Research purpose to: (1) determine the level of need for the critical reading module of exposition text with reflective learning in grade VIII of junior high school; (2) produce a critical reading module for exposition text with reflective learning in grade VIII of junior high school that students can use to learn; (3) test the feasibility of the critical reading module of exposition text with reflective learning in grade VIII of junior high school. This research is a research and development designed with R2D2 (Recursive, Reflective Design and Development Model). The data in this study are qualitative and quantitative data from expert and practitioner tests. Qualitative data are sourced from comments, criticisms, and suggestions from expert and practitioner ratings of the module. Quantitative data is sourced from expert and practitioner assessments of module components. The data analysis technique of this research is qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. This research and development resulted in the product of the Critical Text Exposition Reading Module with a ReflectiveApproach in Grade VIII of Junior High School which was assessed by experts and practitioners. The results of expert and practitioner assessments of the module indicate that the assessment in the category is very feasible. The critical reading module of exposition text with a reflective approach was declared very feasible to improve critical reading skills as well as providing knowledge about exposition text to students of grade VIII junior high school.

This research was aimed to develop appropriate, interesting and attractive speaking media in teaching descriptive text for seventh grade students of MTsS UMMI Lubuk Pakam. Due to the result in the form of product, this study was categorized as Research and Development (R & D) study which adapted from Borg and Gall (1989) theory with some modifications. The subject of this study was the seventh grade students of MTsS UMMI Lubuk Pakam. In conducting this research, the procedures were gathering the data and information, conducting the need analysis, designing the first draft of media, revising the media, and producing the final product as the meme comic. The instruments of collecting data were the combination of two strategies; interview and questionnaires. The interview result was analyzed as qualitative data and the questionnaires analyzed as quantitative data. These data were needs of students covering target needs and learning needs. This study developed speaking media which only focused on descriptive text taught in the odd semester. Muhammadiyah 1 junior high school Depok hold a tadarus to read the Koran every Friday. However, the method applied is not appropriate and not right with the interests of students. Even students do not understand the various methods of reading the Koran. This is where researchers apply the intrinsic criticism method with the Al-Muyassar approach to improve the ability to read the Qur’an in this student of Muhammadiyah 1 junior high school Depok. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collected includes primary data. And the study population was all students of the Muhammadiyah 1 junior high school Depok of grade eight . Data analysis in this study was observed by students and students of Muhammadiyah 1 junior high school Depok. And the results of this study will be used as a reference to implement the method of reading Almuyassar's intrinsic criticism in the Muhammadiyah 1 junior high school Depok.

This research was aimed to enhance students’ speaking skill at eight grade students of Islamic Junior High School Sawit Seberang, Langkat Regency. The subject of this research was a class consisted of 40 students. The research consisted of two cycles. Each cycles consisted of two meetings. The object of this research was to enhance students’ speaking skill by the use of Ice Breaker strategy. This research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research. Qualitative and Quantitative data were used in this research. The qualitative data while the quantitative data were taken from students’ score in Pre-Test, Post Test I, and Post-Test II. The result of analyzing data indicated that there was significance enhancement on students’ speaking skill after the use of Ice Breaker strategy. It can be seen from the students’ score in every cycle. In Pre-Test, there were only 30% (12 students) whose score up to 75. In Post-Test I, there was 52.5% on the percentage of students whose score up 75 (21 students), while in Post-Test II there were 80% students whose score up 75 (32 students). From data analysis, it showed that there was enhancement on students’ speaking skill. It can be seen from the mean of Post-Test II was 80.3. In other words, students’ speaking skill has enhanced. Based on the qualitative data, the students gave good responses and showed enthusiasm after the use of Ice Breaker strategy in speaking skill.

