AbstractThis paper provides an overview of the features of caregiver input that facilitate language learning across early childhood. We discuss three dimensions of input quality: interactive, linguistic, and conceptual. All three types of input features have been shown to predict children's language learning, though perhaps through somewhat different mechanisms. We argue that input best designed to promote language learning is interactionally supportive, linguistically adapted, and conceptually challenging for the child's age/level. Furthermore, input features interact across dimensions to promote learning. Some but not all qualities of input vary based on parent socioeconomic status, language, or culture, and contexts such as book-reading or pretend play generate uniquely facilitative input features. The review confirms that we know a great deal about the role of input quality in promoting children's development, but that there is much more to learn. Future research should examine input features across the boundaries of the dimensions distinguished here.

Abstract Studies show that family relationships can act as mediating agents in triggering and maintaining the symptoms of anorexia nervosa (AN), especially the mother-daughter relationship configuration, which contains unconscious elements transmitted inter-generationally. This study aimed to understand the role of intergenerational psychic transmission in the articulation of anorexic symptoms in a young woman in treatment. Three generations of women of the same family were interviewed: maternal grandmother, mother and daughter, all diagnosed with AN. Some psychic contents that could not be elaborated were identified in the reports and these were, subsequently, converted into legacies transmitted to later generations. Feelings of inhibition and shame regarding sexuality and the female body, transmitted from grandmother to mother and from mother to granddaughter, seem to have blocked the emotional development in all generations. Incorporating these findings into treatment may facilitate the processing of the transmitted unconscious contents, contributing to the reorganization of the family's psychodynamic functioning.

The adequate nutrition in childhood has the main role in the physical, mental and emotional development of the child. Herein, the children are considered a prioritized part of the population that can be influenced by different intervention strategies (Deghan et al. 2005). It is of utmost importance to obtain the suitable nutrition to every child, and this is the main reason that causes most of the research on child nutrition to be conducted in the kindergartens. The analysis on the food intake and the type of food in the kindergarten can help us analyse the overall health of the children. Usually, in the process of food analysis we use various components such as the following: dietary intake, anthropometric measurements and biochemical testing. We have identified a few researches that have used the above mentioned components for assessment of the child’s nutrition that we mention in our paper as well.

У статті розкрито ефективність поєднання інтелектуального та емоційного розвитку студентів у процесі освоєння методики навчання конкретних тем шкільного курсу фізики, у тому числі засобами рольової дидактичної гри, яка проводиться під час тренувального уроку і передбачає виконання одним із студентів ролі вчителя, а іншими – ролі учнів.Ключові слова: методика навчання фізики, інтелектуальний розвиток, емоційно вмотивований розвиток.  Revealed the effectiveness of the unity of intellectual and emotional development of students in the process of developing methods of teaching specific topics of school physics course, including by means of a didactic role play, when during a training lesson, one student plays the role of the teacher and the rest - the role of students.  Key words: Physics learning, intellectual development, emotional motivated development.

In this talk delivered to social workers, Winnicott brings his understanding of professional psychiatry, with its attempts to treat severe mental illness using a more humane approach, together with his belief in dynamic psychology—the emotional development of the individual derived from the study of psychoanalysis—into a closer connection with one another. He charts a brief outline of psychoanalysis and interprets the psychoses through it. He sees the importance of early environmental factors in mental illness and the possible effects of this on maturation. He comments on depression both normal and psychotic in type, on his theories of personalization, of feeling real, and, through early dependence, the gradual growth of the functioning self. He also gives an empathic view of the role of the social worker in the difficult work of treating acute mental ill health.
