With the rapid development of marine exploration, the scale of offshore structures is getting large. It makes the slipways of marine construction site under critical bearing capacity and results in high-risk. Accurate evaluation of load responses of slipways can ensure the safety during construction and launching process and make use of them efficiently. Focusing on the issue, APDL technique is used in this paper to assessing mechanical performance of slab of the heavy slipway with maximum building capacity currently. Unfavorable live load distribution and contact conditions of panels are demonstrated under various serving conditions.

Mobile computing technology has an enormous potential in civil engineering, mainly in the field of construction management. This paper presents an approach by using mobile computing in a civil engineering construction project, exploring how information can be exchanged at a construction site, and how billing of quantities (BOQ), drawings and specifications are shared for the benefit of the project. One of the major obstacles in using information technology (IT) when applied to civil engineering is due to the dynamic changes in the construction activities and the diversity of construction methods as compared to other industries. This has proved to be a great disadvantage when trying to give construction sites adequate IT support. Computers require infrastructure, which can be transferred easily to the head office, but rarely to the construction site itself in a systematic way. Therefore, the impact of IT on the way the construction industry actually works has not been significantly utilized. This paper consists of two main parts. The first part defines the concept of mobile computing, describes some recent research, and stresses the potential for the construction industry. The second part is focuses on an approach, implementing mobile computing in a real construction site.

With the improvement of the social and economic level, the quality of people's lives has been significantly improved, and environmental protection has gradually attracted people's attention. Environmental protection projects have developed rapidly in this environment. In order to further improve the environmental protection effect of the project construction, it is necessary to do a good job of control and management of the construction site. Judging from the current situation, there are still many problems in China's environmental protection engineering construction site management. Based on this, this article analyzes the deficiencies in the field management of environmental protection projects and proposes corresponding solutions, hoping to promote the overall level of environmental protection projects.
