Purpose- Focusing on private banking industry in Delhi (India), the study intent to identify the direct and indirect influence of select individual, internal (organizational) and external (environment) variables on retention of bank managers. Three retention models for banking industry with the said variables had been hypothesized and tested to find that most appropriate model. Design/Methodology/Approach - The required data of 301 lower and middle level managers was finalized using stratified random sampling. The managers examined for the study were with minimum two years of experience in the same bank. The study was conducted in two phases- (i) Significant determinants of retention were identified using multiple and hierarchical regression analysis, (ii) Involving only significant determinants three retention models were created and tested using Structural equation modelling (SEM). Findings- SEM result of best fit model suggests that perceived alternative employment opportunities, perceived organizations prestige, perceived competitiveness of pay, pay and benefits satisfaction, career advancement opportunities, work-life balance, and job satisfaction have significant effect on retention of managers and the result is consistent with regression analysis of the work. Moreover, final model showed retention acting as mediator between other variables and retention, though the indirect effect was found to be very weak. Practical Implications- The findings of the study will be serviceable for the banks want to keep those managers who had already spend a good amount of time in the bank. Originality/Value- Rather than including two or three predictors, the current work has considered determinants of retention from various dimensions. The study extended its area by making an effort to involve only those who retained in the organization for two years and can actually have an opinion on the matter or factors affecting their stay.

The secondary traumatic stress (STS) of nurses caring for COVID-19 patients is expected to be high, and it can adversely affect patient care. The purpose of this study was to examine the degree of STS of nurses caring for COVID-19 patients, and we identified various factors that influence STS. This study followed a descriptive design. The data of 136 nurses who had provided direct care to COVID-19 patients from 5 September to 26 September 2020 were collected online. Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to identify the factors influencing STS. Participants experienced moderate levels of STS. The regression model of Model 1 was statistically significant (F = 6.21, p < 0.001), and the significant factors influencing STS were the duration of care for patients with COVID-19 for more than 30 days (β = 0.28, p < 0.001) and working in an undesignated COVID-19 hospital (β = 0.21, p = 0.038). In Model 2, the factor influencing STS was the support of a friend in the category of social support (β = −0.21, p = 0.039). The nurses caring for COVID-19 patients are experiencing a persistent and moderate level of STS. This study can be used as basic data to treat and prevent STS.

This paper analyzes how significant the internal company factors affecting the profit of the sharia banking industry. There are so many variables that can affecting profit, and profit is an important part of shariah banking for its business sustainability, so in this research, profit was selected as the dependent variable, its data was taken from monthly reports of sharia banking profit/Loss, the independent variables that were selected are the cost of education and training, the number of sharia banking offices, and the amount of the sharia banking labor. This research using 25 data starting from January 2018 to January 2020 with the results of the regression analysis indicates the difference of significance, the cost of training and education significantly affecting the profit of sharia banking, while the results of regression for the number of the office and the amount of labor indicates that both variables were not significantly affecting the profit of sharia banking.

This study analyzes the factors affecting work motivation of non-public university lecturers in Ho Chi Minh City through confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling based on the survey data of 253 university lecturers. The research results show 6 factors that positively affect the work motivation of lecturers: advancement opportunities (AO), organizational culture (OC), recognition of individual contribution (RIC), lecturer’s qualifications (LQ),wages and other benefits (WB), working environment (WE). Two more factors have been found to be not statistically significant -- the characteristics of teaching and learning (CTL) and the class size (CS). Our conclusion is that schools should pay more attention to improving the working environment, by means of providing appropriate and timely forms to assess and acknowledge the contributions of teachers to the school, thereby creating more motivation for them to contribute even more in the future.

Abstract: The objective of this study are to eximine the influence of decentralised sturcture, budgetary participation, managers value orientation towards innovation on organisational commitment. The respodents were middle level managers in Aceh’s banking industry. Out of 131 questionnaires distributed, 118 can be used for analysis. Using Regression Analysis, the result of this study indicates that the decentralised structure and managers value orientation towards innovation have a negative influence to organisational commitment. Meanwhile, the budgetary participation has a positive and significant influence to organisational commitment. Recomendation for the future research is to use other variable such as organisational culture or job satisfaction to see its colleration to organisational commitment.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is the relationship between the humanistic knowledge, emotional intelligence and compassion competence. Methods: This study examines factors influencing empathy competence in clinical dental hygienists through hierarchical regression analysis. Results: As a result of hierarchical regression analysis, in Model 1, job satisfaction and the presence or absence of educational experience in patient empathy were found to have significant influences. In Model 2, it was found that job satisfaction, patient empathy ability education experience, and emotional intelligence had an effect. Conclusions: These results can be seen as the competence necessary to provide high-quality dental hygiene services in the relationship between the subject and the dental hygienist

This study examined the recognition of English words by groups of native speakers of Italian who differed in age of arrival in Canada and amount of continued native language use. The dependent variable was the number of words correctly repeated in English sentences presented in noise. Significantly higher word recognition scores were obtained for early than late bilinguals, and for early bilinguals who used Italian seldom than for early bilinguals who used Italian relatively often. A hierarchical regression analysis showed that the native Italian participants' ability to perceive English vowels and consonants accounted for a significant amount of variance in the word-recognition scores independently of age of arrival, amount of L1 use, and length of residence in Canada. The native language use effect was interpreted to have arisen from differences in the extent to which the early bilinguals' Italian phonetic system influenced the representations they developed for English vowels and consonants.

It has been well proved that malware attacks results in a loss of wealth and security to individuals and organizations. So, it is of utmost importance to understand that how a person or an organization becomes a victim of malware attacks. To understand the issues affecting malware attacks an empirical analysis was carried out. Firstly, factors affecting malware attacks were identified and a model was proposed, subsequently SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) was carried out to validate the proposed model and finally, regression analysis was used to establish the importance of the identified factors.

This research aimed to study the influence of predictor factors on inclination toward entrepreneurship career involving the benefits of entrepreneurship career as a mediator. The method of the study is quantitative approach using 161 sets of questionnaires distributed by simple random method among the form four students from entrepreneurship club in 16 secondary schools in Terengganu. Data was analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) involving descriptive test, Multiple Regression and Hierarchical Regression. Descriptive test finding found that most of the respondents have entrepreneurship career inclination at the high level. The findings of the Multiple Regression analysis found that predictor factors such as social norm, entrepreneurship skills and role model influenced entrepreneurship career inclination. Meanwhile, Hierarchical Regression analysis found that social norms, entrepreneurship skills and role model could influence the entrepreneurship career inclination through mediator the benefits of entrepreneurship career. The findings from these two analysis found that role model is the most dominant factor in influencing of entrepreneurship career inclination directly or indirectly by using the benefits of entrepreneurship career as a mediator. The findings of this study add value to the existing findings of the predictor factors affecting the inclination and the benefits of entrepreneurship career as mediator.
