Supplier selection knowledge of OTAs businesses is one of the most valuable and significant knowledge since OTAs now operate businesses that gain their benefits from having many kinds of tourism products and services for customers to browse from in their own online booking systems. The better the suppliers, the more successful will OTAs be. The knowledge in supplier selection is, therefore, relayed through manuals, mentoring and coaching. After that there has been a creation of knowledge management systems to be used as a media to pass on the knowledge via online means. The knowledge contents presented are retention and transfer knowledge. To evaluate the efficiency of using Knowledge Management System (KMS), the research has provided a study in increased learning performances of related staff in supplier selection who have learned through the KMS system. The result found that the group that learned through KMS gained higher learning performances than the one who learned from documents. This reflects that the KMS system will suitable to be used as a tool in knowledge management and can be relayed to organizations in this present time.

Based on the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia – Article 37 of 2009 verse 8 states that a lecturer profession obliges to a minimum of 12 and maximum of 16 teaching credits in every semester according to his/her academic qualifications. Todays, Institute of Information Management and Computer Science (STMIK) Widuri has been applying a sharing knowledge process amid lecturers with the intention to assist them in academic position ladder management. However, problems are found during its implementation. First problem is infrequentTri Dharma practices (three principles of higher education; education, research and contribution to society)and reports being submitted by lecturers; the condition has resulted a statistic of STMIK active lecturers in general to decrease to 41.6%. Lack of information regarding Tri Dharma practices and its administrations known by its lecturers is the one missed to solve; a lecturer does not comprehensively understand what the stages are required in order to administer their academic position ladder. Second issue is there has been no media to facilitate lecturers to spread and share the knowledge and experience with the other fellow lecturers that the process of levelling up their academic tenures or positions become hampered. This means, the slower the process the longer it takes for them to move up to the next academic position ladder. As this is the case, the researchers propose aprototype of knowledge management system (KMS) utilizing SECI methodand gathering data through interviews, observations as well as literature studies. Software used is User Acceptance Test (UAT). Furthermore, the research has come up with a web-based KSM prototype with test percentage result76%; this means the system is accepted and matched the expectation.

Currently, higher learning institutions (HLIs) are facing their most challenging problem in inefficient information management. The knowledge management system (KMS) application calls for providing several benefits to lecturers and students, producing daily information, documenting records for evidence of a transaction, and eventually improving the decision-making process. Knowledge management can be coupled with fuzzy logic to deal with imprecision and uncertainty of data in a KMS. The ICT dynamic development has shifted the HLI operations from manual to electronic-based handling of related information. KMS is one of the systems that are of significant consideration in this regard. Nevertheless, such a system has not been extensively adopted as expected due to users’ rejection of its use. In the present paper, the factors affecting the decision to adopt/reject KMS are highlighted. The study is qualitative and entails a critical review of the related literature concerning the topic, backed by interviews. KMS experts working with highly reputable HLI were interviewed. A total of 11 factors were focused on in light of their effect on the decision to adopt/reject KMS, as argued by the technological adoption theories and literature review. All the factors were validated and placed in ranks by the experts. From the results, a novel conceptual framework of KMS adoption was developed for Libyan HLIs to bring about technology adoption and improved decision-making.

Information technology is increasingly developing and has a positive impact on the world of education. The implementation of student counseling with a Knowledge Management System is one of the contributions of information technology in the world of education. Many benefits provided by the Student Counseling Knowledge Management System, in managing the knowledge needed by the counselor section to document student consultations. The development and implementation of a KMS counseling system costs more to employ professional staff to maintain and improve; KMS student counseling application; For this reason, it is necessary to design a Cloud Computing-based Student Counseling Knowledge Management System. The research method carried out in the first stage is to collect data and information about Knowledge Management and Student Counseling, and how to use it to create a Knowledge Management System Application, Student Counseling Based on cloud computing. Furthermore, conducting a literature study and literature review, system design is in the form of data architecture compounding, process design, network design, and user interface design. The design results of this system can facilitate educational institutions in conducting online cloud computing-based student counseling