The study aimed to develop volleyball basic technique using games approach. The game help students to create a sport is more interesting. A study used to research and development using Borg and Gall method. There are ten steps in research. Process of collecting data used observation, interview, test, and questionnaire. Data analysis used peer assessment and judgment expert. The study conducted in Junior High School Palembang. The results of the findings show that the basic technique of volleyball consists of 6 types namely passing down, passing up, service down, service up, volleyball block, and smash. Each type of basic technique taught has different variations of the game which are oriented to the needs and characteristics of volleyball. The results of the study have implications for changes in the concept of learning sports, especially volleyball.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran statistika SMP dengan pendekatan saintifik, meliputi rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) dan lembar kegiatan siswa (LKS) yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan mengacu model pengembangan Borg & Gall. Sebagai sumber data, dilibatkan enam orang siswa kelas IX, 56 siswa kelas VII, dan tiga orang guru SMP Negeri 1 Tulang Bawang Udik, Provinsi Lampung. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar validasi, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar penilaian kepraktisan oleh siswa, lembar keterbacaan, lembar penilaian kepraktisan oleh guru, dan instrumen kefektifan perangkat pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengkonversi total skor data kuantitatif yang diperoleh menjadi data kualitatif skala lima. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa RPP dan LKS sangat valid. Hasil Penilaian guru menunjukkan bahwa produk mencapai kriteria sangat praktis dan hasil penilaian siswa menunjukkan bahwa RPP dan LKS sangat praktis. Hasil pengisian angket keterbacaan siswa menunjukkan LKS sangat jelas dan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran 96%. Hasil penilaian hasil belajar aspek sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan melebihi 75%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa RPP dan LKS memenuhi kriteria efektif. Secara keseluruhan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa RPP dan LKS  statistika SMP dengan pendekatan saintifik memenuhi kriteria: valid, praktis, dan efektif.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, statistika, pendekatan saintifik Developing statistics teaching kits for junior high school using the scientific approachAbstract This study aimed to produce statistics teaching kits for junior high school using the scientific approach, consisting of lesson plans and students’s worksheets which are valid, practical, and effective. This was a research and development study. The development procedure employed the model developed by Borg & Gall. As data resources, six students of Grade IX, 27 students of Grade VIIA, 29 students of Grade VIID, and three teachers of SMPN 1 Tulang Bawang Udik, Lampung Province were involved. The research instruments were validation sheets, observation sheets for the learning implementation, assessment sheets for the practicality according to the students, readability sheets, assessment sheets for the practicality according to the teachers, and the instruments for the effectiveness of the learning kits. The data were analyzed by converting the total scores of the collected quantitative data into the qualitative data using Likert’s scale. The results of the validation by the experts show that the product was very valid. The results of assessment by the teachers show that lesson plans and students’s worksheets were very practical and the results of assessment by the students show that students’s worksheets was very practical. The results of the readability questionnaire for the students show that the product was very clear. The results of learning implementation show that 96% accomplished. The percentage of students’ mastery learning on affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects were more than 75%. This shows that the teaching kits were effective. On the whole, the results of the study show that the teaching kits were valid, practical, and effective.Keywords: development, teaching kits, statistics, scientific approach

This study aims to determine students' response in junior high school to the development of guided discovery-based worksheets. The type of the research is Research and Development (R&D). The sample used was 28 students of class VIII in Junior High School using purposive sampling. The data was collected by providing a previously validated student response questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis, the average student response for each aspect in a row is 90.2%; 86.8%; 87.9%, with an average overall response of 88.3% with a very good category. The conclusion from this research, the worksheets can be used in learning, marked by the very good response of students to the developed guided discovery-based worksheets.

This articel aims to obtain data on non-cognitive assessment, the ability of teachers to make the rubric of non-cognitive assessment, constraints - any constraints faced by teachers in developing noncognitive instruments as well as any policy that will be done in overcoming the obstacles faced by social studies teacher in junior RSBI Padang Class VII Semester II.This type of research is descriptive research. Data obtained from document analysis, interviews and observation. Techniques of data analysis by using percentages. Data obtained from interviews with informants, the junior high school teachers who teach social studies classes RSBI VII, Chairman of the IPS MGMP Padang, three expert specialist and deputy head of the school curriculum areas.After data analysis performed, the results obtained that the number of teachers who have not done in developing and assessing the activities within the rubric of attitude assessment, student performance and products. Once analyzed by the expert assessment rubric attitude, and product performance in terms of science and the content is quite good and better in terms of the language section. Perceived obstacles to overcome problems that arise in the application of attitude assessment, and performance of the products most social studies teachers have tried various things such as: reading books / other resources relevant to teaching materials, training, seminars and follow MGMP forum, discuss in advance with Head of School before attending the training and talked about making attitude assessment rubrics, and product performance with peers.

