The research results for polynomial tensor interpolation of tribological wear of austenitic 316L steel are analyzed for the first time in this paper. A tribological study was carried out on the tester T-05, both for samples after the process of glow discharge nitriding and for samples of 316L steel in the initial state [1, 2]. The influence of the nitriding parameters on the weight loss of the samples during the abrasion test and the friction coefficient of the abrasion pair were determined. In this paper the actual results which were obtained so far during the research of tribological wear in an interpolative area were put together with the theoretically determined and experimentally verified real research results for tribological wear in the area beyond the scope of interpolation. It was determined that each of the selected nitriding parameters significantly affects abrasive wear resistance of 316L steel, at the same time, in the nitriding process, as time and temperature increase the resistance to wear abrasion becomes better. The mathematical model for planning of experiments with different glow discharge nitriding processes combined with polynomial interpolation of the obtained research results of many variable functions will enable to choose the nitriding process parameters to obtain the assumed and required property of useful nitrified elements. The developed computer program enables multidimensional interpolation of the research results and is a universal tool which can be used in any research field.

Items supplies planning of a logistic system is one of the major issue in operations research. In this article the aim is to determine how much of each item per month from each supplier logistics system requirements must be provided. To do this, a novel multi objective mixed integer programming mathematical model is offered for the first time. Since in logistics system, delivery on time is very important, the first objective is minimization of time in delivery on time costs (including lack and maintenance costs) and the cost of purchasing logistics system. The second objective function is minimization of the transportation supplier costs. Solving the mathematical model shows how to use the Multiple Objective Decision Making (MODM) can provide the ensuring policy and transportation logistics needed items. This model is solved with CPLEX and computational results show the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Abstract The mathematical model for reliability indicators calculation of the hybrid navigation system containing microwave and technical vision subsystems is proposed in this paper for the first time. The proposed method is based on the translation matrix concept of solutions to the Kolmogorov equation system and it allows us to obtain the mathematical expression of availability factor, downtime ratio, and other reliability indicators. Also the presented approach allows finding the reliability indicators for the cases of jump change of transition intensities caused by external influences. Besides the analytical method can be used for investigation of hybrid navigation system transient mode functioning. The results of the numerical calculations clearly demonstrated correctness of the proposed approach.

The problems of the theory and practice of literary translation as a phenomenon of intercultural communication are still actualized in modern philological science. The research field in this area of scientific knowledge is expanding for translators and those interested in the problems of the dialogue of cultures. The choice of the research topic was also conditioned by the 95th anniversary of the famous Ossetian poet, playwright, literary critic Nafi Grigorievich Jusoyty, celebrated this year. The article examines the contribution of the people’s writer of Ossetia to the theoretical understanding of the problems of literary translation; for the first time one of the most difficult poems for translation by A.S. Pushkin’s «Prophet» in the interpretation of N. Jusoyty is reviewed. In particular, the author in the article presents an analysis of the discussion papers published by Jusoyty on the pages of central literary journals on the most pressing problems of translation studies. In them, Jusoyty focuses on the issues of closeness to the original, improving the quality of interlinear translations, innovation and modernization of classical works; determines the importance of translation reading in the process of comprehending the original; determines the specifics of poetic translation; opposes embellishment in translation, the demonstration of weak originals and imperfect translations at the all-Union level. In general, Jusoyty, arguing with well-known theorists, offers his own concept of translation, starting from the choice of a work and up to the final result – a text in another language. We are faced with a range of problems that still concern specialists in literary translation. The author of the article also presents a comparative analysis of A. Pushkin’s poem in the original and in t/he translation interpretation of N.G. Jusoyty. Comparison of the texts at the semantic level showed Jusoyty’s desire to find close artistic means that help to reveal the main image. But not everywhere is disclosed the two-dimensional meaning embodied in the lexical units of the source language.

The purpose of the research – is to demonstrate how the historiographic image of Wilhelm von Habsburg, known as Colonel Vasyl Vyshyvanyi, was constructed on the basis of sources of personal origin and historiography materials that were deposited during the XX century. In the first time in historiography shown as the as the story of the Austrian archduke, who decided to change his national identity and chose for himself the image of a fighter for the will of Ukraine, unfolded and mythologized. The history of the life of the Austrian Archduke Wilhelm von Habsburg-Lötringen has in recent years been enriched by a number of thorough studies. The main issue of this research was the question of choosing a Ukrainian national identity. The construction of the Ukrainian legend Vasyl Vyshyvany in the historiography began, based on his own autobiography. As the accumulation of source and scientific material, the question of the vision of the hero evolved: from explaining the circumstances of change of national self-identification to exploring the motives of this step. Changes in the interpretation of this issue were also outlined and brought to the cultural and philosophical research field.

