Fashion was a contemporary phenomenon that increasingly developed to meet the needs of users in its digital industry era. The rapid development of fashion has made the industry compete to present the latest fashions faster and faster. The support and advances of the Internet in communication technology have helped to accelerate the spread of power through virtual networks. Digital media have brought people into a new experience, namely "post-reality", that had never existed. This study focuses on fashion consumption in the form of clothes with a fast production scale or fast-fashion along with low costs, as well as sneakers that were consumed by young people. One hundred and twenty-nine students at five universities in West Java Indonesia have interviewed. Using a qualitative method which was supported by the summary of the distribution of questionnaires, conducted throughout 2019 and early 2020, the results of this study were then analyzed using Guy Debord's theory of spectacle society. The study has found that the consumption of fast fashion and sneakers by students had an impact on their spending patterns, self-identity, self-confidence, and the role of the user as a commodity spectacle in today's fashion industry.

The role of digital technology in shaping attention and cognitive development has been at the centre of public discourse for decades. The current review presents findings from three main bodies of literature on the implications of technology use for attention and cognitive control: television, video games, and digital multitasking. The aim is to identify key lessons from prior research that are relevant for the current generation of digital users. In particular, the lack of scientific consensus on whether digital technologies are good or bad for children reflects that effects depend on users’ characteristics, the form digital technologies take, the circumstances in which use occurs and the interaction between the three factors. Some features of digital media may be particularly problematic, but only for certain users and only in certain contexts. Similarly, individual differences mediate how, when and why individuals use technology, as well as how much benefit or harm can be derived from its use. The finding emerging from the review on the large degree of heterogeneity in associations is especially relevant due to the rapid development and diffusion of a large number of different digital technologies and contents, and the increasing variety of user experiences. We discuss the importance of leveraging existing knowledge and integrating past research findings into a broader organizing framework in order to guide emerging technology-based research and practice. We end with a discussion of some of the challenges and unaddressed issues in the literature and propose directions for future research.

The rapid development of technology today should be the main key in efforts to develop students' abilities and skills in the field of education and the learning process in dealing with the world of technology and information. The support and role of education is expected to increase the nation's competitiveness in the midst of global competition. The openness of information technology should be balanced with the progress of good reading literacy, but in Indonesia in particular, reading literacy skills for children are still at the bottom. Therefore, the development of digital literacy is expected to be a benchmark and a supporting factor in the development of student knowledge that can be accessed by digital media around the environment such as mobile phones, computers, laptops, etc. This article proposes a new conceptual framework for the concept of digital literacy, combining five types of literacy: (a) photovisual literacy; (b) reproductive literacy; (c) information literacy; (d) branched literacy; and (e) socio-emotional literacy that can support knowledge development.

As the price of clothing continues to globally decline, demand and consumption rise in tandem. This relationship between mass production and consumption has earned the title “fast fashion” as it values efficiency and inexpensive manufacturing methods and materials. The environmental costs however, of producing, consuming and ultimately discarding so much clothing is unparalleled. Although there is growing pressure on the industry to engage in more socially and environmentally-responsible practices, this pressure does not in any fundamental way contradict the logic of consumer capitalism. The following research project places the responsibility and agency of conscious consumer behaviour back into the hands of individuals in hopes of disrupting the cycle of mass production and consumption. Leveraging the power and influence of social media, this project reflects upon the current role of Instagram as a propagator of consumer culture and reimagines it as a catalyst for mindful purchasing behaviour among the female millennial demographic.
