Abstract This article presents the results of research on increasing fiber yield and improving product quality by using a new design of the vas deferens from the working chamber. It has been experimentally established that the most rational in terms of yield and quality of fiber, seeds and gin productivity is the position of the seed comb when the axes of its pegs are directed 5-10 degrees above the axis of the saw cylinder. The smallest value of complete hairiness of seeds after gin was obtained when installing a lamellar seed comb. Its average value was 13.8%. At the same time, the fiber yield was maximum - 34.66%, and the highest productivity - 8.5 kg of fiber per saw per hour. The influence of the distance between the ends of the seed comb pegs and grates at their values of 10, 20, 30 mm on the ginning indices was investigated. A distance of 20 mm is recognized as optimal taking into account all indicators - fiber yield, complete pubescence, productivity, quality of fiber and seeds. An experimental working chamber equipped with lamellar combs was made. It has been tested in the production conditions of a pilot cotton mill.

Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are an inseparable part of the national business world. The existence of MSMEs is something that is quite vital in improving the economy of the Indonesian people in various regions. This study aims to analyze the development strategy of the Kiso "Jago Abadi" handicraft SMEs in Kemiri Village, Banyumas Regency. This study uses qualitative research methods that involve researchers in their research subjects, then participatively identify problems and design empowerment models for development in the form of work programs that can be done. The strategy applied is to design the programs needed for MSMEs as capital for strengthening and knowledge for MSME actors who are involved in it. The way that can be applied is to continue to develop the uniqueness of handicraft products, expand market reach, always maintain and improve product quality, and consistently promote and maintain the production of Kiso "Jago Abadi" handicrafts. The results of this study are the finding of more optimal and efficient results in the production and marketing process of Kiso "Jago Abadi" handicrafts. The strategy for developing the potential of micro, small, and medium-sized handicrafts Kiso "Jago Abadi" in Kemiri village, Banyumas district can achieve maximum results. Abstract In order to make each functional module of silage machinery have a high degree of adaptability and meet the market demand of coordinated operation of each functional module, this paper preliminarily explores the symbiosis concept in the field of silage equipment, and applies the technology system evolution theory to the symbiotic design of silage equipment. In the design stage, the designers divide the functional modules of the silage machinery according to the market and user needs, and then analyze the symbiosis of the interrelated modules and screen out the functional modules with weak adaptability, so as to carry out the technical system evolution and optimize each functional module, and then establish the layout scheme between modules, so that the various functional modules of the silage machinery have strong adaptability, improve product quality, reduce design costs, shorten the design cycle, and realize the user’s demand for the coordinated operation of multi-functional silage machinery.

In order to improve product quality concerning of The Sanders Milk Donuts (as Small Medium Entreprise) accordance with consumer satisfaction and the winning of market competition, The Sanders has conducted research to determine the priority improvements based on consumers needs. The steps taken by the company in relation to this research include identifying the consumers product attributes performance levels and technical response components to be improved in terms of the basic components of technology and human labor. The data collected from 100 respondents and analize based on direct observation and brainstorming with Sanders Milk Donuts using the QFD (Quality Function Deployment) method. The results show that there are eight attributes of consumer needs that have been fulfilled by Sanders Milk and there are four technical response components that need to be improved from the technoware aspect and eight technical response components that need to be improved from the humanware aspect

Abstract To develop low temperature vacuum carburizing for next generation of injector parts was the aim of this work. Concerned parts were stopper (SUS303) and position ring (1.4305) with current properties of carburized thickness of av. 22.7 μm and hardness of HV0.05 av. 935.New carburizing and pickling were developed to reduce the cost and improve product quality. Especially, both steels showed different pitting and oxide regeneration behavior during pickling due to the composition difference. In the case of SUS 303, MnS inclusions at the surface led to severe MnS pitting, in contrast, 1.4305 formed Mo-oxides on the surface during pickling, which the excessive pitting by MnS inclusion site was prevented, confirmed by OM, SEM-EDX and XPS. Furthermore, these oxides resolved easily by hydrogen during carburizing and subsequently enabled activated carburizing. In conclusion, 1.4305 showed excellent properties, hardness of 985 HV0.05, thickness of 23 μm incl. satisfaction of weldability.

Various enzymes are used in the food industry to improve product quality. The enzyme transglutaminase is used to modify proteins in various foods through the formation of inter- and intramolecular ?-(?-glutamyl) lysine bonds. Previous studies have revealed that using transglutaminase in cheese production can increase the yield and enhance the characteristics of various types of cheese. However, the enzyme concentration, temperature, and pH influence the quality of cheese. This review aimed to discuss the potential of transglutaminase in cheese production. Our analysis showed that transglutaminase catalyzes the formation of covalent bonds between milk proteins (crosslinking), which results in a greater amount of casein trapped from whey and a higher yield of curd. Transglutaminase can also reduce production costs without negatively affecting cheese quality. These findings should prove useful in developing cheese products to improve consumer satisfaction.

The tight competition in the business world requires every business actor to develop business with various kinds of competition in all fields, one of which is by processing human resources, because the quality of human resources greatly affects the quality of production. The production process is usually associated with productivity, if productivity increases it will also be followed by an increase in the performance of the company. Human Resources is one of the keys to the success of the company in order to increase competition and improve product quality. The method used in this study is a descriptive type of qualitative approach. The data collection technique was through observation, interviews and documentation, the data source being from UD Slamet Situbondo. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of human resources on improving product quality. The results of the study indicate that the existence of quality possessed by human resources is very decisive for improving product quality in the future. For measuring product quality, it can be known through customer satisfaction, free from damage, the size of the durability of the product, product accuracy, and easy to operate and maintain. Meanwhile, from a marketing point of view, product quality is measured in terms of the buyer's perception of the quality of the product

Abstract. Tolerance design is an important part of the product development and manufacturing process. Studies show that using a reliable and efficient tolerance design method can effectively improve product quality and reduce manufacturing costs. Although numerous studies have been carried out in the area of tolerance analysis, combining the tolerance analysis with the concurrent engineering theory has been rarely studied so far. In order to resolve this shortcoming, a comprehensive tolerance design methodology based on concurrent engineering was proposed in the present study to shorten the product development cycle, improve product quality, and reduce manufacturing costs. To this end, experts from different engineering fields were employed to form a concurrent engineering team that works together. The tolerance design activities were divided into seven stages, including design requirements definition, dimension chain identification, initial geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, variation analysis, release technical specification, validation, and continuous improvement. Then the detailed work process of each stage is presented. Based on the Monte Carlo theory and 3D computer-aided tolerance software, a variation analysis framework was proposed. Finally, the gap between taillight and bodyside was considered a test case, and a specific operation method of tolerance design using this framework is expounded. In the studied cases, the calculated and measured mean value of the gap was 1.5 and 1.5368 mm, respectively, indicating the simulation error of 2.5 %. The obtained results show that the gap tolerance by the proposed method is consistent with the tolerance fluctuation in actual production.

They provide extensive analytical materials regarding the production and export of walnuts.
