In the article, on the example of a civil passenger plane used in transport air services, the essence of the value of a marketing product in market activity was presented. In order to answer the question regarding the assessment of the value of a passenger plane, as a marketing product, by two parties - carriers and producers - the method of comparative analysis of available source data on basic technical and operational parameters of the selected civilian passenger aircraft models manufactured and delivered to the aviation market by the corporation Boeing.

The method of determining the market price of ecological functions of urban landings is discussed. The methodology provides for the use of expert assessments based on the methods of similarity (analogy) and comparative analysis. The possibility of determining the price of ecological functions that have dimension (named) is revealed. As an example, the calculation of the market value of sanitary and hygienic environmental functions, namely, dust protection, gas protection and CO2 absorption (RUB/year), is shown. The results of the calculations are compiled in the form of a table - reference of the market value of environmental functions. The price of each individual tree (shrub), taking into account the size and sanitary condition, is adjusted and entered in the GIS attribute table. Further, as the source data is refined, the entire calculation chain is automatically updated.

The article presents the most important technical solutions used in heavy duty diesel engines powering commercial vehicles – namely tractors – that meet the requirements of the Euro 6 norm. A comparative analysis of selected structural and operational parameters was also made on the example of engines with typical displacement close to 13 dm3 used in long-distance tractors.

This paper improved the empirical formula so that it can calculate the axial hydro-thrust under different working conditions. Then based on the operational parameters of a hydropower station, two calculation methods were used to calculate axial hydro-thrust and made comparative analysis. The results show that the improved formula is simple in computation and closely combined with parameters like flow, head and speed, and its calculation accuracy satisfies the engineering demand.

In the deterministic analysis of building structures, real accelerograms are used as input data. Very often, only instrumental recordings of accelerograms that are not cleared of noise are publicly available. Such accelerograms cannot be used directly in the analysis of building structures. Various broadband filters are used to adjust the instrumental recordings of accelerographs. This article discusses the possibility of applying filters based on the wavelet transform. The technique of the algorithm of filtering from the noise of the source data is considered. As an efficiency of this filtering algorithm, a comparative analysis of the dynamic coefficient and the energy criteria of the pulse and Arias for the corrected and instrumental accelerograms is carried out.

There is a duopoly in the global civil aircraft industry. The market for the production of passenger aircraft is mainly divided between companies such as Boeing and Airbus. This work describes the history of the creation and activities of both companies throughout their existence, as well as the trends in their activities today, related to external events. Competition between these companies is quite high and exists due to a number of certain factors. The results of this competition are the position of each of the companies in the market, which is reflected in their production and financial indicators and reflects the overall situation in the market for the production of civil aircraft. Also, this work allows us to identify future trends in the activities of these manufacturers, and, accordingly, the entire industry as a whole.

A mathematical model with 4 degree of freedom created in Matlab for aircraft departure trajectory is described in this article. As a reference aircraft a midsize commercial passenger aircraft similar to an Airbus A320 has been chosen. The aircraft is represented by the rigid body and the parameters of model are collected from Airbus and the simulated departure trajectory at the Munich airport is based on a Standard Instrumental Departure. A semi-empirical model of Stone for predicting the jet noise has been used. The proposed model is validated against 10 real flights obtained from aircraft noise and flight track monitoring system at Munich airport. The computed error between the real data and modelling is reported on. Obtained results are presented numerical and graphically. The observed effects of flight operational parameters affecting the aircraft noise emission level during take-off represent subjects of discussions in the paper.

The results of a comparative analysis of the 1994 Highway Capacity Manual (94HCM) ramp junction models and the FRESIM simulator model with an independent data base are described. The analysis was done as part of NCHRP Project 3-37 (Phase II), whose objective was to identify and investigate common ranges of application, consistency of internal logic, consistency of results, and potential modification to both the 94HCM and the FRESIM models. The results indicate that FRESIM may be a reasonable tool for predicting operational parameters within the area of ramp junctions for isolated ramps, although they also indicate that FRESIM may not be sensitive enough to some geometric parameters to be used confidently in its current form.

Many experimental and numerical works have been done on different configurations of solar stills to optimize the design by investigative the effect of climatic, operational and design parameters on its performance. One of the most important of the operational parameters that has received a considerable attention in the literature is the brine depth. A study was subsequently conducted to verify this trend by an experimental investigation on three types of solar still that was fabricated with an area of 1 m2 and tested in the composite climate of Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India, (Latitude: 11°N; Longitude; 77°E and an altitude of 409 m above sea level) with five different brine depths, namely 1, 4, 6, 8 and 10 cm. The present study clearly validated that the decreasing trend in productivity with the increase of brine depth.
