There is a consensus on war: violent conflicts are out. But they continue to happen. One likes to exclude violent conflicts and to avoid them. But they could happen. Avoidance of wars appears not be sufficient. International relations presuppose an international anarchy. Anarchy does not exclude wars, but reduces them to exceptions. The present essay attempts to argue in favour of a categorical exclusion of violent conflicts which easily could destroy vital conditions of human survival.

Abstract Ecological identity, acting as the baton to guide the public’s behavior in nature, is closely correlated with environmental crises that threaten human survival. Previous studies of ecological identity are mostly conducted in the domain of sociopsychology with an emphasis on human’s attitude and behavior. Less attention, however, has been paid to the discursive construction of one’s ecological identity. The current study aims to build a framework to explore the mechanism of discursive strategies in constructing one’s ecological identity. To this end, this article classifies different ecological identities according to their impact on nature and the ecosophy of holism. It then puts forward a framework based on systemic functional linguistics to explore how lexicogrammatical resources can be employed strategically in the construction of ecological identity. The framework is significant for ecolinguistic investigations of identity and the cultivation of human’s critical language awareness related to the protection of ecosystems.

House is the most important basic need for the human survival, however many individuals especially those who are categorised in the category of generation Y still do not acquire a house due to various factors. It is quite a normal practice for most of home-buyers in Malaysia to purchase a house through banking institutions. However, as a Muslim, it is an obligation to purchase and acquire a house through Islamic financial institutions (IFIs) as it is accordance to the Shariah principle. The objective of the study is to qualitatively identify factors affecting the behavior of Muslims generation Y in Malaysia towards Islamic home financing products. Apparently, it is found that religious belief, profit rate, offer and promotion, and fast service (loan approval) are factors in affecting Muslims generation Y in choosing Islamic home financing products. Afterwards, the study proposed to integrate the findings (identified factors) with the theory of Attitude-Behavior-Context (ABC). The study findings are expected to contribute significantly to the theory, methodology, and empirical practices.

The ecological crisis is believed to have contributed to the destruction of human survival, namely a condition in which the ecological system is disturbed or even imbalanced. Through the world of education that fosters ecological character, It is hoped that it will prove to be a viable option. to this phenomenon. The ecological character aims to increase ecological piety, considering that the ecological crises that have occurred so far are more caused by human attitudes that are not wise in interacting with their environment. Plants are natural resources essential for human survival, with which local populations establish important cultural relationships to meet their basic needs. Such relationships involve local knowledge that is little considered in the pedagogical practices of school education. As a result of this reality, this research focuses on the contribution of the approach of local knowledge of medicinal plants in the teaching of Botany content in a rural school, located in the municipality of Caroebe in Roraima, in 2017. To access the knowledge, we use questionnaires with students from a class of the 2nd year of high school and also, diversified didactic activities were carried out in the approach to the content. We proved that the development of the didactic sequence with local knowledge favored the understanding of the contents of Botany and contributed to the involvement of students in the proposed pedagogical activities.

Therefore such a perspective reflects only a narrative, but there is no model that mathematically explains the effect of the shift of the leading economic sector to GDP. Economic sustainability is a useful and useful purpose for human survival, therefore the model of economic development of tourism in the economic development of this society can complement the previous models, theoretically described the concept of economic development of tourism, model, measurement, program and indicators of development success tourism economy.

This hybrid memoir begins and ends with a sea journey. Combining real-life story and dystopian tropical imaginary, the author takes us to the Straits of Malacca off the coast of Peninsular Malaysia, to futures of submerged cities in 2050, and on a final journey into the South China Sea off the coast of Sarawak on the island of Borneo. This is a story of climate change and rising seas entwining vignettes of pandemic lockdown, of a father’s dying, and the author’s future life submerged. It questions human survival in a world of demise, shaped by pandemic and surrounded by waters slowly but inexorably rising.

The concepts of sacrifice and service are subjects that have their formation in the social, historical and religious settings of the Old and New Testaments. Sacrifice and service were conceived as Telos of human survival in the Bible. Sacrifice and service were largely engaged by Paul in the book of Philippians to mean the use of fragrance in the OT sacrificial system. Paul calls the death of Christ for us an offering and a sacrifice to God a sweet-smelling savour. Paul’s view of sacrifice is similar to the understanding of the Krobo people. The concept of sacrifice and service in the socio-historical and religious life of the Krobo people of Ghana would be considered in this study to explain the biblical idea of sacrifice and service. This paper argues that sacrifice-service is as the Telos of personal and or public way of life. This paper explores how Christian sacrifice-service is as offering being “pour-out” in a person’s life draws attention to the daily suffering and service in Christ. The overall objective of this paper is to appreciate and promote sacrifice-service in the Bible as the Telos of life to influence moral life and good behaviour.
