A New Improved Entropy Method and its Application in Power Quality Evaluation

This paper puts forward a new improved entropy method, which fixes the problem of traditional entropy weight method that entropy weights present the wrong message of entropy when all the entropy values are close to 1. The proposed method achieved efficient performance by designing calculation model of BP network. Firstly, the synthesis weights of power quality indexes were calculated by rank correlation analysis and the improved entropy method, which avoids the one-sidedness of subjective or objective. And the quantitative values of multi-index were obtained. Then a calculation model of BP network to realize this evaluation method is designed in this paper, making it more efficient and more practical. Finally, the evaluation of a power supply bureau has verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In recent years, various large- and medium-sized shopping malls have been essential components of each city with the speed-up of China’s urbanization process and the improvement of residents’ living standard. A method for evaluating fire risk in shopping malls based on quantified safety checklist and structure entropy weight method was proposed according to related literatures as well as laws and regulations by analyzing the characteristics of fires occurring in shopping malls in recent years. At first, the factors influencing the fire risk in shopping malls were determined by carrying out on-site survey and visiting related organizations to construct an evaluation index system for fires occurring in shopping malls; afterwards, a quantified safety checklist composed of four parts (i.e. safety grade, grade description, scoring criterion and index quantification) was established based on related laws and regulations; subsequently, index weights were determined by utilizing structure entropy weight method, thus putting forward a method for assessing fire risk in shopping malls based on quantified safety checklist and structure entropy weight method. Eventually, the applicability of the evaluation method was validated exampled by Wal-Mart. The research result provides a theoretical basis for further improvement of the theoretical system for fire risk evaluation in shopping malls, and also exerts practical and guidance significance on timeous and effective early warning as well as prevention and control of building fires.

Abstract Partial destructive disassembly (PDD) is essential for end-of-life products to improve their automatic disassembly efficiency and reduce disassembly cost. A feasibility evaluation of the PDD is the key step to evaluate whether the PDD can be implemented. However, it has not been studied previously to our knowledge. To deal with this problem, a multi-granularity feasibility evaluation method is proposed. A multi-granularity feasibility evaluation model of the PDD was constructed based on the complex product’s hierarchical structure, which not only described the evaluation indices from the product level to the component level but also presented methods and rules to quantify them. 1Thus, disassembly entropy was introduced into the target group’s coarse granularity evaluation. The feasibility of the fine-grained index of the PDD for the component layer was constructed based on the product’s failure characteristic. The fine-grained index was calculated by the fuzzy trigonometric function and its weighting was obtained based on the structure entropy weight method. Thus, the results of the evaluation were used as feedback to guide the PDD process. Finally, a Passat engine case study illustrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the method.

In order to evaluate coaches, this paper established the model of comprehensive evaluation based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Firstly, I establish the hierarchical structure of the system; Secondly, for researching the influence of time line horizon in analysis, I divided coaches into several groups by their career time and calculated the weights of indicators of each group using entropy weight method; Finally, calculate the weight between the criteria layer and objective layer. Female coach data is difficult to find, so I select 100 college basketball male coach data. Put the data into model and get a score. The score showed the final result which can give us a sort of reasonable coach list. This model can reduce the influence of different time periods for evaluation of the coach.

Since January 1,2016, China has implemented the Two-child policy. The Two-child policy is contrast to the One-child policy which has been implemented for nearly 30 years by Chinese government. Since this Two-child policy is a basic national policy of China, its purpose is to determine a reasonable rate of population development. Whether the two-child policy can really achieve the desired effect. This article will discuss statistical methods and social realities.Firstly, author uses the entropy weight with Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method. Eighteen indicators affecting the population were set up to establish an initial evaluation matrix according to the actual situation and determine the accurate weight of each indicator.Secondly, the author makes predictions on China’s future population. In order to make sure the accuracy of the forecast, author makes second forecast of the modified value to reduce the noise caused by the entropy weight method. And the author discusses which method is suit for this question.Finally, author analyzes this situation.

In this paper, the Market-oriented Operations Strategy of CCHP are analysed, from the perspective of construction mode, operating mode and charging mode. On this basis, a three-dimensional indexes system is established, and combining the entropy weight method with Analytic Hierarchy Process as a comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the different market-oriented strategies of CCHP. Finally, the empirical analysis of the commercial building in southwest China shows that the market-oriented strategy of CCHP can bring more benefits to market participants when it has high applicability and great practical value.

Human-water relationship evaluation method based on cloud model is put forward to cope with the vagueness in evaluation language. With the intensive study of the specialty in human-water relationship in Northwest China arid area, three dimensions related to human-water relationship, natural water cycle’s health degree (NWHD), Social water cycle’s rationality degree (SWRD) and human-to-water fitness degree (HWFD) are selected to describe the harmony degree between water system and human system. The limit of evaluation index subordinate to each dimension corresponding to every harmony level is determined, and thus we can generate a comprehensive cloud model with evaluation index harmony level. When numeric values substitute for basic evaluation indexes, combined with the weights calculated from entropy weight method and AHP method, we get the certainty distributions of dimension indexes and integration objects among each harmony level. Case shows that human-water relationship evaluation method based on cloud model can effectively solve the vagueness and uncertainty in evaluation language. The evaluation results reflect the harmony degree in Northwest China arid area precisely.

For getting an objective assessment of product quality efficiently, the comprehensive evaluation method of generalized product quality was used to evaluate products. At the same time, the index weights were determined by entropy weight method. Taking air screener as example in this paper, we used the comprehensive evaluation method of generalized product quality which was based on entropy weight method to evaluate many types of air screeners and used the software which was made with VB to calculate the data, it made the evaluation process more objective and reliable. The result which was got with this method provided the scientific basis for users to choose the products and for companies to improve the product's quality.
