<p>The aims of this research are to know about the use of flashcards to improve the English Young Learners’ writing skills. English has four skills to be learned; they are listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and writing skill is the most difficult skill to be taught and learnt. Flashcards are one of the ways to improve the learners’ skill, especially EYL writing skill. The participants of this research are English Young Learners (EYL) in of the English Course at Gading Serpong, Tangerang. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was used as the method of the research and the English Young Learners’ (EYL) story paper are used as the instruments of the research. The results of the research are: (1) Most learners were excited when they are asked to see the colorful flashcard; (2) Learners who have good writing skill could make the story by completing the missing words and answer the questions then arrange the answer sentences well and (3) Learners who are not really master in writing, got some difficulties not only in completing the missing words but also answering then arranging the answer sentences well.</p>

<p>Result of initial observation at SDN 18 Batang Anai Kabupaten Padang Pariaman indicated that 1st grade students were afraid and shy to speak in front of class. It was caused the language learning only emphasized on reading and writing skills. Speaking skill was still not being a main focus. This is a classroom action research aimed to improve students’ speaking skill. Data were colected by using test and observation. In cycle I, percentage of students’ speaking skill mean score is 53,3%. In cycle II, percentage of students’ speaking skill mean score is 86%. Hence, learning with media of picture-series can improve students’ speaking skill. </p>

<p><em>Listening has a fundamental function of life including the preschoolers. Human use more time of listening activities for about 50%, while the rest 50% are used for speaking, reading, and writing. Listening activities should begin early for children in all situations. But,it is not in line with the </em><em>listening </em><em>ability of group A children in Kindergarten SitiKhodijahPucukLamongan. </em><em>They </em><em>have some difficulties when </em><em>being </em><em>asked by </em><em>the </em><em>teacher to listen to information given. Listening is a tedious activity for children, especially preschoolers. It is necessary to have similar material and interesting way to practice listening skills in preschoolers.</em></p><p><em>According</em><em> to the problem, </em><em>the research questions are formulated as follows</em><em> (1) How the application of storytelling method to improve the listening ability of children group A in Kindergarten SitiKhodijahPucukLamongan?, (2</em><em>)</em><em> How to improve the listening ability through the storytelling method of group </em><em>A</em><em>children in Kindergarten SitiKhodijahPucukLamongan? On the </em><em>first </em><em>cycle</em><em>the </em><em>percentage of children who </em><em>are able based on criteria of</em><em> Exponential Developing Criteria (BSH) reaches 33.33% while in the </em><em>second </em><em>cycle</em><em>the </em><em>percentage of children </em><em>who are able</em><em> increase</em><em>s</em><em> to 83.33%</em><em>. Based on</em><em> the result of this study, it can be concluded that the method of storytelling can improve the </em><em>listening </em><em>ability o</em><em>f</em><em> children group A in Kindergarten SitiKhodijahPucukLamongan.</em><em></em></p>

Student’s Tenses mastery is an important competence to support the major English skills, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Beside, the tenses mastery is also important to have another grammar materials that need Tenses mastery as the basic knowledge. However, in reality, students’ tenses mastery is very minimal that they are not able to call out the names of the tenses, mention the formulas, let alone to understand meaning and the usage in sentences. To solve this problem the resercher has created a teaching technique, namely, Tenses Symbols Technique (TST) that covers four steps of tenses mastery: memorizing tenses names, formulating tenses patterns, understanding tenses meanings, dan applying in context. Clasroom Action Research is the research method applied in this research because the aim of this research merely to solve the problem the researcher has in her own class. From the two cycles of Classroom Action Research that consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting, and from data analyzing , it was proven that Tenses Symbols Tecnique (TST) could improve the students’ tenses mastery as 81% in cycle 1 and 95% in cycle 2 because the application of symbols in this technique could simplify of the process of decoding the meaning of each tenses. So, the result of this research is TST could improve students’ tenses mastery.

