The present study aimed to explore the relationship between the extent of having habits of mind and creativity among students of excellent academic achievement at Qatar University during the COVID 19 crisis. The researchers adopted a descriptive analytical approach. The researchers selected a sample that consists from 12 male students and 250 female students of excellent academic achievement. They were enrolled at the College of Education at Qatar University. They were selected through using the random stratified sampling method was used. Questionnaire forms were distributed to those students through using e-mail. However, 5 questionnaire forms were excluded due to having missing data and 7 questionnaire forms weren’t retrieved. Thus, the final sample consists from 250 female students. SPSS program was used to analyze data. It was found that extent of having habits of mind by students of excellent academic achievement at Qatar University is moderate. It was found that the creativity level of the students of excellent academic achievement at Qatar University is moderate. It was found that there is a statistically significant positive relationship between that extent of having habits of mind and creativity level at Qatar University during the COVID 19 crisis. The researchers recommend adding activities that requires using habits of mind to university curricula in Qatar.

The purpose of this paper is to assess gender norms among students towards equality in higher education in Malaysia. The study was conducted in two higher learning institutions such as International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) in Malaysia. A total of 300 students (77 males & 223 females) were selected as the respondents using purposive sampling method. A survey research design was employed in this study. Questionnaires were completed in a supervised setting by the research protocol. The first objective of this study was to assess student’s attitudes towards equality at higher education institutions. Results revealed that despite the majority of the respondents showed favorable attitudes towards equality; less favorable attitude towards gender equality was noted with respect on religious leadership and boys’ priority over girls in education. The study examined whether there is any difference between male and female student’s attitudes towards equality. Results showed that female students tended to have more egalitarian or non-traditional attitudes than male students towards equality. The paper analyzed the relationship between the demographic characteristics and student’s attitudes towards equality. The results revealed that the ethnicity, region of residence, father’s educational level have positive associations with student’s attitudes towards equality. Strength-based approaches are being increasingly validated for use in clinical settings with children and youth. However, the role that strengths play in educational settings with typically-achieving students has yet to be examined. The present study explored the relationship among strengths, classroom behaviour, and academic achievement for a sample of 54 students in Grades 1 and 2. Results showed that teachers rated female students as having more strengths than male students. For both sexes, academic achievement was most highly related to strengths in School Functioning and prosocial behaviour. Strengths in Peer Relationships were significantly related to achievement only for male students. Discussion of these findings, as well as implications for practice are presented.

This study aims to analyze the mathematical disposition and self-regulated learning of online lectures with the help of Google Classroom. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. This study's subjects were 34 students of the first semester of the Mathematics Education Study Program consisting of 11 male students and 23 female students determined by the saturated sampling method. From the research results, it can be concluded that students' mathematical disposition through learning assisted by Google Classroom has high criteria. The mathematical disposition of male and female students through learning assisted by Google Classroom has high criteria. Still, the level of mathematical disposition of male students is slightly higher than female students. Meanwhile, student self-regulated learning with the help of Google Classroom obtains very high criteria. For male and female students, both have very high learning independence criteria in carrying out learning with the help of Google Classroom.Keywords: Mathematical Disposition, Self-regulated learning, Google Classroom, Online Lectures, Gender

Objective: To analyze the level of health literacy regarding prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and studied the relationship between the health literacy and sexual experience of Vocational students in health region 7, Thailand. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted using questionnaires. The questionnaires consisted of questions on health literacy and sexual experiences. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, including chi-square tests to analyze the relationship between health literacy and sexual experiences. Results: The present study participants comprised of 364 vocational students, 220 (60.4%) male students, and 144 (39.6%) female students. Almost half of the male students (47.3%) had sexual relationship by the age of 15.8 years (SD 1.7), 98.1% of them had their first sexual relationship with their girlfriends, and 81.7% used condoms. Meanwhile, 31.3% of the female students had sexual relationship by the age of 15.7 years (SD 1.3), all of them had first sexual relationship with their boyfriends, and 88.9% used condoms. Most students had low health literacy level, which included 79.5% of the male students and 62.5% of female students. There was significant relationship between sexual experience and health literacy in STD prevention in both male and female students (p<0.05). Conclusion: The present study found that the health literacy in the prevention of STDs was low among the participants. Therefore, education and health care sector should be aware of the situation and jointly develop health education programs in the prevention of STDs for the vocational students and teenagers. The present research study aims to examine the academic achievement of secondary school students in relation to gender differences. The study was carried out on a sample of 100 male and female students studying in class IXth of Aligarh District, U.P. India. Two self developed tools were applied which finally analysed by applying Mean, SD, t-Test and Pearson‟s Coefficient Correlation (r). Results revealed a significant difference between male and female students in English achievement scores and also no significant difference was found between English and Mathematics achievement scores of IXth grade male students. Results also revealed low positive correlation between English and Mathematics achievement of male students of IXth grade and moderate positive correlation between English and Mathematics achievement of female students of IXth grade. The results suggested to the need of motivation and encouragement for enhancing academic achievement scores of male and female students.

