As road construction machinery, Synchronous chip seal truck achieves the synchronization of asphalt and aggregate spilling to improve and enhance the quality of the road surface sealing layer, and wide application in road construction and maintenance. Synchronous chip seal technology, construction technology and synchronous chip seal truck were discussion introduced. Technology status quo of domestic synchronous chip seal truck was analyzed and the development tendency was discussed.

Energy consumption is critical to economic growth and quality of life. America's energy system, however, is malfunctioning. The status quo is characterized by a tilted playing field, where energy choices are based on the visible costs that appear on utility bills and at gas pumps. This system masks the “external” costs arising from those energy choices, including shorter lives, higher health care expenses, a changing climate, and weakened national security. As a result, we pay unnecessarily high costs for energy. New “rules of the road” could level the energy playing field. Drawing from our work for The Hamilton Project, this paper offers four principles for reforming U.S. energy policies in order to increase Americans' well-being.

The rapid development of the construction industry has made great progress in civil engineering construction technology. As an important part of the construction of civil engineering construction, the advanced nature of its construction technology is directly related to the overall engineering construction level, and affects the construction of other projects in the later period. To this end, we must master the essentials of basic civil construction technology. At the same time, we also need to improve and innovate existing technologies based on market demand, learn the essence of advanced technologies and combine them with engineering practices, and innovate engineering quality management methods. Only in this way can the quality of civil engineering be ensured. In view of this, this article will discuss how to improve the quality of civil engineering through the innovation of ideas, systems and technologies on the basis of analyzing the status quo of the application of civil engineering technology in construction engineering.

This article outlines potential pros and cons of a future European regulation of proxy advisory firms, as set forth in the Commission’s Proposal for a Directive amending Directive 2007/36/EC. After summarizing criticisms concerning the proxy advisory industry, and findings regarding its de facto influence on investors’ voting conduct both in the US and in the European context, the article adverts to why the power of proxy advisors appears to be overestimated. Uncertainty on the status quo of the industry’s actual impact on key decisions in listed companies, as well as costs associated with a regulation, need to be considered for assessing the suitability of the rules drafted to ensure adequate levels of independence and quality of voting recommendations. While transparency rules may be preferred to stricter legal constraints or requirements in a first stage, possible shortcomings of the Draft Directive exist that may undermine its effectiveness. Analyzing the amendments to the Proposal adopted by the European Parliament, and the Council’s Presidency compromise text, may suggest a preferable approach as regards single rules still making their way through the European legislative process.

Both mainstream and disability bioethics sometimes contend that the self-assessment of disabled people about their own well-being is distorted by adaptive preferences that are only held because other, better options are unavailable. I will argue that both of the most common ways of understanding adaptive preferences—the autonomy-based account and the well-being account—would reject blanket claims that disabled people’s QOL self-assessment has been distorted, whether those claims come from mainstream bioethicists or from disability bioethicists. However, rejecting these generalizations for a more nuanced view still has dramatic implications for the status quo in both health policy and clinical ethics.

High-type roads in Tanzania have been predominantly of asphaltic concrete construction. This ever enlarging and ageing asphaltic road network represents increasing resource requirements on the road agency in the form of maintenance. Limited resources coupled with the ever sky-rocketing costs of petroleum products and the competing demands of social economic developments, presupposes the need to look for alternative road construction technology that is more cost-effective and resource optimising. Experience gained from developed and some developing countries where concrete pavements have been widely used suggests the potential of this type of pavement in many developingcountries. This paper discusses the technical aspects of design and construction- and maintenance-related aspects of concrete pavements. The discussion extends further to highlight issues pertaining to the performance of concrete pavements and strategies for promoting the use of concrete pavements in Tanzania. Conclusions and recommendationsare made with suggestions on how to start implementing the proposed strategies.

Water functions are very diverse for humans for daily needs such as drinking water, bathing, agriculture, development, aesthetics, and lower temperatures. Palembang is a lowland area dominated by wetlands, tidal swamps, and rivers. The types of houses on stilts on the banks of the Musi river are limas, Gudang, and Chinese stilt houses which are always associated with the water environment. The construction of roads replacing the role of rivers has realized people that the water environment has an important meaning for the house on stilts. The research objective was to explore the meaning of the water environment from various aspects for residents, stilt houses, and their environment. This research method is a case study with data collection through interviews, observation, measurements, and taking photos. Data and findings were analyzed and juxtaposed with images in the field. The road construction has eliminated part of the function of the river and influenced the change in orientation of the house on stilts. In conclusion, respect for the water environment including rivers has decreased, causing the quality of the river to decline, and the house on stilts cannot take advantage of the existence of the water environment optimally

This paper is mainly about the status quo and long-lasting problems of off-campus education in China. There is no doubt that education should be student-oriented. However, most of Chinese after-school training institutions are carrying out the exam-oriented courses crazily, which ignores the differences of individuals, the rules of their mental and physical development, not to mention the study interests tend to withered away. Various factors are no strangers to this phenomenon, from the educational system, educational needs of every family to the atmosphere created by the training institutions. As a result, a large quantity of people are accustomed to judging the achievements of adolescents down the road simply by predicting their test scores, linking the needs of education with the good jobs and high incomes rather than self-realization. The Education Evaluation System has gradually simplified in a disapproving way, and young people are equal to nothing but an index on their transcripts. People who find themselves embroiled in this ever-spiraling situation feel progressively anxious about score and time, which corrodes the very foundation of Chinese education.
