Pigeon Inspired Optimization (PIO) algorithm is gaining popularity since its development due to faster convergence ability with great efficiencies when compared with other bio-inspired algorithms. The navigation capability of homing pigeons has been precisely used in Pigeon Inspired Optimization algorithm and continuous advancement in existing algorithms is making it more suitable for complex optimization problems in various fields. The main theme of this survey paper is to introduce the basics of PIO along with technical advancements of PIO for the motion planning techniques of dynamic agents. The survey also comprises of findings and limitations of proposed work since its development to help the research scholar around the world for particular algorithm selection especially for motion planning. This survey might be extended up to application based in order to understand the importance of algorithm in future studies.

Nature Inspired Optimization Algorithms have become popular for solving complex Optimization problems. Two most popular Global Optimization Algorithms are Genetic Algorithms (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). Of the two, PSO is very simple and many Research Scientists have used PSO to solve complex Optimization Problems. Hence PSO is chosen in this work. The primary focus of this paper is on imitating God who created the nature. Hence, the term "Artificial God Optimization (AGO)" is coined in this paper. AGO is a new field, which is invented in this work. A new Algorithm titled "God Particle Swarm Optimization (GoPSO)" is created and applied on various benchmark functions. The World's first Hybrid PSO Algorithm based on Artificial Gods is created in this work. GoPSO is a hybrid Algorithm, which comes under AGO Field as well as PSO Field. Results obtained by PSO are compared with created GoPSO algorithm. A list of opportunities that are available in AGO field for Artificial Intelligence field experts are shown in this work.

Recently, several new metaheuristic schemes have been introduced in the literature. Although all these approaches consider very different phenomena as metaphors, the search patterns used to explore the search space are very similar. On the other hand, second-order systems are models that present different temporal behaviors depending on the value of their parameters. Such temporal behaviors can be conceived as search patterns with multiple behaviors and simple configurations. In this paper, a set of new search patterns are introduced to explore the search space efficiently. They emulate the response of a second-order system. The proposed set of search patterns have been integrated as a complete search strategy, called Second-Order Algorithm (SOA), to obtain the global solution of complex optimization problems. To analyze the performance of the proposed scheme, it has been compared in a set of representative optimization problems, including multimodal, unimodal, and hybrid benchmark formulations. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed SOA method exhibits remarkable performance in terms of accuracy and high convergence rates.

Abstract This review is focused on the utilization of insects as a new opportunity in food and feed products, including their commercialization both in traditional and new markets. It has been suggested that insects are considerably more sustainable when compared with other sources of animal protein, thus alleviating the pressure over the environment and the planet facing the necessity to feed the world population, constantly increasing. Many chefs have adhered to the trend of using insects in their culinary preparations, bringing insects to the plan of top gastronomy, highlighting their organoleptic qualities allied to a recognized high nutritional value. However, in some markets, insects or insect-based products are not readily accepted because of neophobia and disgust. Moreover, the insect markets, farming, and commercialization are experiencing a huge growth, in which the domain of animal feed is undoubtedly a very strong component. The future of insects as human food and animal feed seems promising in view of the recent trends and challenges.

AbstractBio-inspired optimization aims at adapting observed natural behavioral patterns and social phenomena towards efficiently solving complex optimization problems, and is nowadays gaining much attention. However, researchers recently highlighted an inconsistency between the need in the field and the actual trend. Indeed, while nowadays it is important to design innovative contributions, an actual trend in bio-inspired optimization is to re-iterate the existing knowledge in a different form. The aim of this paper is to fill this gap. More precisely, we start first by highlighting new examples for this problem by considering and describing the concepts of chunking and cooperative learning. Second, by considering particle swarm optimization (PSO), we present a novel bridge between these two notions adapted to the problem of feature selection. In the experiments, we investigate the practical importance of our approach while exploring both its strength and limitations. The results indicate that the approach is mainly suitable for large datasets, and that further research is needed to improve the computational efficiency of the approach and to ensure the independence of the sub-problems defined using chunking.

The 25 years of the post-Mao era of Chinese fiction is divided into two distinct stages: the pre-1989 period, and the post-1989 period. If this division is true about almost everything else in China, it is especially true with literature. This is because literature had been used as a lethal weapon for political struggle by Mao before and during his regime, and this tradition, though strongly challenged in the post-Mao era, still lingers, though in very different forms now and much watered down. Even the recent trends of art for art's sake, or for the sake of entertainment, or for the sake of religious consciousness, could also be read as political gestures, and are indeed treated as such by Chinese literary officialdom, and also by Western China experts. Despite the fact that Chinese fiction has been highly politicized, this paper will examine, as much as possible, the development of fiction as an art. Only the artistic quality can support my argument that recent novels from China deserve not only more scholarly attention but also more reader appreciation than they have hitherto received around the world.

The artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm is a prominent swarm intelligence technique due to its simple structure and effective performance. However, the ABC algorithm has a slow convergence rate when it is used to solve complex optimization problems since its solution search equation is more of an exploration than exploitation operator. This paper presents an improved ABC algorithm for solving integer programming and minimax problems. The proposed approach employs a modified ABC search operator, which exploits the useful information of the current best solution in the onlooker phase with the intention of improving its exploitation tendency. Furthermore, the shuffle mutation operator is applied to the created solutions in both bee phases to help the search achieve a better balance between the global exploration and local exploitation abilities and to provide a valuable convergence speed. The experimental results, obtained by testing on seven integer programming problems and ten minimax problems, show that the overall performance of the proposed approach is superior to the ABC. Additionally, it obtains competitive results compared with other state-of-the-art algorithms.

The Rudraksha beads are traditionally used as prayer beads in Hinduism (especially Shaivism) throughout India. Apart from the religious importance, medicinal, bio-magnetic and electrical properties of the Rudraksha beads have also been reported. This commodity is in high demand from the devotees across the world. Therefore, this is in trade throughout the country and abroad. The recent trends in import and export of Rudraksha beads in India have been described in the present article, considering scant publications on this aspect.