Moral disengagement is a tendency to justify negative behaviour that is morally acceptable and minimizes the influence of others. It is supported by Bandura et al (2000) and Santrock (2003) who said that the teenagers have a tendency to not show their consistent behaviour in different moral situations. This research aimed to find out the influence of moral disengagement on classroom environment in junior high school. The research instruments used were a modified form of Moral Disengagement Instrument (MDI) and What is Happening in This Class? (WIHIC) Questionnaire. The research subject included 171 students of junior high school. The data analysis method used in testing hypothesis was regression analysis. Analysis of the data showed that there was a significant influence of moral disengagement on classroom environment in junior high school. The classroom environment was found to be influenced by moral disengagement .

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan tingkat kelayakan dan respon guru terhadap Permainan Kartu Kuartet pada materi asam basa, dan garam di SMP Negeri 9 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian dan pengembangan adalah (R&D) yang mengadopsi model pemngembangan ADDIE. Pengambilan data untuk mengetahui respon guru dengan cara memberikan angket kepada 3 Guru IPA di sekolah yang diteliti. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa Permainan Kartu Kuartet yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran ditinjau dari aspek kelayakan Bahasa 100% (sangat layak), media 100% (sangat layak) dan materi 91,66% (sangat layak), dan respon guru sebesar 81,24% terhadap Permainan Kartu Kuartet. Hal ini menunjukkan di SMP Negeri 9 Pontianak tergolong kategori sangat tinggi. Dengan demikian Permainan Kartu Kuartet dapat digunakan pada pembelajaran materi Asam Basa dan Garam sebagai media pembantu dalam pembelajaran.Kata Kunci : Kartu Kuartet, Asam Basa Garam, Kelayakan, ResponABSTRACTThis research was conducted to determine the level of feasibility and teacher response to the Quartet Card Game on acid base and salt material Junior High School 9 Pontianak. The form of research and development is (R&D) which adopts the ADDIE development model. Collecting data to determine the teacher’s response by giving a questionnaire to 3 science teachers in the schools studied. The results of data processing show that the developed quartet card game is suitable for use in learning in terms of the percentage of language feasibility of 100%, media is 100%, in the proper category and material is 91,66%, with the very feasible category, and the teacher’s response was 81,24% for the Quartet Card Game. This shows that Junior High School 9 Pontianak is in the very high category. This research was instigated by the problem in the field showing that their mathematic concept understanding ability was low at Islamic Junior High School of Al Hidayah Singingi Hilir. One of learning anternative strategy could direct to the students in increasing mathematic concept understanding ability was scoffolding learning straytegy. the research aimed at investigating whether there was or not difference mathematic concept understanding ability between students joining Scaffolding learning strategy and student joining teacher implementing based on their learning motivation at Islamic JuniorHigh School of Al Hidayah Singingi Hilir.  It was quasi experimental research with nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. Population of this research were the students at the eight grade of Islamic Junior High School of Al Hidayah Singingi Hilir. Sample of this research was used sampling purposive technique. VIII of B as experimental group was given Scaffolding learning strategy and VIII of A as the control group given teacher learning implementing.Instrument of collecting data was used decription test to measure their mathematic concept understanding and questionnaire to measure their learning motivation. Two way ANOVA was the technique of data analysis.  Based the data analysis could be concluded that         1) there was a difference student mathematic concept understanding ability joining Scaffolding learning strategy and did not joining Scaffolding learning Strategy. 2) There was no an interaction between Scaffolding learning strategy and their learning motivation toward their mathematic concept understanding abilityKeywords:  Scaffolding, Mathematic Concept Understanding Ability Student Learning, Motivation
