A cross-sectional study was conducted to find the prevalence of mental health on teenage girl students and the effect of sexual harassment on their mental health: depression, anxiety, and stress. A concurrent mixed method was used and the study was conducted at both community and institutional schools of Lalitpur and Rupendehi districts. A semi-structured questionnaire was used for quantitative data collection along with DASS (42 points) test to measure depression, anxiety, and depression. Focus group discussion (FGD), in-depth interviews (IDI), and key informant information (KII) were used for qualitative data collection. Poor and ill mental health were found among the respondents and the prevalence of depression, anxiety and stress were 45%, 52%, and 35% respectively among the sexually harassed girl. As sexual harassment was found as one of the major factors that responsible for the poor mental health status of girl students, it is necessary for every school to adopt anti-sexual harassment policies and to take action against it to create a healthy learning environment.

Students, mainly girl students, are the future of our society. Hence, it's most important to look into the critical aspects like health, education, self-respect, and earning opportunity. Women and children are the vulnerable sections worldwide. Data shows that young adolescent girls, including college students, usually suffer from anemia, hair and skin issues, obesity or underweight issues, and more. Additionally, urban girls are also psychologically affected due to their perception of body image and overall improper nutritional status. Our study is a survey-oriented study where a simple random sampling method has been used. The survey was conducted in a district girls' college in West Bengal for two days in October 2018. Two dietitians, two nutrition subject experts, and one homeopathic doctor were present with the pre-tested semi-structured questionnaires format duly filled by each respondent. 110 interested girl students studying graduation participated in the primary health cum nutrition screening. BMI calculation through height and weight measurements, screening of nails, hair, skin, tongue, dietary habits, and basic nutrition knowledge assessments were made on the spot. Altogether, data was collected through the dichotomous questionnaires based on nutrition, personal health, and hygiene, followed by subjective opinions and perceptions of the participants' body image. SPSS version-16 was applied for statistical analysis. Twelve attributes were used in the dichotomous questionnaires that found 67% were overweight cum obese. The study revealed 12% anemic, 13% excess hair loss, 62% skin conditioning issues, 65.4% acne or pimples,65% menstruation issues, and 4.5% depression. The study analyzed all the personal attributes to assess their image perception and nutritional status as well. Image complexion is not always essential, but some participants expressed their feeling about their improper appearance. Above all, everyone accepted that proper nutrition is always a significant factor for good health.

Present study was conducted during the academic session 2020-21in the College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur, India taking 139 girl students randomly studying in B.Sc.(Ag.), M.Sc.(Ag.) and Ph. D. programmes. In this investigation, ''Ex-Post-Facto” research design was used. Socio-personal, communicational-situational, economic and psychological variables were independent variables to study the attitude (dependent variable) of girl students. Different empirical measures and structured schedule were used to know the variables of the study. Scale developed by Heatherton and Polivy [1] for assessment of level of confidence and scale adopted by Ajit [2] and further, used by Hallar (1963) were applied for reckoning the occupational aspirations. Results of the study indicate that majority (77.70%) of the respondents was under 22 years having OGPA between 7.00 to 8.00. Leaving 3.60 per cent of illiterate mothers, all students’ parents were literate. Data also reveals that nearly one third (33.81%) of the students belonged to high family income group whereas, 23.74 per cent belonged to low and 42.45 per cent belonged to medium family income group.  Most of them (74.10%) were from OBC, SC/ST categories and nearly two-third of them (63.31%) had medium to very high participation in extra-curricular activities. Majority (64.75%) was from rural background and 54.68% of the respondents used to visit the library either twice or once in a week. More than one third students (35.25%) under study were found using internet at medium level. More than three-fourth (75.54%) of the students’ parents had agriculture, animal husbandry and service as their occupation whereas majority (63.31%) of them was small and marginal farmers. On further analysis, it was seen that 49.64 per cent of the responding students had high level of confidence whereas, majority (79.86%) had medium to high level of occupational aspiration.

The article presents materials of a comparative study between index estimates of the physical development of students between two ethnic groups. Physical development is one of the most important indicators of the health not only for the young generation, but also for the whole population. The indices of physical development represent the ratios of individual anthropometric characteristics, which allows them to be used for a rough assessment of physical development in the course of mass surveys of the population, as well as for analyzing the influence of various environmental factors on the body. The study involved 336 girls aged 17 to 20 years studying at Kostanay State Pedagogical University. The studies were conducted in accordance with bioethical rules. All studies were conducted in inter-sessional period, in the first half of the day. Depending on nationality, the respondents were divided into two groups: the first group — students of Kazakh nationality, the second group — students of Slavic nationalities. The studied groups identified the main anthropometric (heihth, body weight, chest circumference), physiometric parameters (vital capacity of the lungs, hand strength, blood pressure), anthropometric (Quetelet, Pigne, Manouvrier) and functional indices (Robinson, Skibinsky, life and dynamometric indices). In the studied groups, significant differences were revealed in the main anthropometric indicators, the characteristics of the Manouvrier index, and the index of life. The revealed excess of the average group indicators of the girl students of the second group is due to the genetic predisposition of the morphological and functional characteristics of the organism.

Excellence and creativity in mathematics are necessary requirements for the twenty-first century, and some countries have gone to build and develop new curricula for excellence and creativity. We prepared an activity program in mathematics based on Feuerstein's instrumental enrichment program and Gardner's multiple intelligences theory to increase excellence and creativity in mathematics for Omani students. We hypothesized that the success of previous programs based on the same foundations would generalize to Omani students. Inan experiment, the experimental group received a special training and the control group did not. We then checked whether the pretest-posttest gain was larger for the experimental group than for the control group. The study sample was comprised of an experimental group of n= 35 8th-grade girl students of class nr. 8/1 in Aesha bent Abu Bakr school in Salalah, Oman, and a control group of n= 36 of 8th-grade girl students of class nr. 8/3 in the same school. The differences in pretest-posttest gains were analyzed using t-tests, significance levels, correlations, and effect sizes. There were large and significant experimental effects in favor of the experimental group, showing these educational outcomes can be generalized to Oman.We note various limitations of the study and give various recommendations.
