The grinding quality assessing is a complex decision-making process, which must optimize and balance multi-influence factors. A grinding quality assessing method based on fuzzy synthetic evaluation theory combined with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is presented in this paper, and used to quality assessing for grinding process. The result of analyzing example indicates that this method can be used to estimate grinding quality based on the monitoring result of grinding process and grinding condition, and to assist grinding worker to select optimum grinding parameters for the steady grinding quality.

Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of the most favorable decision tools for dealing with complex decision-making problems. Probabilistic linguistic term set (PLTS) is an up-to-date tool to deal with uncertain information in the decision-making process. In this paper, we extend the AHP to the probabilistic linguistic environment for perfecting the modeling ability of AHP in various decision-making problems. In order to apply the PLTSs to the AHP properly, we first redefine the probabilistic linguistic comparison matrix (PLCM) and propose a new consistency index. Then, we propose a new approach to check and improve the consistency of the PLCMs. After that, we aggregate the individual PLCMs into the collective PLCM and derive the priorities of the collective PLCM. Finally, we combine the priorities with the decision matrix to complete the ranking of alternatives, and a case concerning the performance assessments of three new areas is given and the comparative analysis about the results is performed to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method.

It is not easy to evaluate the reputation of generating companies as the influence factors are multiple, complex, and partly subjective. A fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process method (AHP) with a set of power industry relevant criteria is applied in this paper. The fuzzy triangular number is introduced to characterize the subjective judgment of experts, and AHP is used to deal with the multiple evaluation factors, and to calculate the relevant weights with the aid of the arithmetic laws of fuzzy triangular number. Numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of this model.

Mine environmental geological assessment usually uses the expert subjective assignment to determine the weights of affecting factors, but the mine environmental geological problems are the result of many factors. Each factor is complex on the suitability of the influence factors, and the factors interrelate and restrict each other, so the human factor is of great impact. Take the geological quality evaluation of the mine environment of Shanxi, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia mining area as an example, this article discusses in detail the process of determining the weights of evaluation factors by using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), which increases the scientific nature of the assignment and reduces the subjectivity, which achieves satisfactory results.

The maintenance way of armored vehicle engine is hard time maintenance and breakdown maintenance in our army. So, the situation of lack or excess of maintenance is often existing in armored vehicle engine, and leading to potential safety hazard and wasting of resources. Condition based maintenance, which based on advanced detect and diagnosis technology, is a good way to solve the problems mentioned above. So, parameter tables which can completely reflect the state of armored vehicle engine is set up in this paper, and analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy synthetic evaluation method is used to scientific assess the state of vehicle engine. The computational process is demonstrated by analysis the experiment data of an armored vehicle engine. The work gives the foundation for condition based maintenance of armored vehicle engine.

Even though multifunctionality concept is reflected, implicit or explicitly, in the design of actual agrarian policies, its consideration when analysing and assessing farming systems is relatively limited in the scientific literature. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is proposed with this aim. AHP is a multicriteria discrete decision support technique that is used in complex decision making. This methodology is stated jointly with a proposed procedure to measure relative agreement among decision makers and uniformity of alternatives’ performances in group decision making. Finally AHP is implemented in the assessment of organic, integrated and conventional olive groves in Andalusia considering criteria of a different nature – economic, technical, sociocultural and environmental –. The final purpose is determining the more interesting growing techniques from a holistic point of view for all the society in the medium/long-term on the basis of knowledge of experts on olive.

Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) are important methods in model prediction. In this paper, a case concerning in how to estimate the serial criminal’s next possible crime location is researched. Two models are devised to determine the “geographical profile” of a suspected serial criminal. Model 1 is proposed that we use the AHP and consider many factors which may influence a criminal to choose his next crime location. Model 2 is an improvement of Model 1. It is a combination of the FAHP and the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Theory (FCET). And it overcomes the difficulty of dealing with uncertain factors, which model 1 cannot work. In the end, performances of the above models are analyzed.

Aiming at the high fault rate and the problem of high fault harmfulness of civil aircraft hydraulic pumping source system, the fuzzy synthetic evaluation algorithm is researched. Aiming at the complex system, more influenced factors, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is presented to establish the weight set. Aiming at the real-time need of health assessment, the expert system is used to build membership function. Finally the method is validated by a set of data of that system.