Abstract Many studies have indicated that single-sex classrooms promote female students’ self-confidence and achievement in various professions, including professions where their rate of employment is low, such as mathematics and other exact sciences. The purpose of the present study is to examine the relationship between single-sex classrooms and math achievements among both female and male students. The study population included 608 students learning in the fifth-ninth grades, who attended state-religious schools in the southern region of Israel and came from families who had similar socioeconomic status. The students answered a short demographic questionnaire and their math teacher filled out each student’s score achieved in the regional math summative assessment. The findings showed no relationship between classroom type and boys’ achievement in mathematics, while a significant relationship was found between learning in single-sex classroom and higher math achievements among girls in elementary school. In middle school, however, no significant difference was found.

The study aims to investigate the relationship between the academic achievement of computerized tests and traditional pen and paper exams of Business College students at the University of Jordan- Aqaba branch as well as relate differences results to students` gender. The study sample comprised 136 students of a compulsory course at the Business Faculty. A computerized mid-term test was held while the final one was traditional. The results of the two tests were compared where the other general factors affecting students` academic achievement, namely ( the same students, course subject, course subject lecturer) were set. The tests marks were sampled as percentage to the test mark so as to delete the denominator difference of marks where the mid-term mark is out of 30 while the final test is out of 50. The SPSS was used to compare the results of the two tests. Results were related to students gender, whether gender-related differences are found. The study concluded that there is no statistical significant relationship between the academic achievement of computerized tests and traditional ones (paper and pen) held at the Business College in The University of Jordan- Aqaba branch. The results also indicated that the academic achievement differences resulting from computerized tests have to do with the student gender variable in favour of male students.

This corelational study aimed at investigating the relationship between the moral intelligence of a group of Yemeni EFL student teachers and their academic achievement. It also aimed at finding out any statistically significant differences between the moral intelligence of the student teachers who are categorized into high and low achievers. One hundred and twelve Yemeni EFL student teachers of a third level in the teacher preparation program at the Department of English in the College of Education at Sana’a University in Yemen participated in this study. Their ages ranged between 21 and 25 years. Data were collected using a literature-based questionnaire. The results of this study show that the mean of the ten categories of the moral intelligence is 4.02 (80.4%) indicating a high degree of moral intelligence. The results show that there is no statistically significant differencesat the 0.05 level between the moral intelligence and academic achievement in the Morphology and Syntax course. The results also indicate that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of 0.05 between high and low achievers on nine categories of the moral intelligence. Furthermore, the results indicate that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of 0.05 between female and male student teachers on nine categories of the moral intelligence, namely: Faith, Honesty, Integrity, Courage, Discipline, Responsibility, Service, Kindness and Courtesy. The study findings confirm the previous studies and present some suggestions for further research.

 The paper intends to examine the irregular attendance of students in their class and its relation to their academic achievement in five central campuses of Mid- Western University. This study followed descriptive study based on quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data were obtained from 172 students selected by non-proportional stratified sampling. Qualitative data were obtained from the campus chiefs, heads of instruction committees and teachers of the central campuses selected purposively. A mixed questionnaire was employed for quantitative data and open ended questionnaire was used to collect qualitative data. The study showed that near about half portion of respondents responded that they were sometimes irregular in their class. Few students (4.45%) who were never irregular belonged to the category of having knowledge of irregular attendance. Higher portion (29.57%) of the male students were always irregular than the female students. The high portion of Master's level students were always irregular than the Bachelor's level students. Chhetri students were always irregular than other castes. The higher percentage (23.07%) of 20 to 25 years’ age group students were always irregular than other age groups. The percentage of irregular students seemed higher in central campus of Humanities and Social Science, Education and Management. Majority of the participants pointed out that the University related factors are main reasons for their irregular attendance. The study showed that there is a positive significant relationship between class attendance of students and their academic achievement.

This study aimed at investigating the relationship between hours of homework, stress, and mood disturbance in senior high school students, 141 boys and 228 girls, recruited from high schools across Victoria, Australia. Participants' ages ranged from 16 to 18 years ( M = 16.6, SD = .6). A 1-wk. homework diary, a Self-reported Stress scale, and the Profile of Mood States were administered to students. Analysis showed that the number of hours spent completing homework ranged from 10 to 65 hours per week ( M = 37.0, SD = 12.2). Independent samples t-test analyses showed significant sex differences, with female students scoring higher on hours of homework, stress, and mood disturbance compared to male students. Pearson product-moment correlations were significant and positive for hours of homework with stress and for hours of homework with mood disturbance.
