method of water hydraulic slide valve is important to design the water hydraulic servo valve. Based on the flow fluid simulation of incompressible flow, according to the design parameters of water hydraulic slide valve, CFD software Fluent is used to simulate and analyze the flow characteristics of water hydraulic slide valve. The simulation model of Slide valve with rectangular openings has been built, and different combinations of boundary conditions are specified to make comparisons so as to ensure the correctness of the simulation. The factors which impact the static characteristics of slide valve like the spool opening, flow coefficient, incidence angle have been discussed. The results indicate that the flow designed of the slide valve is approximately proportional to the spool opening by rational selection of structure parameters. The structure parameters of the slide valve that satisfy the design requirements are derived.

AbstractHigh-speed single-mode fiber-optic communication systems have been presented based on various hybrid multiplexing schemes. Refractive index step and silica-doped germanium percentage parameters are also preserved during their technological boundaries of attention. It is noticed that the connect design parameters suffer more nonlinearity with the number of connects. Two different propagation techniques have been used to investigate the transmitted data rates as a criterion to enhance system performance. The first technique is soliton propagation, where the control parameters lead to equilibrium between the pulse spreading due to dispersion and the pulse shrinking because of nonlinearity. The second technique is the MTDM technique where the parameters are adjusted to lead to minimum dispersion. Two cases are investigated: no dispersion cancellation and dispersion cancellation. The investigations are conducted over an enormous range of the set of control parameters. Thermal effects are considered through three basic quantities, namely the transmission data rates, the dispersion characteristics, and the spectral losses.

The reasons for impact pressure are obtained by the research the hydraulic system of Hydraulic Rolling-Cut Shear. The impact pressure of hydraulic system is divided into direct impact and indirect impact. Based on analyzing the actual situation the measures should be taken to reduce the impact pressure when design hydraulic system. The suitable length of pipeline can improve the performance of the hydraulic system because the length is important for the impact pressure. The accumulator can absorb impact pressure and improve the work situation of servo valve. Therefore, the suitable accumulators should be set in the hydraulic system. The study provides theory basis for the pipe design of large hydraulic servo system.

In the current era, there is an ever-growing demand for data hungry applications and services that need large amounts of bandwidth to send digital information at very high speeds. In order to meet this challenge for higher bandwidth capacity, Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) is used as the strategy to transmit multiple high-bit rate channels at extremely narrow channel spacings over a single fiber core. However, this gives rise to detrimental transmission impairments such as linear effects and non-linear effects. The dissertation minimises the impairments by optimally designing a new DWDM system that produces a detectable and acceptable quality of signal at the receiver. In this dissertation, a comparative analysis is performed on the simulative design of a 48-channel DWDM system that has a 25 Gb/s bit rate and a 100 km transmission distance. The research mitigates the effects of transmission impairments such that an error-free matched communication link is produced for equally spaced (ES) channels of 100 GHz, 50 GHz, 25 GHZ and 12.5 GHz and 6.25 GHz. Various design parameters are used to create the comparative analysis model to optimise the 48 channel DWDM network. The design is simulated using the Optisystem simulation platform and the signal analysis is based on the bit error rate (BER) and quality (Q) factor of the received signal’s eye diagrams. It is established in the desertion that modified networks with matched active components has ES frequency channels that are aligned to each other and has a higher optical signal to noise ratio (OSNR) than mismatched networks. The maximum signal power and OSNR of the 3-erbium doped fiber amplifier (EDFA)-post symmetric compensation technique is always higher than the 1-EDFA post compensation technique for all channel spacings in any type of network. Modified duobinary return to zero (MDRZ) when compared to non-return to zero (NRZ) and return to zero (RZ) has a greater dispersion tolerance, higher fiber non-linearity tolerance and a higher acceptable signal transmission over longer distances with the least amount of errors. The optimised design parameter configurations produce the highest signal performance (highest Q factor > 6 and lowest BER > 10-9) and the highest bandwidth efficiency for the RZ Modulation (at 100 GHz, 50 GHz and 25 GHz channel spacings) and MDRZ Modulation (at 12.5 and 6.25 GHz channel spacing).
