Mobile phones have been important Electronic devices in our life. Consequently, Home automation and security system becomes one of the prominent futures on mobile devices. In this paper, we have developed the android application that interfaces with the security system using wifi direct technology. The wifi technology is relatively new as compared to other technologies and there is huge potential of its growth and practical application. The android application loaded on mobile devices, can connect with security system and easy to use GUI. The application developed to command lock, unlock or video monitoring of the home. The security system then acts on these command and responds to the user. The CMOS camera and the motion detector are attached with security system for remote surveillance.

House Management System (HMS) is an architecture designedfor home automation, which aims to structure the integration of computer programs to control electronic devices through the Internet from mobile devices. Feitosa Jr. et al. (2010) developed an implementation of this architecture using the Java platform, but concluded that the control of electronic devices from different manufacturers and the communication with devices using networks computer technologies distinct require a large implementation effort, if followed the guidelines of the architecture. In thiscontext, this paper describes adaptations in this architecture that allow a bigger opennessto facilitate the integration between eletronic devices and distinct networktechnologies. It also presents implementation details to prove the viability of these adjustments

Home automation is an automated system created specifically to facilitate the work of humans, especially at home. Home Automation connects electronic devices to each other in a home that is integrated using the internet network and allows it to be controlled via android smartphone and web client (server). On android smartphone installed applications that have been connected with Arduino microcontroller and Ethernet shield. In this research for controlling or retrieving data via Ethernet network the easiest is Arduino serve as server and we can request and arrange data through web client or android application then data will be sent using protocol User Datagram Protocol (UDP). So to control the electronic devices can be done from a considerable distance as long as connected to the internet.

In modern era home automation plays a vital role because of its high precision and flexibility in using it at different places to save time, energy as well as money by falling down human effort. Key application of the certain technology is about providing a control of the house hold appliances/devices as per selected and directed by the registered user. This work encompasses meticulous information about “Home Automation and security system using GSM module”, Arduino & Android application. The estimate about the number of person available into the room will be improvised whenever the person will enter into the house. According to the double modes i.e. the home automation mode and a security mode the system will act. As in the home automation mode the controlling or appliances/devices will be performed and in security mode the alarm will start ringing. The display will be used to visualize the count about the person exist into that room. In automation approach whenever the chamber will get vacant as the sum total will be zero the light will get “turned OFF” designing the as system power proficient. Furthermore, the person is capable of controlling the home machines/devices by employing his/her cell-phone far away from the home which results in reduction of human effort. For the similar instance of time as the person will arrive into the chamber the alert message will directed to the user’s cell-phone using GSM module. The alarm can be controlled via cell-phone Android apps to TURN ON or to TURN OFF it.

This paper presents a new and competitive smart home system in intelligent buildings based on wireless home automation networks (WHANs). Our designed system has three layers: ultimate controller, data transmission network, and wireless sensor networks. The merits of our system include two folds: 1) it is easy to be adopted in our home without any changing our existing electronic devices; 2) unlike other independent subsystem, the whole-sale functions of smart system are integrated into our system, it can perform well from many anticipant applications. The efficacy of our designed system is proven by practical application environment.

The purpose of this research is to design home automation system that can be controlled using voice commands. This research was conducted by studying other research related to the topics in this research, discussing with competent parties, designing systems, testing systems, and conducting analyzes based on tests that have been done. In this research voice recognition system was designed using Deep Learning Convolutional Neural Networks (DL-CNN). The CNN model that has been designed will then be trained to recognize several kinds of voice commands. The result of this research is a speech recognition system that can be used to control several electronic devices connected to the system. The speech recognition system in this research has a 100% success rate in room conditions with background intensity of 24dB (silent), 67.67% in room conditions with 42dB background noise intensity, and only 51.67% in room conditions with background intensity noise 52dB (noisy). The percentage of the success of the speech recognition system in this research is strongly influenced by the intensity of background noise in a room. Therefore, to obtain optimal results, the speech recognition system in this research is more suitable for use in rooms with low intensity background noise.

The increase in computing capabilities of mobile devices has, in the last few years, made possible a plethora of complex operations performed from smartphones and tablets end users, for instance, from a bank transfer to the full management of home automation. Clearly, in this context, the detection of malicious applications is a critical and challenging task, especially considering that the user is often totally unaware of the behavior of the applications installed on their device. In this paper, we propose a method to detect inter-app communication i.e., a colluding communication between different applications with data support to silently exfiltrate sensitive and private information. We based the proposed method on model checking, by representing Android applications in terms of automata and by proposing a set of logic properties to reduce the number of comparisons and a set of logic properties automatically generated for detecting colluding applications. We evaluated the proposed method on a set of 1092 Android applications, including different colluding attacks, by obtaining an accuracy of 1, showing the effectiveness of the proposed method.

AbstractThe article is devoted to researching the practical application of the magnetoelectric effect for the development of energy harvesting devices, in particular for the design of magnetoelectric synchronous generator. The energy harvesting devices are designed to provide by the energy of remote or nonvolatile electronic devices that don’t require the high power consumption. General dimensions of the generator were as follows: diameter of 12 cm, thickness of 2.4 cm. The model of generator comprising eight ME elements with dimensions of one element of 40×10×0.5 mm at the frequency of the alternating magnetic field of 38 Hz provides the output constant voltage of 1.12 V and current of 3.82 microamps. Variable voltage before the rectifier was of 1.7 V. Total generated power was of 4.28 µW. The studies of resonant and non-resonant mode of ME element were carried out. Resonance mode of ME element provides a much greater output power. Designed generator can be applied in the construction of wind power sets, hydrogenerators, turbogenerators and other power generation equipment.

In previous project we made a home automation system, where we can control our appliances through Blynk app and Google assistant with the help of IFTTT. As an extension we will provide feedback to user whether the appliance is on or off. We will also use sensors like LDR for measuring light intensity in this project to make it smart. We will also include security system where in we have sensors to doors and windows and give buzzer along with an alert message to the user. On a whole we will provide a smart home automation system.
