ABSTRACT Aim of the study Complete rehabilitation of a 38-year-old female patient with radiation caries and xerostomia postirradiation therapy for the treatment of carcinoma of esophagus, by a multidisciplinary approach involving specialties of periodontics, endodontics and prosthodontics. Summary This 38-year-old female patient presented with missing teeth, ill fitting prosthesis, radiation caries and xerostomia as a consequence of radiation therapy. In addition, the patient was severely psychologically affected not just due to the carcinoma, but also due to the adverse effects of cancer therapy. Therefore, rehabilitation of such a patient was aimed not just at careful oral reconstruction of lost and damaged structures but also towards providing a boost to her self-esteem. The outcome of this multidisciplinary approach led to a completely wellrehabilitated patient, both orally as well as psychologically.

Associated with pregnancy is breast cancer, which was first detected during pregnancy, during the first year after childbirth or at any time against lactation. Diagnosis of the disease in the first trimester is an indication for abortion. The detection of the disease after 20 weeks and the desire of the woman to maintain pregnancy is the basis for conducting a total mastectomy followed by polychemotherapy with doxorubicin with cyclophosphamide or with fluorouracil. Radiation therapy during pregnancy is not applied. The timing and method of delivery are determined individually and depend on the stage of the process and the period of pregnancy, when it was identified. A clinical case of a patient with edematous-infiltrative form of breast cancer of the IV stage, diagnosed for the first time in 22 weeks of pregnancy, is presented.

Teratoma is a germ cell tumor, which consists of derivatives of three germ layers and has various malignant potentials – from benign mature forms to immature embryonic forms with a somatic type of malignancy. Even the mature type of teratoma is biologically unpredictable providing for an ability to grow locally with invasion. Necessity for complete removal of tumors, wherever they are located, is explained by the fact that there is a risk of a possible development of growing teratoma syndrome or transformation into malignant tumors. This article describes the clinical case of growing teratoma syndrome of mediastinal localization in a teenager with Klinefelter syndrome, also as an example of the multidisciplinary approach of pediatric oncologists, surgeons, radiotherapists and pathomorphologists in decision-making for optimal treatment. The patients' parents gave their consent to the use of their child's data, including photographs, for research purposes and in publications.

Radiation damage to the rectum is the most common complication in radiation therapy of malignancies of pelvic organs. Clinical manifestations of chronic radiation proctitis can occur both 3 months after completion of therapy and decades later. Late radiation injuries to the intestine often has a persistent course, drug treatment is prolonged and repeated, in severe cases surgical treatment is required. The article presents literature data on pathophysiology, clinical picture, diagnostics and possibilities of treating this pathology. A clinical case reflecting the progressive course of the disease is described.
