The present study on extent of adoption of chilli growers was conducted in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh covering one block. A total of 120 respondents were selected by simple random sampling method from six randomly selected villages. Pre-tested well structured interview schedule was used for collecting the relevant information’s. The study inferred that majority of the respondents were of middle aged, belonged to medium size of family, other backward class, illiterate, having low annual income between Rs. 35,001 to 60,000,no membership in any organization indicating poor social participation and farming (chilli cultivation) as the main occupation. Most of the respondents were having medium level of knowledge have medium level of adoption. It was found that villagers do not get other vegetable for their commercial income, through chilli they at least filling this gap of income, although they are producing chilli at low level. Majority of the respondents reported that reasons of adoption of this crop due to chilli needs, less hard work with high benefits and income and it is good for soil also.

Retailing is a major business in India, organized retailers are entering in to Indian markets to reach mass sales and maximize profit , in this stage retailers should aware of the factor that influencing customer choice of store and customer behaviour, loyalty of the customer is a tool to reach profitability and with hold in market, and objective of this study is to know the factor which influences customer choice of store selection and their behaviour in organized retail out lets in Madurai, 175 samples were selected using simple random sampling method, data collected with the structured interview schedule, SPSS package has been used for statistical analysis.

The present study was carried out in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, India by using random sampling method with 120 respondents and data collected by well structured interview schedule. There are 8 blocks of Dindigul district (Tamil Nadu, India) out of which 4 blocks were selected on the basis of maximum area (1568 ha) and production (18002 MT). Objective of this research is to study the Marketing behaviour of tomato growers. Consumers' marketing behaviour when looking for, buying, selling, using, evaluating, and discarding products and services that they believe will meet their requirements. According to the findings, the majority of respondents (64.16 per cent) had a medium level of overall marketing behaviour, followed by 23.34 per cent of them having high and only 12.5 percent of them having low level of marketing behaviour.

The present study was aimed at determining the constraints confronted by the farmers in livelihood diversification. The purposes of this study were to determine the extent and nature of livelihood diversification of the farmers and also to explore relationships of 13 selected characteristics of the farmers with their livelihood diversification. There were a total of 1270 farmers in the 5 villages constituted the population of the study, out of which 10 percent of the total farmers were selected through simple random sampling technique. This gave a sample size of 127 such farmers. Data were collected by the researcher himself with the help of pre-tested interview schedule during 15 February 2013 to 30 March, 2013. The livelihood diversification scores of the respondents ranged from 0.22 to 0.79 with an average of 0.41. It is seen that more than half of the farmers 53.5% had medium level of livelihood diversification compared to 19.7 percent of them having low livelihood diversification and 26.8 percent had high livelihood. Out of 13 selected characteristics of the farmers, seven of those viz. education, family education, income generating experience, household annual income, communication exposure, organizational participation and attitude towards livelihood diversification had positive significant relationship with livelihood diversification. The study was conducted among dry land farmers of Pudukkottai district in Tamil Nadu. Using random sampling method 80 respondents were selected and data was collected through pre-tested interview schedule. Adoption index was used to quantify the selected In-Situ Water Conservation (ISWC) practices. The study examined the level of awareness and extent of adoption of In-Situ Water Conservation (ISWC) practices among dry land farmers. The results showed that among the eight selected practices, respondents had cent percent awareness about summer plough, land leveling and ridges and furrows. Majority of respondents had medium level (76.20%) of adoption of ISWC practices respectively. The study reveals that most of the respondents followed more than two ISWC practices on their farms to conserve the rainwater.

Abstract: Dust contains a variety of air-borne particles that spread in the air. The house dust contains house dust mites which are found most in the furniture of the house. House dust mites can be a serious problem for human health. The temperature and moisture of Manado is suitable for the breeding of house dust mites. This study aimed to determine the behavior of the public towards the house dust mites population around the residential houses in subdistrict Malalayang Satu district Malalayang Manado. This was a descriptive study with using questionnaire. Samples were 100 people obtained by simple random sampling method. This study was conducted in November – December 2012. The results showed that the average level of knowledge of the population was in good category with a score of 4.77 points (maximum 8 points). Respondents’ attitude is categorized as good with the average score of 20,01 points (maximum 21 points). Respondent’s action is categorized as good with average score of 7.04 points (maximum 10 points). Conclusion: Knowledge, attitude, and action of people in subdistrict Malalayang Satu Malalayang Manado belonged to good category.Keywords: house dust mite, behaviourAbstrak: Debu merupakan gabungan dari bermacam-macam partikel yang menyebar di udara. Di dalam debu rumah terdapat tungau debu rumah (TDR) yang banyak ditemukan pada perabot-perabot rumah. TDR dapat menjadi masalah serius bagi kesehatan manusia. Suhu dan kelembaban kota Manado cukup ideal bagi perkembangbiakan TDR. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku masyarakat terhadap populasi TDR di sekitar rumah penduduk kelurahan Malalayang Satu kecamatan Malalayang Manado. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan kuesioner. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 100 orang yang diambil berdasarkan simple random sampling. Penelitian dilakukan di kelurahan Malalayang Satu kecamatan Malalayang Manado pada bulan November – Desember 2012. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan penduduk masuk dalam kategori baik dengan skor 4,77 poin (maksimal 8 poin). Sikap responden dikategorikan baik dengan skor rata-rata 20,01 poin (maksimal 21 poin). Tindakan responden dikategorikan baik dengan skor rata-rata 7,04 poin (maksimal 10 poin). Simpulan: Pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan masyarakat kelurahan Malalayang Satu kecamatan Malalayang kota Manado termasuk kategori baik.Kata kunci: tungau debu rumah, perilaku

