The injection molding of plastic parts was simulated and analyzed by MOLDFLOW. Based on the result of mold flow analysis, we can optimize the structure of the mold, select equipment, determine parameters of process, and predict potential defects. The CAE technology could improve mold design ability, shorten plastic parts development cycle, improve the quality of plastic parts, reduce costs, and strengthen competitive power.

The level of the mold production for a country is an important symbol of the manufacturing level. In order to shorten the cycle of mold design and being put to use, we use the injection mold CAE software MOLDFLOW to simulate the plastic parts of automobile and simulate the design of gating processes of plastic parts to find flaws in advance and ensure the quality of products.

Mold flow software is used to conduct mold flow analysis of copier parts, simulate its filling and cooling process, and predict possible defects in the product design process in order to determine the formability of plastic parts and product quality. The optimal mold structure can be obtained by comparing different solutions so as to save production costs and improve product quality and efficiency.

Based the CAE technology, the paper introduced the application of Moldflow Insight in injection mold design of mobile phone cover. First, we must preprocess the finite element model, including importing three-dimensional model, meshing, and process setting. And then, we can use preliminary simulation analysis to determine the number and location of the gate. Finally to filling, cooling, packing and warpage analysis for part which can help us to find the causes from warpage generated. By optimizing the molding process parameters, adjusting the dwell pressure and the dwell time we can get less warpage, which can meet the precision demand of parts, consequently, the result can provide gist for the mold designers to design and for the injection molding technologist to process parameter adjustment.

The deformation seriously affects the quality of the products, which is one of the common defects of plastic parts in the injection molding. Factorial design and CAE technology was used to study the product's warping rate influence in this paper. The minimum warping rate was obtained through the Minitab software and the optimized process parameters are verified with the Moldflow software. Experimental results show that the optimization design is effective and the warpage of the product is reduced.

The selection of the mold parting surface, gating system, core-pulling mechanism, injection machine and computational problems of injection mold structure is described by analyzing the structural characteristics and requirements of the plastic thermos shell. In order to improve productivity and reduce production costs, Pro/E is applied to the design of injection molding mold. At the same time, Plastic Adviser is used in the liquidity analysis of shell .This method can reduce design time and production cycle.

This paper analyzes the structure and process of an automobile with the switch case plastic parts,using injection molding numerical simulation software to analyze the position of gate,warpage and shrinkage. It provides design basis for the mold structure optimization. Finally, this article uses UG Mold Wizard platform to finish the package of structure design of injection mold completely,and solve the parting problems of complex surface .Realizing the plastic parts of the CAD / CAE / CAM computer-aided design, greatly shorten the development cycle.
