RESUMOObjetivo: identificar o papel dos enfermeiros no processo de educação em saúde junto aos pacientes com osteossarcoma e famíliares. Método: trata-se de estudo qualitativo, descritivo, relato de caso, com a incursão empírica junto à rotina dos enfermeiros do Instituto Nacional do Câncer (INCA). Consideram-se que participaram 20 enfermeiros que possuem relação direta com a rotina de cuidados dos pacientes com osteossarcoma. Usou-se como instrumento de coleta de dados um questionário com 11 indagações objetivas. Resultados: ressalta-se que é necessário oferecer o entendimento da realidade na prática da educação em saúde na rotina dos enfermeiros do INCA. Conclusão: conclui-se que, entre os enfermeiros do INCA e os enfermos e seus familiares há a verdadeira prática da educação em saúde justamente quando se estabelece a transmissão de conhecimentos e a melhora na qualidade de vida dos jovens assistidos com osteossarcoma. Results: it is necessary to offer the understanding of reality in the practice of health education in the routine of NCI nurses. Conclusion: it is concluded that, among the NCI nurses and the patients and their families, there is a real practice of health education, precisely when it is established the transmission of knowledge and the improvement in the quality of life of the young people assisted with osteosarcoma. Conclusión: se concluye que entre los enfermeros del INCA y los enfermos y sus familiares hay la verdadera práctica de la educación en salud justamente cuando se establece la transmisión de conocimientos y la mejora en la calidad de vida de los jóvenes asistidos con osteosarcoma. O processo educativo em saúde procura envolver os usuários e familiares na construção e significação do autocuidado, valorizado por meio do diálogo. A função da educação é formar cidadãos livres e autônomos e enfermeiro que tenha interesse pela profissão que vai além de adquirir conhecimento, ter habilidades, desempenhar bem o seu papel diante de pacientes e da comunidade. O enfermeiro tem o papel de compartilhar o conhecimento. ABSTRACTObjectives: to describe the role of nurses in the Family Health Strategy (FHE) and identify the facilities and difficulties in developing work-oriented health education. Methodology: this is about an exploratory study, from qualitative approach, performed with eight nurses working of the FHE in Cachoeiras de Macacu city, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Research meets the recommended by Resolution 196/96 and was approved by the Ethics Committee of the School of Nursing Anna Nery/UFRJ with protocol number 52/2008. To collect data, we used the structured interview, consisting of closed questions, being employed thematic content analysis to analyze the data. Result: the role of nurses in the PSF is the manager and educator, working for change in behavior of the community, to improve their quality of life. Conclusion: we emphasize the role of manager and educator that is exercised by the nurse. Despite encountering some difficulties in implementing actions to improve the quality of living, nurses use various resources according to their creativity, in view of autonomy that is inherent in the FHE. A pesquisa atende ao preconizado pela Res. 196/96 e foi aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética da Escola de Enfermagem Anna Nery/UFRJ registrado sob número de protocolo 52/2008.  Para a coleta de dados, foi utilizada a entrevista estruturada, composta por questões fechadas, sendo empregada a análise temática de conteúdos para análise dos dados. Resultado: o papel do enfermeiro no PSF é o de gerente e educador, trabalhando para a mudança de comportamento da comunidade, no sentido de melhorar sua qualidade de vida. Conclusão: destacou-se o papel de gerente e educador que é exercido pelo enfermeiro. Apesar de deparar-se com algumas dificuldades na implementação das ações para melhorar a qualidade de vida da população, os enfermeiros utilizam diversos recursos de acordo com sua criatividade, tendo em vista a autonomia que é inerente no PSF. La investigación corresponde a las recomendaciones de la Res. 196/96 y fue aprobado por el Comité de Ética de la Escuela de Enfermería Anna Nery/UFRJ con número de protocolo 52/2008. Para recopilar los datos, se utilizó la entrevista estructurada, con preguntas cerradas, se emplean análisis de contenido temático para analizar los datos. Resultado: el papel de las enfermeras en el ESF es el director y educador, trabajar por el cambio en el comportamiento de la comunidad, para mejorar su calidad de vida. Conclusión: fue destacado el papel de gestor y educador que es ejercido por la enfermera. A pesar de encontrarse con algunas dificultades en la aplicación de medidas para mejorar la calidad de vida, las enfermeras utilizan diversos recursos de acuerdo a su creatividad, a la vista de la autonomía que es inherente en el PSF. Objetivo: identificar a percepção de pacientes com doença renal crônica em hemodiálise sobre transplante renal. Método: trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, descritivo, exploratório, com 20 pacientes submetidos à hemodiálise em um hospital público por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, que, em seguida, foram transcritas e submetidas à técnica de Análise de Conteúdo na modalidade Análise Categorial. Resultados: emergiram-se as categorias << Perspectivas sobre o transplante renal >>; << Transplante renal: a chance de uma nova vida >>; << Por trás do transplante renal: incertezas e frustrações >> e << Comunicação como instrumento de cuidado >>. Conclusão: constatou-se que a percepção dos entrevistados sobre o transplante renal se relacionou à mudança de vida, garantindo sensação de liberdade em relação a outras terapias e aumento da expectativa de vida. Apresentou-se, ainda assim, para alguns entrevistados, como mais uma opção de tratamento, não sendo associado à cura e, devido aos casos de insucesso e longo tempo de espera para realizá-lo, provoca frustrações e incertezas a respeito dessa terapia. Identificou-se, também, a importância da educação em saúde, sobretudo pela Enfermagem, influenciando o esclarecimento e diminuição dos anseios diante do transplante. Method: this is a qualitative, descriptive, exploratory study, with 20 patients undergoing hemodialysis in a public hospital through semi-structured interviews, which were then transcribed and submitted to the Content Analysis technique in the Category Analysis mode. Results: the following categories emerged: << Perspectives on kidney transplantation >>; << Kidney transplantation: the chance for a new life >>; << Behind the kidney transplant: uncertainties and frustrations >> and << Communication as a care tool >>. Conclusion: it was found that the interviewees' perception of kidney transplantation was related to life change, guaranteeing a sense of freedom in relation to other therapies and increased life expectancy. It was presented, however, to some interviewees, as another treatment option, not being associated with a cure and, due to the cases of failure and long waiting time to perform it, it causes frustrations and uncertainties regarding this therapy. It was also identified the importance of health education, especially by Nursing, influencing the clarification and reduction of anxieties regarding transplantation. Resultados: surgieron las siguientes categorías: << Perspectivas sobre el trasplante de riñón >>; << Trasplante de riñón: la oportunidad de una nueva vida >>; << Detrás del trasplante de riñón: incertidumbres y frustraciones >> y << La comunicación como herramienta de atención >>. Conclusión: se encontró que la percepción de los entrevistados sobre el trasplante de riñón estaba relacionada con el cambio de vida, lo que garantiza una sensación de libertad en relación con otras terapias y una mayor esperanza de vida. Sin embargo, se presentó a algunos entrevistados como otra opción de tratamiento, ya que no se asocia con una cura y, debido a los casos de fracaso y el largo tiempo de espera para realizarlo, causa frustraciones e incertidumbres con respecto a esta terapia. También se identificó la importancia de la educación para la salud, especialmente de enfermería, influyendo en la aclaración y reducción de las ansiedades con respecto al trasplante. Both the authors’ previous experience and the devoted literature highlight the particular role of teacher-student communication for the quality of graduates’ professional development and education. The research presented herein is based on a sociological survey conducted in a large university from north-west Romania, on more than 600 Economics Master’s students.The chief goal of our research is to determine efficient ways to improve the student training provided by the master programmes in Economics, by means of a better stimulation on the part of the teachers, a more efficient teacher – student communication, a better quality of the teaching materials employed and a greater relevance of the educational content for the particular area of specialisation pursued.After an initial review of the material resulted from the sociological survey, we continued to analyse the results in relation to the tiers of the communication process, the role of groups in the learning process and of the education process in the development of emotional intelligence.Within the current phase of our study, the underlying hypotheses are:(1) The training of Economics and Business Administration students provides them with opportunities of professional specialisation, while developing skills and abilities useful in everyday life.(2) The students’ training in Economics also entails an implicit educational process, which supports the development of their emotional intelligence.(3) Multiculturalism bears manifold benefits, both in terms of specialist professional training and on graduates’ attitudes and behaviour in the social life.This study allowed us to validate the hypotheses and to draw some interesting conclusions for the education of students enrolled in the university surveyed.

