Material is the carrier of all industrial design, which is inseparable with. Material is the material basis for human survival and development and new materials is a foundation for future world. With the development of science and technology and rapidly changing times, people have developed more new material on the basis of traditional materials. Based on gray theory of new materials evaluation system, the paper made an analysis and research on a representative of the new materials.

Superconducting materials are a new kind of high-end technology materials mainly used in the fields of cutting-edge technology and military. However, the superiority of its various aspects is becoming familiar and understood gradually which steps this new material into all areas of the society. In the spirit of "people-oriented" principle, the purpose of every progress in science and technology or in any other field of social development is to accomplish people's all-round development, therefore, new technologies and new materials can always be integrated quickly into our daily life, in which they are improved and developed continuously. Family life is the most important element of people's daily life; therefore, given their superior properties, the wide application of superconducting materials to design household products is an inevitable trend in the future.

Based on the full cognition of the role of which new materials plays in industrial design, and combining the development of science and technology with increasing environmental awareness of human, this paper discusses the importance of new materials applications in contemporary industrial design. From the aspect of morphological characteristics, visual characteristics, features and bionic intelligence and so on, it analyzes the application effects of new materials in industrial design, showing that materials and industry design have the relationships that they permeate with each other, and they both play a significant role in the development of industrial design.

This paper proposes safety management evaluation system of metro station project based on factors which the construction techniques and process of drilling-blasting metro station involved.Then the paper uses the OWA operator to determine the weights of the index and adopts gray theory to evaluate safety of drilling-blasting metro station construction based on measure of metro station project safety management.Finally,the paper puts forward recommendations of safety management according to the evaluation results.
