AbstrakPenelitian ini mengambil karya sastra seni peran Mak Yong sebagai objek penelitian dan pokok masalah yang menjadi penelitian berkaitan dengan penyebaran fungsi tokoh cerita rakyat Mak Yong, berdasarkan teori strukturalisme Vlademir Propp, karena pembahasan terhadap karya sastra lama tersebut masih tergolong sedikit dan teori Vladimir Propp belum pernah diuji dalam cerita rakyat Mak Yong oleh peneliti sebelumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pustaka, metode deskripsi dan metode struktural, karena berdasarkan metode tersebut dapat segera dikemukakan hasil penelitian, disertai pertanggungjawaban mengenai alasan pemilihan metode tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian (1) fungsi pelaku menjadi unsur yang stabil dan tetap di dalam sebuah cerita tanpa memandang bagaimana dan siapa yang melakukannya, (2) fungsi pelaku yang diketahui jumlahnya terbatas, (3) urutan fungsi pelaku di dalam cerita rakyat selalu sama dan (4) sebuah cerita rakyat memiliki kesamaan jika dipandang dari struktural. Kesimpulannya, hasil penelitian yang ditemui dalam cerita rakyat Mak Yong tidak ada perbedaan antara hasil penelitian fungsi pelaku menurut Vladimir Propp. Kata kunci: morfologi, foklor, Mak Yong  AbstractThis research took the literary work of art of the role of Mak Yong as the research object and the subject matter of the research related to the deployment of the function figure folklore Mak Yong, based on the theory of structuralism Vlademir Propp, for a discussion of the work of old literature is still quite a bit and the theory of Vladimir Propp has not been tested in folklore Mak Yong by previous researchers. This study uses literature, method descriptions and structural methods, as based on the method can be immediately presented results of the study, along with the accountability of the reasons for the selection of the method. Based on the results of the study (1) the function of the perpetrator becomes an element that is stable and remains in a story regardless of how and who did it, (2) the function of the perpetrators are known to a limited number, (3) the order of the functions actors in folklore is always the same and ( 4) a folklore have in common when viewed from the structural. In conclusion, the results encountered in folklore Mak Yong is no difference between the results of research actors function according to Vladimir Propp.  Key words: morphology, folklore, and Mak Yong

Abstract Option of defect is an important theory regulated in Omani Civil Law. It gives the injured party in bilateral contracts an option to rescind the contract if they find a defect in the subject matter of the contract. This theory is deemed a legal basis to refuse objects of sale by tender. In particular, it is useful when a guarantee that is given to the governmental body is insufficient to cover damages, due to bad performance of the contract. This article discusses how the option of defect is applied to sale by tender in Omani law.

The precise role of microglia in stroke and cerebral ischemia has been the subject of debate for a number of years. Microglia are capable of synthesizing numerous soluble and membrane-bound biomolecules, some known to be neuroprotective, some neurotoxic, whereas others have less definitive bioactivities. The molecular mechanisms through which microglia activate these molecules have thus become an important area of ischemia research. Here we provide a survey review that summarizes the key actions of microglial factors in cerebral ischemia including complement proteins, chemokines, pro-inflammatory cytokines, neurotrophic factors, hormones, and proteinases, as well several important messenger molecules that play a part in how these factors respond to extracellular signals during ischemic injuries. We also provide some new perspectives on how microglial intracellular signaling may contribute to the seemingly contradictory roles of several microglial effector molecules.

Colour studies have generated much confusion in art and design education, particularly among students of the discipline in Nigeria. This is due to the complexity of the subject matter itself, wide-range of available materials and a variety of concepts developed in its multi-disciplinarity that is not kept distinct. Therefore, this paper utilizes a qualitative approach that employs the critical, historical, and analytic examination to provide clarification on the constructive and expressive aspects of colour studies. The paper introduces the reader to the pivotal role of colour and its multi-disciplinary interest. Also, it adequately clarifies paradigms and theories in the physical, psychophysical and psychological domains with particular emphasis on areas of practical value to art and design. Moreover, it considers the numeric adaptation of the colour wheel to a set of numbers for harmonic relationship. And it ends with the need for artists and designers to comprehensively grasp the contextual behaviour of colour and develop colour originality through creative construction and effective use in order to successfully express themselves in colour.

The object of interest in this sketch is an analysis of the vocabulary indicating selected elements of the world of fauna and fl ora in Symbolika wiosenna (Spring symbolism) by Stefania Ulanowska (Kraków 1884). The collected language material is characterised by wealth and complexity of the subject matter. The indicated vocabulary has not been characterised yet. This paper employs elements of the cognitivist description of language. The selection of this method enables depiction of the relation between linguistic knowledge and encyclopaedic knowledge. Language becomes an indispensible element of mental processes of the perception of the world (Tokarski 1995; Miodunka 1980). The analysis of the excerpted material clearly shows that the discussed spring symbolism usually invokes, contrary to the prototype, the semantic fi eld related to ‘śmierć’ (death) rather than ‘życie’ (life). The reconstructed image of the folk idea of spring largely deviates from the ideas established in the consciousness of language users in general, which is confi rmed by the discussed examples. It presents unit connotations that are individualised and present in the consciousness of members of small rural communities of those times. Abstract The authors of the current study undertook the subject of the analysis features of the mining rescuer as a member of the ranks of the rescue, with particular emphasis on the following parameters: heart rate, body weight, height, BMI, age and seniority in the mining and rescue. This publication concerns the analysis of the test results of these characteristics rescuer as a potential member of the ranks of the rescue, taking into account its risk appetite, stress resistance, attitude towards life, the role of the team, teamwork, attitude to work, motivation to work and physical fitness.

