Abstract The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between internal motivation and academic achievement among high school students. Using multi-stage cluster sampling 307 high school students were selected. Then internal motivation questionnaire administrated. To measure the academic achievement, their academic grade average was used. Using the Pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise regression analysis, and Z test Collected data were analyzed. Results showed that there is positive and significant relationship between internal motivation and academic achievement. There is positive and significant relationship between interest, competence, effort, lack of stress, selection, value and academic achievement. Between components of the internal motivation, competence, lack of stress and value explained about 24 percent of student academic achievement variance. The relationship of internal motivation and academic achievement among male and female students is no different.

The health benefits of physical activity are empirically supported and well accepted. However, the relationship between physical activity, physical fitness, and academic performance remains to be clearly established. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between physical fitness and academic achievement among a sample of Illinois high school students. Analyses were based on the 2016–2017 school year Archival Fitnessgram physical fitness test scores and cumulative GPAs of ninth- through twelfth-grade students (N = 371). Pearson correlation assessed the relationship between physical fitness and academic performance. Multiple linear regression predicted students’ academic achievement. There was a positive association between total fitness and academic achievement, although not statistically significant, r (369) = .002, p = .49. The regression prediction model was statistically significant (p < .001) and accounted for approximately 25% of the variance in academic achievement (R2 = .256, adjusted R2 = .246). Academic achievement was predicted by total number of absences and gender, and to a lesser extent by socio­economic status, the curl-up, and ethnicity. The findings of this study suggest a positive association between physical fitness and academic achievement. These results are potentially relevant to the development of future education policies. Thus, policy makers, school administrators, and educators must use the knowledge gained in this study, along with existing research, as evidence to emphasize the importance of the fitness–academic link, to further support the need for quality physical education curriculum and mandated physical fitness testing.

Background: Drug abuse and its destructive consequences are among challenging issues concerning students’ health. Objectives: The present study aimed to investigate the relationship of social adjustment and resilience with attitude towards drugs in boy and girl students of Lali City. Methods: The study was a descriptive correlational study performed by path analysis. The study population included 1500 boy and girl high school students of Lali City in the academic year of 2017 - 2018, among whom 133 boys and 142 girls were selected through multistage stratified sampling and using Cochran’s formula. Research instruments included Bell’s Adjustment Inventory (BAI) for Students, the Connor-Davidson Resilience scale (CD-RISC), and the Drug Attitude scale (DAS). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 23. Results: The results revealed a significant negative relationship between social adjustment and girl students’ attitudes towards drugs (P < 0.001); however, there was no significant relationship between social adjustment and attitudes towards drugs in boy students. Meanwhile, there was no direct and significant relationship between resilience and attitudes towards drugs in boy and girl students. On the other hand, a significant positive relationship was observed between resilience and social adjustment in boys (P < 0.01) and girls (P < 0.05). The indirect impact of resilience on the students’ attitudes towards drugs, mediated by social adjustment, was not significant. Conclusions: Resilience reduces stress, and as a result, students with more resilience seem to have better coping skills, higher social adjustment, and negative attitudes towards drugs.

Mathematics serves as the basis of modern innovations, discoveries and research studies. Students nowadays tend not to apply the concepts of Mathematics in the solution of meaningful problems since they were bombarded with the different factors affecting their academic achievement in mathematics. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between intellective and non-intellective factors and the academic achievement of students in advanced algebra. The descriptive - correlational method was used to determine the relationship between the achievement test in advanced algebra and the intellective and non-intellective factors which include logical intelligence, family income, number of years spent in school of the head of the family, time allotted in studying mathematics and interest in mathematics. Cluster Sampling Design was used as sampling design; that is, 217fourth-year high school students of F. Bustamante National High School, School Year 2011-2012 were taken as respondents. Pearson Product Coefficient of Correlation was used to determine the relationship between the variables. While the logical intelligence of senior students was satisfactory, relationship with the academic achievement of students was established in the findings at 0.05 level of significance, specifically in the domains of understanding, applying, analyzing and evaluating.Keywords—Mathematics Education, logical intelligence, academic achievement, advanced algebra,  fourth year high school students,  descriptive-correlational method, Davao City, Philippines

The current research was done to compare the efficiency of the family among successful and unsuccessful students. The statistical population of the research was high school students of Saghez. The method of the current research was causative – comparative. The research sample was 300 high school students (150 students with an average of more than 17 and students with an average of under 12) chosen through cluster sampling. Data were analyzed by using the family assessment questionnaire (FAD) and t test, multivariate regression, phi, Kendall’s tau, and variance analysis. Findings, showed that there is a positive relationship with (0/001) alpha with respect to the efficiency of the family (except for the subscale of problem – solving) among successful and unsuccessful students. The relationship of each of the demographic variables (parents’ education levels, educational major, and age) was a significant relationship on the effectiveness of the family. Family is a good predictor for the success of the students and one can enhance their success rate by strengthening the family effectiveness.

In recent years, mobile phone is a necessary device in life, because it provides much easiness in education, work, business, etc. but extreme use of communication devices, especially among young people are related with mental health problems. So, the aim of this study was surveying of relationships between personality traits with Mobile dependency in high school students. The research method was correlation. The population were included all high school students that 220 students were selected by cluster sampling method. Research data were collected by McCare & Costa's NEO personality traits (Neuroticism, Openness to new experience, Extroversion, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness) and Jenaro's Mobile dependency inventory, and were analyzed by Pearson correlation formula. The results showed that there is positive and significant relationship between Neuroticism and openness to new experience with Mobile dependency, and positive and significant relationship between extroversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness with mobile dependency. <p>The present study aimed to examine the relationship of parents’ perfectionism with academic self-regulation and self-control among male high school students in Iranshahr. This descriptive study followed a correlational design. The statistical population included all third grade second period male high school students in Iranshahr and the sample included 140 individuals selected hierarchically among 235 individuals using Morgan’s table. To collect data, the Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (1990), the Ryan and Connell Academic Self-Regulation (1989), and the Weinberger and Schwartz Self-Restraint Scale (1990) were applied. The obtained data was analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression analysis. The results indicated that parents’ perfectionism, parents’ expectations, and individual standards were significantly and negatively related to academic self-regulation. Among components of perfectionism, parents’ expectations explained 6% of the variance in academic self-regulation. Moreover, parents’ perfectionism and concerns about mistakes, parents’ expectations, and individual standards were significantly and negatively correlated with students’ self-regulation. When explaining self-control via components of parents’ perfectionism, in the first step, individual standards alone explained 19% of the variance in students’ self-control. In the second step, component of concerns about mistakes together with individual standards explained 27% of the variance in students’ academic self-regulation. Additionally, in the third step, component of parents’ expectations along with individual standards and concerns about mistakes explained 32% of the variance in students’ self-control.</p>


Main study focuses the relationships between the expressive intelligence and speculative achievement among the school student. During study, Investigation way was working. Data’s were compiled and investigated by using t test and Pearson correlation. After having carefully examined, the result indicated was, and it’s a positive correlation among emotional intelligence and speculative achievement among high school students. Thus, emotional aptitude plays an important role in the speculativeattainment of the students.