The purpose of this paper is whom do Sports Goods Industry (SGI) consider as their stakeholder, which stakeholders they give priority to others and why. The present study is exploratory. A list of sports goods manufacturers in Meerut was procured from the Federation of sports goods manufacturers. The total number of manufacturers as per the list was 356. With the help of a simple random sampling technique, 50 were selected for a pilot study, and 100 for the final study. The required information obtained using a structured interview schedule. There are nine interest groups identified by the SGI Meerut. These are - customers, suppliers, competitors, governments, partners, communities, owners, investors and labor. Out of the recognized interest groups in SGI Meerut, customers top the list of preference. There is a need of accommodating stakeholders concerns in business.

The main purpose of the study was to determine the extent of adoption of four crops cultivation pattern by the farmers, to determine the factors influenced by the farmers in adopting four crops cultivation pattern and to explore the relationships between nine selected characteristics of the farmers with their adoption of four crops cultivation pattern. Data were collected from a sample of 104 farmers (out of 400) selected by simple random sampling procedure from Baragoan and Nargun union under Thakurgaon Sadar upazila of Thakurgaon district. A pretested and structured interview schedule was used to collect data from the respondents during 15 September to 15 October, 2016. The highest proportion (75.0 percent) of the farmers had medium adoption of four crops cultivation pattern, while 23.1 and 1.9 percent of them had high and low adoption of four crops cultivation pattern respectively. The major factor influenced the farmers were “four crop cultivation is profitable’’, followed by “four crop cultivation is very important for food security.’’ Government subsidies are available when faced with the loss of crops, timely receipt of NGO loans and provides food for cattle had ranked last three positions. Correlation analyses indicated that among nine selected characteristics education, annual income, training received, organizational participation, extension media contact and agricultural knowledge had positive significant relationships with their adoption of four crops cultivation pattern. However, age, family size, and farm size of the farmers had no significant relationships with their adoption of four crops cultivation pattern.

This study was conducted in Siddhaur block of Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh in 2020-2021. With the help of random sampling method, 120 Mentha growers were selected and data were collected by personal interview method by using pre-tested interview schedule and later appropriate statistical analysis was done to find out the meaningful result. The finding of the study revealed that the overall level of knowledge of mentha growers regarding the recommended practices indicated they have medium knowledge level. The Adoption level of mentha growers on recommended cultivation practices of mentha also indicated as medium level of adoption (66.70%), followed by low level of adoption (21.70%) and high level of adoption (11.60%).

The present study on “Entrepreneurial behaviour of turmeric growers” was conducted in Washim district of Maharashtra state with the objective to study the entrepreneurial behaviour of the turmeric growers. The exploratory research design of social research was used. In all, 120 respondents were selected by random sampling method. The data were collected by personally interviewing the respondents with the help of structured interview schedule. After analysis it was observed that majority of respondents (40.00%) possess medium entrepreneurial behaviour. The results of the co-relation co-efficient between entrepreneurial behaviour of respondents and their profile results which clearly indicates that selected characteristics of turmeric growers i.e. Land holding, annual income, and knowledge had positive and significant relationship at 0.01 level of probability with entrepreneurial behaviour whereas, area under turmeric crop, extension contact and scientific orientation had positive significant relationship at 0.05, percent level of probability with entrepreneurial behaviour of turmeric growers. While age, farming experience, source of irrigation had negative and non-significant relationship with entrepreneurial behaviour.

The aim of this paper is to analyse the impact of working environment on job satisfaction of port trusts employees. A well structured interview schedule was used to collect the primary data and proportionate random sampling method was used to select the respondents. The study found that there is a significant difference between the satisfaction of employees of V.O.C. and Chennai port trusts with regard to working environment.