Abstract In order to accurately predict the hysteresis characteristics of finger seal, the minimum hysteresis which can directly reflect the hysteresis of finger seal is proposed to characterize the hysteresis of finger seal. The mathematical model for calculating the minimum hysteresis of finger seal is established, the correction coefficient in the mathematical model is determined, and the mathematical model is verified by experiments. The influence of the structure and working condition parameters of finger laminates on the hysteresis characteristics is studied based on the modified calculation model, and the rule of influence is obtained in the end. Research results show that the maximum error between the leakage characteristics numerical calculation of finger seal base on modified calculation model and the experiment results is 7.64%, and the mathematical model of the minimum hysteresis is reasonable and reliable. The descending order of influence degree of structural parameters on the hysteresis characteristics of finger seal is: thickness of each finger laminate, finger repeat angle, arc radius of the finger beam arcs‘ centers, diameter of the finger base circle, width of the interstice between fingers, arc radius of finger beam. The research results provide a theoretical basis for further research on the influence of hysteresis on the finger seal leakage characteristics and the optimal design of finger seal structure.

A fundamentally new model of aftershocks evident from the shock-wave model of the earthquake and Poincaré Recurrence Theorem [H. Poincare, Acta Mathematica 13, 1 (1890)] is proposed here. The authors (Recurrences in an isolated quantum many-body system, Science 2018) argue that the theorem should be formulated as “Complex systems return almost exactly into their initial state”. For the first time, this recurrence theorem has been demonstrated with complex quantum multi-particle systems. Our shock-wave model of an earthquake proceeds from the quantum entanglement of protons in hydrogen bonds of lithosphere material. Clearly aftershocks are quantum phenomena which mechanism follows the recurrence theorem.

For the first time, a mathematical model for the drying of woody biomass during conductive heating with localization of the evaporation front has been formulated. The processes of moisture removal during the filtration of steam through the porous structure of the material at an ambient temperature of Te = 373 K were considered. Humidity was varied (in the range from 6% to 40%) and dimensions of wood blanks (Rd = 0.0035 - 0.035 m). Based on the results of numerical simulation, the conditions and characteristics (evaporation rate Wisp, drying time τ dry) of the process of moisture removal from wood biomass are determined. The mathematical model allows to calculate the drying time, as well as the mass evaporation rate for different sizes of wood sample, humidity and temperature conditions.

Machine translation is used in many applications in everyday life. Due to the increase of translated documents that need to be organized as useful or not (for building a translation model), the automated categorization of texts (classification), is a popular research field of machine learning. This kind of information can be quite helpful for machine translation. Our parallel corpora (English-Greek and English-Italian) are based on educational data, which are quite difficult to translate. We apply two state of the art architectures, Random Forest (RF) and Deeplearnig4j (DL4J), to our data (which constitute three translation outputs). To our knowledge, this is the first time that deep learning architectures are applied to the automatic selection of parallel data. We also propose new string-based features that seem to be effective for the classifier, and we investigate whether an attribute selection method could be used for better classification accuracy. Experimental results indicate an increase of up to 4% (compared to our previous work) using RF and rather satisfactory results using DL4J.

The fracture toughness of SLG filled phenolic composites have been determined by short bar tests. It is expensive to prepare the samples for the tests. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a mathematical model that will predict the fracture toughness of particulate filled phenolic composites. Mathematical models for tensile strength, Young’s modulus are available but not for impact strength and fracture toughness. There is no sign that it can be built up from simple mathematical model; polynomial interpolation using Lagrange’s method was therefore employed to generate the fracture toughness model using the data obtained from experiments. From experiments, it was found that the trend of the fracture toughness of the samples cured conventionally was similar to that cured in microwaves; it is therefore possible to predict the fracture toughness of the samples cured in microwaves from shifting the mathematical model generated for fracture toughness of samples post-cured in conventional oven. The shifted model represented the fracture toughness of the samples cured in microwaves vey well.
