This article combined with the practical production conditions,introduced the welding process parameter’s selection and operation technology of one-side welding with back formation for welding robot of WELDOX960 steel.The welding practices indicate that:when adopts the welding robot CO2+Ar to perform the one-side welding with back formation operation to WELDOX960 low alloy high strength steel,the setting of welding process parameters has the great impact to the high strength steel welding performance.

This paper studies WELDOX960 high strength steel, analysis of the welding ability of WELDOX960 high strength steel. Analyze the weld ability of WELDOX960 high-strength steel materials, and study the influence of process parameters such as welding current, welding voltage, and welding speed on penetration depth and weld width in the automated welding process. Through this test, the welding process is optimized to ensure the weld quality. The results show that WELDOX960 high-strength steel adopts multi-layer and multi-pass welding to form better welds.

Reproducibility in respect to welded structures realization is one of the main requirements for a wide variety of industrial applications. One of the international tendencies regarding the use of the steel is the replacing, in critical areas, of structural steels with high performance steel, e.g. with HSLA steels. The paper presents the results of a factorial designed experimental program focused on determining mathematical correlations between the GMAW process parameters for T joints of 4mm thick steel plates of structural (S235JR+AR according to SR EN 10025-2) and hot-rolled, high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel plates (S420MC according to EN 10025-4), respectively. A comparison between the obtained mathematical correlations that connect the welding parameters and the main mechanical characteristics is presented. The correlations can be used for applying the optimal combination of welding process parameters for realizing the T-joints of welded products.

Automotive industry is the one of the most rapidly developing sector of engineering. Using of new, progressive materials can make significant benefits because of growing durability and reducing weight of structural parts, which can lead to the materials and fuel savings. The authors of this paper discuss fatigue characteristics on arc metal welding process of high strength steels STRENX 700MC obtained in low cycle region (N approximate to 1.10(3) divided byN= 1.10(7) cycles) at low-frequency loading (frequency approximate to 35 Hz, T = 20 +/5 degrees C,R= -1). Authors compares results of their own experimental works and subsequently discus these result and their possible effect on the fatigue lifetime of these steels.

In this article, a numerical model for predicting spring-back in U-draw bending of DP350 high-strength steel sheet was presented. First, the hardening models were formulated based on combined isotropic–kinematic hardening laws, along with the traditional pure isotropic and kinematic hardening laws. A simplified method was proposed for determining the material parameters. Comparison of stress–strain curves of uniaxial tests at various pre-strains predicted by the numerical models and experiment showed that the combined isotropic–kinematic hardening model could accurately describe the Bauschinger effect and transient behavior subjected to cyclic loading conditions. Then, a finite element model was created to simulate the U-draw bending process using ABAQUS. Simulations were then conducted to predict the spring-back of DP350 high-strength steel in U-draw bending with geometry provided in the NUMISHEET’2011 benchmark problems. It was shown that the predictions of spring-back using the proposed model were in good agreement with the experimental results available in the literature. Finally, the effects of various tool and process parameters such as punch profile radius, die profile radius, blank holding force, and punch-to-die clearance on the spring-back were investigated. The simulation results suggested the significance of tool and process parameters on the final shape of the formed parts influenced by the spring-back.

In this paper, the properties of the base metal of the low-alloy high-strength steel 20MnTiB, the welding process and the microstructure and properties of the welded joints were studied. The results are as follows: post-heat treatment below 400°C, the strength change of the steel decreases slowly, the elongation does not change significantly, and the metallographic structure is not obvious. When the temperature is above 400, the strength is greatly reduced. And its plasticity increases remarkably, and precipitates on the grain boundary are precipitated and grown on the metallographic structure. When the line energy is in the range of 9.6~12.0kJ/cm, the mechanical properties and microstructure of the welded joints meet the requirements, and the welding process that meets the requirements is studied. Finally, the mechanical properties and microstructure of the welded joint are studied. Provide a reference for the research and application of steel.