This research begins with the problem faced by the teacher, namely the lack of students' ability to understand the material. This study aims to improve the ability of grade IX students at SMPN 1 Gebang Cirebon Regency in understanding Indonesian subjects in the subject of "Technology" with the subject "Writing Reports" through the application of the Integrated Reading and Writing Cooperative Technique, so that learning Indonesian becomes more enjoyable and creates creativity. The method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in class IX SMPN 1 Gebang Cirebon Regency. Activities carried out in two cycles of action. The results showed that the application of the Integrated Reading and Writing Cooperative Technique could improve students' understanding in learning Indonesian "Writing Report" in class IX of SMPN 1 Gebang Cirebon

The focus of this article is on the analysis of student’s writing before and after the implementation of Read-to-Write Approach. Read-to-write approach is one of strategies of how to write by reading the articles what other writers have written. This study aimed to find out how the students’ writing skill can be improved through the implementation of read-to-write approach. This research used the instruments of writing tests including pre-test and post-test. The finding showed that students’ writing skill could be improved through the implementation of read-to-write approach during one cycle classroom action research which consisted of four meetings. Actually, this article searched deeply to find out how the differences between the writing results of the student after and before the implementation of read-to-write approach. The analysis was conducted by using analytic scoring rubric. The results of the analysis showed improvement on each aspect of writing.Keywords: read-to-write approach, reading and writing skill, holistic scoring rubric, analytic scoring rubric

Education and Training is a form of institutional intervention so that employees have competency standards so that they are able to carry out their duties properly and appropriately. This study discusses the improvement of teacher competency in the implementation of scientific publications through Training in the Workplace (DDTK) Classroom Action Research (PTK). DDTK aims to improve the technical competence of civil servants and non-civil servants of the ministry of religion according to their duties and positions and develop insight into employee duties related to new regulations / policies / provisions, new technologies, or new knowledge relevant to their main tasks and functions. The main objective of Classroom Action Research (CAR) is the improvement and improvement of learning services. The population and sample of this study were participants of the Madrasah teacher training in the Workplace (DDTK) in Bangka, Belitung, and East Belitung Regencies in the 2016 and 2017. The study used multiple regression using Adjusted Square. Calculations for this multiple regression using SPSS statistical version 16 software. From the results of the research, it was found that the average of DDTK Bangka District Classroom Action Research (PTK) 2016 and 2017 were 51.41, and the average DDTK Class Action Research substance (PTK) Belitung Regency in 2016 and 2017 amounted to 50.39, with a difference in mean scores of 1.02. The average understanding of madrasah teachers in Bangka Regency 2016 and 2017 PTK writing was 118.20, and the average madrasah teacher understanding in Belitung Regency PTK writing in 2016 and 2017 was 118.88, with a mean difference of 0.68. The regression coefficient of the Education and Training Center (DDTK) variable (X2) has a positive sign (0.074), which means that the Education and Training Center (DDTK) variable has a positive influence on teacher understanding. The hypothesis which states that there is an effect of the Workplace Education Training (DDTK) substance on Classroom Action Research (CAR) on the understanding of madrasah teachers in writing PTK is statistically proven. Keywords: Training at Workplace, Classroom Action Research, Teacher's Understanding

This Collaborative Classroom Action Research aimed at enhancing students’ speaking skill through the application of Circle Game. It was conducted in one cycle consisting of two meetings. The subject was the seventh of C class of SMPN 2 Alas Barat consisting of 22 students. The types of data were qualitative (acquiring observation during the learning process) and quantitative (speaking tests). The results qualitatively showed that the implementation of Circle Game enhanced the students’ speaking skills. Such improvement could be seen from their enthusiasm, their interesting feeling in various materials presented by the teacher, their active involvement. In the quantitative findings, the result also showed a higher value of the mean score of the post-test (77.34) rather than the pre-test (75.75). In conclusion, the use of Circle Game can improve students’ speaking skill.

This study presents a research report on improving students’ Learning results on IPA through Video. The objective was to find out whether students’ learning result improved when they are taught by using Video. It was conducted using classroom action research method. The subject of the study was the Grade IV students of SDN 187/IV Kota Jambi which is located on Jln. Adi Sucipto RT 05 Kecamatan Jambi Selatan, and the number of the students were 21 persons. The instruments used were test. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the on fisrt sycle was 65,4 (42,85%) and the mean on cycle two was 68,5 (37,15%) and the mean of the third cycle was 81,4 (100%). Then it can be concluded that the use of video on learning IPA can improve the students’ learning result. It is suggested that teachers should use video as one of the media to improve students’ learning result on IPA.Keywords : IPA, students’ learning result, video
