The qualitative study aims at presenting the results of figurative languages and moral interpretations of A Million Dreams songs. From the analysis, it was indicated that there were eleven types of fig-urative languages and two moral values interpreted from the song. The details of figurative language analysis are 13 imageries (20,6%), 4 personifications (6,3%), 2 paradoxes (3,7%), 14 symbols (22,22%), 6 idioms (9,52%), 9 hyperboles (14,28%), 8 repetitions (12,69%), 1 simile (1,58%), 1 met-aphor (1,58%), 1 assonance (1,58%), and 6 consonances (9,52%). Meanwhile, the moral values were about (1) it was important for young people to have visions for a better future lives; and (2) having companions who could be a place for sharing was valuable. In short, as being comprehended that figurative languages and moral values are two educative elements in songs, the researcher expected that the results of this study would bring significances to the target readers.

There is growing interest in the development of measures and indexes of youth wellbeing. However, there has been a limited discussion on indicators to measure and select them. This paper reports on the results of a qualitative study on the selection of indicators to measure the wellbeing of young people in South Africa, and reflects on the relevance of the content of their values in choosing indicators for measuring their wellbeing. The data used in this analysis is based on telephone (9) and email (6) interviews conducted with 15 young people (male=5, female=10) aged 22 to 32 from five South African cities during July 2010. In the interviews, participants were asked to identify five issues they considered important to their lives, after which they were asked to rank them in order of importance. The issues indicated by the participants are described and discussed in six dimensions: economic, relationships, spiritual and health, education, time use and material. The indicators developed from this study are discussed in terms of their relevance for use in a measure of youth wellbeing in South Africa.

This study is aimed at describing lecturers’ strategies to internalize Islamic values and students’ response toward the strategies. This a descriptive-qualitative study. The participants were 40 students of English education program and 3 English lecturers. All participants were given questionnaire and 3 students and 3 lecturers were interviewed. The data showed that all lecturers did internalize the Islamic values such as aqidah, worship, and moral values in the English learning preparation, process, and evaluation. However, students requested that the lecturers should consistently became the role model, performed positive habit, and gave best learning service so that the impact of internalizing Islamic values would be significantly and positively received.

The aim of this study is to analyze the types of figurative language which found in Ugly Love novel by Colleen Hoover. This study used figurative language theory by Leech to analyze the data which the researcher found in the novel. The method of this study is descriptive qualitative method. The total of the data are 87 data to be analyzed in the types of figurative language. The data will be identify and classify into 8 types of figurative language by Leech. The result of this study found 6 types of figurative language in this Ugly Love novel. That are 33 data of personifications (33 data) , 19 data of similes, 11 data of irony, 10 data of hyperbole, 9 data of metaphors, and 5 data of metonymy. The most of dominant type of figurative language in the Ugly Love novel by Colleen Hoover is personification.

Based on Roberto Saviano's book Gomorra (2006), production of the TV series Gomorra – La serie (2014) was met with scepticism as many feared it would glamorise organised crime and, consequently, attract young people toward Camorra affiliation. The series' bleak portrayal of criminals and criminality was offered as a response to such concerns. Despite the preoccupations, Gomorra – La serie was hugely successful and, because of its quality, was sold to other countries. In Italy, the series' success can be measured by the popularity of its Twitter hashtag #GomorraLaSerie. Engaged with Henry Jenkins' theories of media convergence and based on a corpus of tweets bearing this official hashtag, this article proposes a quantitative analysis and advances conclusions regarding the Italian TV audience and second-screen viewing practices. Additionally, through a qualitative study of Saviano's tweets about the series, it examines the writer's use of the social media platform as a tool of narrative continuity. Finally, the article highlights a few examples of fan-generated media and concludes with remarks regarding Saviano's problematic position at the centre of a transmedia object.

Background:Although patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are widely used in clinical practice and research, it is unclear if these instruments adequately cover the perspective of young people (18-35 years) with inflammatory arthritis (IA). We recently performed focus groups on PROMs with 53 young IA patients from 4 European countries, but the perspective of these patients has never been explored on a large scale.Objectives:To explore personal experience, opinions and beliefs of young people with IA across Europe concerning PROMs content, characteristics and ways of administration in order to inform EULAR points to consider (PtC) for including the perspective of young patients with IA into PROMs.Methods:Based on the results of our previous qualitative study, a task force including patients, rheumatologists and health professionals developed an online survey. The survey covered personal experience, preferences and opinions concerning PROMs. After being pilot tested and revised accordingly, the survey was distributed through the EULAR people with arthritis and rheumatism in Europe (PARE), Young PARE networks and the Emerging EULAR Network (EMEUNET).Results:547 people (88% females) from 29 countries aged 18-35 years with a diagnosis of juvenile idiopathic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, Still’s disease, psoriatic arthritis or spondyloarthritis completed the survey (Figure 1). Thirty-seven percent of respondents reported they never filled a PROM. A North-South and West-East Europe gradient was observed (30.4% vs 56.3% and 25.5% vs 58.8% respectively). Figure 2 outlines key findings of our survey. Among respondents having filled PROMs (n=313), two thirds perceived their access to PROM results useful for self-management of their health. Discomfort while filling PROMs was an issue for nearly half of the respondents, as questions were perceived as scaring or not relevant. This discomfort, the fear of judgement, or inadequate assessed time frames were major reasons for difficulties in translating the health experience into a rating scale. Still 75% use their own experience in the past as reference. Among several reasons, people scored differently from what they felt to emphasize how much better or worse they felt from previous assessment. Concerning preferences of numerical rating scales (NRS) or visual analogue scales (VAS) explored in all respondents regardless having ever filled in PROMs, those in favour of VAS mainly reasoned this by having more possibilities to select and those favouring NRS by better readability and interpretation. Maintaining a sitting position, preparing food, doing physical activity, intimacy and sleep problems were the items selected most frequently in the survey as in the qualitative study to be included in PROMs. The implementation of discussion on self-management, education/work and support possibilities at regular clinic visits was considered important by over 60% of responders. Overall, electronic capturing of PROMs was preferred over paper-based questionnaires (57% vs 13%).Conclusion:Our survey explored for the first time the personal experience and opinions of young people with IA concerning PROMs on a large scale and confirmed the results obtained in the qualitative study. This survey informed the EULAR PtC for including the perspective of young patients with IA into PROMs.References:[1] Mosor E et al.