The elimination of racial and ethnic health inequities has become a central focus of health education and the national health agenda. The documentation of an increasing gap in life expectancy and other health outcomes suggests the need for more effective strategies to eliminate health inequities, which can be informed by better monitoring and evaluation data. Although the sophistication and volume of health data available have increased dramatically in recent years, this article examines the quality of the current data collected to achieve the goal of eliminating racial and ethnic health inequities. This article explores several key aspects of data to inform addressing inequities including terminology, the role of data, and explanations of the problem. The authors conclude with recommendations for refining data collection to facilitate the elimination of racial and ethnic health inequities and suggest how the Society for Public Health Education can become a more central figure in our national efforts

Abstract: Quality of life in patients with borderline personality disorder: The mediating role of life satisfaction. Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a mental illness characterized by a pattern of instability in relationships, moods and behavior. Using two groups of women (clinical or diagnosed with BPD, N = 138; and control, with no physical or mental illness, N = 124) this study analyzed the differences between pathological personality traits, measured by the Personality Inventory for DSM-5 and different domains of quality of life (SF-36 and the WHODAS 2.0) as well as the mediating role of life satisfaction in personality traits and quality of life. Differences were found between the groups in pathological personality and quality of life. Moreover, many SF-36 dimensions were partially mediated by life satisfaction in both groups. Therefore, new treatments for BPD may include developing life satisfaction, palliating the effects of this disorder on quality of life, reducing its impact on day-to-day tasks.Resumen: El trastorno de personalidad límite (TPL) se caracteriza por inestabilidad en las relaciones, el humor y la conducta. Se analizaron en dos grupos de mujeres (clínico o con TPL, N = 138; y control, sin enfermedad física o mental, N = 124) las diferencias en rasgos patológicos de personalidad (evaluados con el Personality Inventory for DSM-5) y diferentes dominios de calidad de vida (SF-36 y WHODAS 2.0), así como el papel mediador de la satisfacción vital en las relaciones entre personalidad y calidad de vida. Se encontraron diferencias entre los grupos en personalidad patológica y calidad de vida. Además, varias dimensiones de calidad de vida del SF-36 estaban mediadas parcialmente por la satisfacción vital en ambos grupos. Por tanto, los tratamientos del TPL podrían incluir el desarrollo de satisfacción vital para paliar sus efectos en la calidad de vida de los que lo padecen, reduciendo su impacto en las tareas del día a día.

