This essay is an attempt to show the different ways in which Deleuze’s philosophy can help us to interpret art. The main ideas or philosophical standpoints I use to analyze the paintings of Egon Schiele and Robert Musil’s novel The Confusions of Young Törless are elaborated in the book he wrote with Felix Guattari, A Thousend Plateaus. In the end, however, the very interpretation of these works of art should shed a new light on the understanding of Deleuze’s thought.

Egon Schiele (1890–1918) is one of the most significant representatives of Austrian expressionism, whose works influenced not only numerous painters and graphic artists, but dancers and theatrical stage employees as well. However, few academic publications are devoted to E. Schiele’s creative work, and among the existing ones, there is a significant proportion of those where his paintings are considered as the evidence of deviations in the painter’s mental health. The main method used in the present work is the philosophical and art studies analysis, appealing to the universal meanings of works of art. Three paintings: Self-Portrait with Black Vase (1911), The Holy Family (1913) and Death and the Maiden (1915), which can be combined into one series demonstrating the genesis of Egon Schiele’s ideas about art in general and about his creative work in particular, are the material for this study

All that is humanAbstractIn Historie florenckie Ewa Białkowska focuses on the vast cultural heritage of RenaissanceFlorence, however, she begins by mentioning a disastrous flood of the 1960s that couldhave easily ruined said heritage. The present article aims at presenting the main ideas ofthe book and more importantly to pinpoint those elements that contribute to its originality.Even though Historie florenckie focus mainly on showing the most important works of art ofTuscany’s capital, in their descriptions a vital role is played by identifying the relationshipbetween a piece of art and a human, between culture and society in which it is created. Theinteraction between human and art appears to be the most interesting aspect of the book. Keywords: Florence, travel, renaissance art

This article aims to analyse the strategies that jazz musicians in Barcelona adopt to develop their artistic careers. It focuses on studying three main areas that influ-ence the construction of their artistic-professional strategies: a) the administrative dimension, characterized mainly by management and promotion tasks; b) the artistic-creative dimension, which includes the construction of artistic identity and the creation of works of art; and c) the social dimension within the collective, which groups together strategies related to the dynamics of cooperation and col-laboration between the circle of musicians. The applied methodology came from a qualitative perspective, and the main research methods were semi-structured inter-views conducted with active professional musicians in Barcelona and from partic-ipant observation.

This work confirmed the hypotheses about the influence of the mood index on Twitter on the pricing of art objects and the difference between the experts' estimations and the final price of the auction. The hypotheses were tested with the use of a sample of 83 paintings selected on the basis of ratings of ARTNET's online resource about the most expensive works of art ever sold in the last 10–15 years. The sample consisted of 25 artists, for each of them was made an index of moods on Twitter. This index was created by a sentimental analysis of each tweet about the artist on the hashtag for a period of 2 to 4 months between the announcements of sales in the open sources and the direct sale of the work with the use of the two dictionaries AFINN and NRC.

In the modern world, one of the main functions of museums is to organize the preservation of pieces of art and arrange their presentation to museum visitors. Since the modern exhibition is based on the artificial lighting, it is necessary to properly arrange this lighting; otherwise, it can negatively affect the safety of museum pieces. The article sets out the views on the criteria of professional lighting of works of art, as it is always a compromise between the custodians and the lighting engineers. The authors also attempt to disclose the processes of organizing museum lighting and give a generalized description of the standards and rules, which serve as a basis to realize this lighting. The main reasons for the need to rethink these standards and rules (and even to revise them), in connection with the emergence of new LED sources, have been outlined.

Reading is one of the important aspects in the communication process. Reading can make someone better understand the contents of the reading. In learning to make it easier for students to understand the contents of the reading it will be easier if it begins with the ability to determine the main ideas of the paragraph. Based on this, the researcher conducted a study by applying the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model to the ability to determine the main idea of the paragraph at the fifth grade students of SD 003 Pulau Kopung. This study aims to determine the effect of the CIRC learning model on the ability to determine the main ideas of paragraphs of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 003 Pulau Kopung. This research method is a quasi- experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted in two classes, the VA class as the control class and VB class as the experimental class with 22 students in each class. The results of the study showed that the CIRC learning model influenced the ability to determine paragraph main ideas with the results of calculations derived from the gain index, the experimental class using the CIRC learning model got an increase in gain of 0.59 with the middle class and the control class with the normal learning model got an increase of 0.31 with medium class.

In the article the author analyzes the main notional lines in the work of A.I. Solzhenitsyn through the prism of Russian philosophy legacy. According to the author the analysis of the nature, motives and lie in the works of the writer are related to the respective works of F.M. Dostoevsky, K.N. Leontiev and other Russian thinkers. «All Communist content is turned into nonsense by the Russian life», and «all its nonsense is severe due to the intolerable truth of the suffering…», – this statement of F.A. Stepun is well pertinent to the creative work of A.I. Solzhenitsyn that shows vivid examples of barbaric cruelty of the authorities towards the people. Still, according to the author of the article, the reasons for such cruelty were reflected even earlier, in the works of Russian philosophers of the 19th century.