The paper attempts to deconstruct the leadership phenomenon, with emphasis on competencies needed by leaders to thrive in turbulent situations. Leadership has been a topic that has garnered a lot of interest from researchers over the years and as a result of this, there are significant number of literatures on the subject matter. However, there have been discrepancies in definition on the role of leaders, specifically on leadership styles and which style of leadership can be considered the best for all situations. The purpose of the article is to provide scientific rationale of the place and role of financial leasing in financial and credit support for investment activities of enterprises. The subject matter of the research includes various aspects of the current state of financial leasing and ways of its advancement in Ukraine. The article provides an analysis of investment activities based on the volume of investments in Ukraine and determines the role of financial leasing as a funding for investment resources of enterprises. The paper also examines the legal and regulatory framework for financial leasing operations and highlights different interpretations of this form of financing as well as its formal indicators. An analysis of statistical data on the financial and credit market provides important insights into trends of financial leasing contracts and the volume of loans issued to corporate borrowers, and thus makes it possible to conclude that there is a lack of leasing operations in business activities of entities. The point is mainly supported by the fact that financial leasing contracts which have been made lately are not widespread enough after the crisis in 2014. The dynamics of changes in the volume of leasing contracts by dates of signing is considered, and it is found that there is a tendency to shortening the duration of financial leasing services. An industry factor of providing financial leasing services is taken into consideration and the main industries where these services are widespread are described. The existing approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of leasing contracts are systematized. The key challenges that hinder the growth of leasing in Ukraine are identified. The research methods used in the article include: analysis, synthesis and abstraction (for forming the rationale and developing the terminological and conceptual framework of the study); comparison, systematization and logical generalization (for examining the concept of financial leasing, its legal regulation and specific features of using in Ukraine); statistical, structural and comparative analysis (for exploring ways of advancement of financial leasing in Ukraine).

Abstract Selection of a sterilization modality for a medical device is a critical decision that requires sterility assurance subject matter experts (SME)s to work collaboratively with various company functions. The sterility assurance SME is responsible and accountable for the sterilization modality decision for a product. The modality selection process starts with the sterility assurance SME partnering with research and development to ensure that the sterilization modality allows the device to deliver its intended function in patient care. After the sterilization modality is selected, the sterility assurance SME needs to work with other partners, including quality, supply chain/logistics, operations, and regulatory, to ensure that the selected sterilization modality is appropriately integrated into the end-to-end process. Collaborative partnerships between sterility assurance experts and key partners regarding sterilization modality selection reduce the potential for negative impacts within the end-to-end sterility assurance process, including impacts on product functionality, increased regulatory approval timelines, and inefficiencies and risks throughout the supply chain. This article describes aspects of a comprehensive approach to sterilization modality selection, including critical information necessary to address each of the key considerations.

Carlos Lechuga’s film Santa y Andrés (2016) has enjoyed worldwide acclaim as an intimate, dramatic portrayal of the unlikely friendship that develops in rural Cuba between Andrés, a gay dissident writer, and Santa, the militant citizen who has been sent to surveil him. Declared to be extreme and/or inaccurate in its historical depictions, the film was censored in Cuba and was the subject of intense controversy and public polemics surrounding its release in 2016. Debates about the film’s subject matter and its censorship extend ongoing disagreement over the role of art within the Cuban Revolution, and the changing nature of the Cuban film industry itself. This dossier brings together new scholarship on Santa y Andrés and is linked to an online archive of some of the original essays that have been written about the film by Cuban critics and filmmakers since 2016. The aim of this project is to create a starting point for researchers who wish to investigate Santa y Andrés, evaluating the film both for its contentious initial reception, and in terms of its enduring contribution to the history of Cuban cinema.

Prior to Namibia's independence in 1990, the role of the teacher in an educational environment has been defined as the transmission of information to students, and the teacher was regarded as the all-knowing person in the classroom, who slavishly followed the textbook in transmitting the subject matter to the students. In some cases, the teacher did not understand the subject matter that he/she transmitted to students. Therefore, there was no explanation of what was being taught. Students had to sit passively and listen to the teacher; learn by memorization (rote learning), and recall the transmitted information. This study explored perceptions of the role of teachers and students in learner-centered classrooms in a primary school in Namibia. Learner-centered teachers create learning environments that promote students' active engagement with learning and develop critical thinking skills.