La Educación física tiene una relación directa con cuatro de las nueve dimensiones que componen la Calidad de Vida (Eurostat, 2013): salud, educación, ocio y relaciones sociales y bienestar subjetivo. La Educación física aparece como un elemento fundamental para indicadores importantes en la medición de la calidad de vida, de presente y de futuro. Y es que la Educación física puede proporcionar una socialización adecuada en hábitos saludables, patrones de conducta relacionales y mejor autopercepción del bienestar a niños y jóvenes que no son “objetos” de estudio, sino sujetos activos y participantes, como nos plantea la nueva sociología de la infancia. La nueva sociología de la infancia es una subdisciplina de la sociología (de la educación física y del deporte) que estudia la realidad holística de la vida de los niños y jóvenes. En este sentido, también analiza elementos fundamentales de su calidad de vida presente, en relación con ellos mismos. La metodología mixta es una opción global y completa que se presenta como opción muy adecuada en diversos tipos de investigaciones que aúnan salud, educación y aspectos sociales y culturales. Las conclusiones muestran cómo desde la Educación Física y mediante la metodología mixta (encuestas, entrevistas, grupos de discusión, etnografía e investigación-acción), se puede analizar de manera más completa algunos de los indicadores de calidad de vida entre niños y jóvenes, en relación con ellos mismos y en planteamientos intergeneracionales, de presente (de los propios niños y jóvenes “aquí y ahora”) y de futuro (cuestiones estructurales de base socioeducativa).Abstract: Physical Education has a direct relationship with four of the nine dimensions that constitute Quality of life (Eurostat, 2013): health, education, leisure and social relationships, and personal welfare. The New Sociology of Childhood is a sub-discipline of Sociology (of Physical Education) that explores children’s and young people’s life in a holistically manner. Physical Education appears as a fundamental element for measuring quality of life. Thus, Physical Education can provide children and youth with positive socialization into healthy habits, relational patterns and better self-perception of welfare: they are not 'objects' of research, but they are active “subjects”. In this sense, this sub-discipline also analyses key elements of quality of life as well as it studies their relation with each other. Mixed methodology is a suitable methodology in different types of research about health, education and socio-cultural aspects. The outcomes show how Physical Education (through Mixed methodology: surveys, interviews, discussion groups, ethnography and action-research) can analyse children’s and youth’s indicators of quality of life, both in relation with each other and in intergenerational approaches, looking at the Present (children and young, "here and now") and at the Future (structural issues from socio-educational basis).

General Store is one of the important sections in Hotels that are included in the accounting Deparment. A general store is a storage place for all operational items of the hotel. Each hotel makes its own efforts to keep the inventory of the hotel which will become the guest necessities. This research aims to know what efforts are made to maintain the quality of hotel operational goods through the role of the general store section at The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta. Is in accordance with the standard or does not give special treatment to the operational goods (ignored). The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data through interviews. Interviews were conducted with general store staff, cost control staff, and trainees of food beverages at The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta. The results of the research show that The Hotel Phoenix Yogyakarta made positive efforts that can reduce damage to goods stored in the general store and always ensure the goods that come to the guests are in good condition so that guests will feel satisfied.

The principal is a leader in educational institutions that regulates and manages educational activities in schools. Therefore, school principals play an important role in improving the quality of education, especially improving teacher performance to be more enthusiastic and professional in teaching and developing themselves who are in charge of delivering lessons to students. This study aims to identify the role of principal supervision as an effort to improve teacher professionalism in teaching at SMA Negeri 10 OKU.This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 10 OKU. The research was carried out for 3 (three) months, starting from September 2020 to November 2020. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used include: (1) Interview or Interview; (2) Observation; (3) Documentation. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the principal had a role in the supervision carried out as an effort to improve teacher professionalism in teaching. It is known: (1) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher in planning lesson plans which are made reported and approved by the principal and according to the curriculum; (2) The role of principal supervision is proven by the teacher in carrying out the learning process in accordance with the learning device guidelines and using teaching aids; (3) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher evaluating the learning outcomes and reporting to the principal; (4) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher following up on the learning outcomes in accordance with the direction of the principal; (5) The role of principal supervision is evidenced by the teacher providing guidance to students.
